    The bar

The 3 of us each ordered the Scallopini El Pollo and the Allegra Salad. We've been here multiple times. We really wish they were open for lunch. The chicken was very thinly sliced, covered in creamy lemony sauce. The 3 pieces of chicken were placed on some creamy and tasty mashed potatoes. Next, on the plate, we had cooked small carrots, roasted squash and brussel sprouts. All tasted very good. Lots of food left over for lunches. The wait staff were polite, attentive and friendly. I took photos of the interior and exterior. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the patio area, which was warm and nicely decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sorry, I was hungry and forgot to take photos of the food.

Usually wonderful service and good food. We had the lasagna, pumpkin tortellini and the chicken scaloppini with lemon caper sauce. For desert we had the creme brûlée and coffee gelato affogato. The dishes came out fairly quickly and everything was delicious except for a few exceptions. One of orders came out incorrectly. My friend had ordered the pumpkin lasagna special but she got the regular lasagna. The other critic I had was with pumpkin tortellini dish. It just needed more seasoning, a tad more salt. I couldn't really taste the sage either. Otherwise the service was good, everyone very friendly. The ambience is also very nice. There is a bar area as well as the main dining area that is pretty spacious. Plenty of parking as it is located in a shopping center.

If you're looking for authentic Italian with an unforgettable experience, Piccola Osteria is it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance strikes the perfect balance. It is warm, inviting, and intimate without feeling crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed dinner and still feel like you're somewhere special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is even better than the atmosphere, and that is saying something. Every visit, the team is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. We come here often, and the consistency is what really sets them apart. The service never wavers. You are treated like a valued guest every single time. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether it is a classic pasta, fresh seafood, or one of their specials, you really cannot go wrong. Piccola Osteria has become one of our go to spots for good reason. Exceptional ambiance, top tier service, and consistently outstanding food. Highly recommend.

Recently had our work Christmas dinner at Piccola Osteria. The service was great! We were offered drinks and appetizers right away. I ordered an espresso martini, it was very good. I ordered the Rigatoni Salsiccia based off other reviews I read and it was a winner! The sauce is thick and flavorful, just delicious. My friend ordered the Scaloppine di pollo which looked delicious. To help celebrate my birthday, the waiter brought out a cream filled cannoli, very sweet of him. The place was packed for dinner but the service and waiters were all great!

Arancini Siciliani, Salsa Marinara, Nero d'Avola red wine

Pleasant 21st century contemporary place with a long bar. Nice atmosphere where it's not deafeningly loud like many restaurants in Los Angeles where unimportant people who want to be noticed are the loudest. My waitress was efficient, aware of customer needs at many times ahead of my requests which came to mind. 1) Arancini Siciliani: Finely breaded tear drop shaped, rice that is tinged with tasty Sugo di Pomodoro/tomato sauce. Stuffed with red wine, tomato braised shortrib, peas, hint of Mozzarella. All fried like a fritter. Accompanied by a gravy boat of Salsa Marinara. These Arancini are one of the tastiest in a long time. 2) Mezze Lune di Crostacei/crustaceans: Half moon shaped Ravioli stuffed with a shrimp and scallop mince meat. (Technically scallops are not crustaceans but mollusks.) Plumped, meaty, moist sautéed shrimp with a cream saffron sauce that did not have that oyster scent unique to saffron. For me, the Ravioli pasta was too thick in comparison to the small amount of the shrimp & scallops stuffing so that all I could sense was the carbs. Still acceptable as a pasta dish. A worthy Secondi from a 2022 menu would have been Lombata di Vitelo Milanese. Veal loin breaded and fried accompanied by a fresh vegetable medley. But I was too filled by the Antipasto & the Pasta, anyway. 1-2a) Nero d'Avola, Donnafugata, "Sedara", Sicilia, Italia 2020: Typically juicy fruits of cherry, plum, blackberry. Smooth acidity, lower tannins, mellow. Hint of cinnamon, allspice. 3) Crostata di More: Plush, soft, moist Tart is made of almond flour brushed with Beurre Noisette/browned butter topped with a dollop of vanilla bean ice cream. Surrounded by Sauce Anglaise custard cream & soupçon of strawberry sauce. Extra sweet fresh blackberries, blueberries, strawberry & mint leaf accent with a splash of whipped cream from a can rounds out this creation. The tart itself was a bit gummy upon chewing, but the exemplary fruits were the hit of this Dolce. Friendly staff, good surroundings, competent food makes Osterìa Piccola the premier Italian in Santa Clarita along with, I assume, its sister, Trattoria Piccola. 4 stars

