Inside has plenty of seating. Tables and chairs. I ordered a rare steak and meatball phó, and chicken satay. I got an order of beef larb, and papaya salad to go. The phó was decent. The satay was great. With those dishes I was thinking this will be my new go to. The service was only ok for me. Back at the house I ate the larb. It was too thick. I didn't order a tiger cry dish. Larb is finely minced beef, pork, or chicken. This was not that. Not a fan. The papaya salad was the same way cut too thick. I wanted to try some more authentic Thai dishes. Unfortunately those were a let down for me. I give this place 3.5 stars. Rounded up to