I tried the Trattoria location too, and both are just amazing. Came here for dinner with my family and I I'm so happy we chose this place. The food is great. I got the truffle pasta, got my dad the veal, salmon for my mom, my kids got different types of pasta, we also got a margherita pizza, and everyone enjoyed their food! The servers were also super attentive and they were just so friendly and helpful!

    Panna Cotta x2! :)
    Rochelle M.

Our son chose Piccola Osteria for his birthday dinner. It was surprisingly busy on a Sunday night, but with reservations we were seated immediately upon check in. We started with warm bread and cocktails. Our son ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita and his wife chose to have a glass of Moscato. My son said his drink was a bit strong. The food was beautifully presented and overall delicious. Our appetizers were quite good. The Chilean Sea Bass and Branzino were exceptional. My husband felt the Osso Bucco was ok. The portion was smaller than expected and it was not as flavorful as he's had elsewhere. The Panna Cotta is a favorite -- not too sweet, perfectly balanced with a slightly tart sauce and mixed berries. The service -- EXCELLENT from start to finish. The staff is incredibly attentive, warm and professional. We never had to ask for anything. Even the smallest details from changing the utensils with each course to packing our leftovers were done with meticulous care. We'll definitely be back.

    What is the dress code?

There isn't exactly a dress code. It could be casual, however, dress how you like. But it is a nice place with white table tops.

Is this place stroller/kid friendly? Do they have high chairs?

I'm fairly sure they do. I vaguely remember seeing high chairs around. And kids are always welcome as long as they're well-behaved and not throwing pasta across the room 😂 As for the stroller, I'm not exactly sure.

    Vegan options available?

Some items on the menu show that they may be vegan. I don't know if the sauces are cooked with meat products. The best way to check would be to call them, they are very friendly and willing to answer any questions.

Hi are you still seating outdoors?

Well they weren't doing it during the winter months, but, hey - it was in the 80's the last few days, so, they may have changed.

Does anyone know if they serve gluten free options for pizza or pasta?

Hi! We do have gluten free pasta options, although we do not have gluten free pizza.

    Do they take reservations?

Yes. You can do it online

    Is there a cork fee?

    yes $20

Sarah is super friendly, explained the menu and provided great table service. They have a large wine selection. My wife ordered a chardonnay and I stuck with an Arnold Palmer. We ordered their bruschetta appetizer, served as six pieces of toasted bread and the expected toppings. It was a perfect start to our meal. We were not super hungry, and selected a three-cheese charcuterie board. You are able to select your cheeses, and Sarah again helped us make our decision. It was perfect for a summer-weather afternoon (although in March) and we chatted, had our drinks and picked at the board until it was gone. During our meal, Sarah was very attentive to our needs. My wife tried another chard, and we ordered their banana dessert, which had great flavor and was a nice end to the meal. This is a great place to quietly enjoy some wine, beer and food. They have a good sized menu and offer a brunch menu on Sundays. (Diane, Sarah needs a bonus, she made the evening much fun).

The host person she was amazing and friendly and I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but she's been there for a long. Your wines are good little pricey for my taste for the options you get of mostly just red's or for what you get. I wish you had a better variety of whites. Anyways, we got in there. We sat on the couch in the front unfortunately for us. It was the only day we can come and they had a Christmas in July thing going on in the streets. Unfortunate for me as I've had a knee replacement and we drove around for 30 minutes trying to even find a parking spot to get in there cause we had to pick up our wines with the subscriptions /membership that we had. My daughter and her friend were there and enjoy their selves immensely so with all the hype that she was telling me about this place I was excited to go, but like I said, unfortunately, you were having Christmas in July nothing but screaming kids running around and the streets were packed... not what I wanted for a relaxing environment. But once we got into the establishment, like I said, we sat on the couch we started to have our tasting. It was peaceful and quiet and then all of a sudden these family start walking in with all their kids and it became a romper room. This is a winery. This is a place that adults go to relax shouldn't have children running under foot while you're trying to taste wines or just relax. That was the biggest disappointment I have with this place is that you allow children to run around I will not return. I'd rather go to a wine where I can relax... Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. They also have a cute little shop inside with snacks and gift options. I picked up some crackers and organic raspberry Red Vines, which was a fun little bonus. The downside for me was the tasting experience. Tastings are done at the counter, so we had to stand at the bar while tasting, even though there is plenty of beautiful seating throughout the property. There were three people working behind the bar. The two helpers were very kind, friendly, and seemed like they were learning the ropes. Unfortunately, the woman with the long black, curly/wavy hair seemed to be running the show, and her personality really put a damper on our experience. She came across as extremely cold and unwelcoming, and honestly looked like she didn't want to be there, girl looks miserable. We didn't stay after the tasting. I really like being able to relax and enjoy my time at a winery, and when the service feels unwelcoming, it takes away from the experience for me. Everything was well organized and the staff made us feel welcome right away. The food was amazing--the wings, cheese sticks, and pretzel bites were huge hits with everyone at the party. You can tell the kitchen cares about what they're putting out. Chef Angel was especially friendly and professional, and it was clear he takes pride in the food. The service was excellent too. Chris and the bartenders/servers were quick, attentive, and super friendly, even with a big group. Drinks were coming out fast and everyone felt taken care of. Overall the whole place was clean, accommodating, and just a really fun atmosphere for a birthday celebration. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back for another night of pool, food, and drinks. Highly recommend for parties or a fun night out!

My first time visiting The Break Room, and I'm sure I'll be back. This is a large,…read morenicely-maintained pool room with assorted other games available (darts and such), a great digital jukebox system, and plenty of TV's playing sports. The decor is "industrial," but it's clean and airy, so there's no sense of being in a "dive" -- in fact, this is a family-friendly place, and I saw some youngish couples playing pool on what seemed to be afternoon dates. The physical bar is relatively small, with only about 8-12 seats, but that's because they're keeping as much space open as possible for game play. The staff was friendly and chatty, and seemed quite intent on making sure everyone had everything they needed. The menu is wider and more interesting than one would expect in a pool hall environment, with creative pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and salads promising a more unique and memorable meal than the average hangout. I opted to try the Pastrami Pizza: a traditional tomato and mozzarella pie topped with what they call "mustard fried pastrami," onions, chopped pickles, and a drizzle of yellow mustard. It's a good-sized pizza, larger than a true individual pie, and enough for 2 people to share. The pastrami was savory without being too salty, while the pickles, onions and mustard all added nice pops of flavor without feeling like a gimmick. My one disappointment was that the pizza was not prepared well-done as requested, making the crust more doughy than crisp. Also, the temperature in the venue was darn near frigid, so my pizza got cold very quickly, which reduced my ability to enjoy it as much as I would have if the pie had been piping hot. Other food being enjoyed in close proximity to me looked and smelled very good (wings and burgers), and like I said, the people were all top notch hosts. So, while the final pizza prep could use some improvement, I think these folks are doing a very good job of making bar food that's more interesting and memorable than you'll find anywhere else in the area. Definitely stop in and give them a whirl.
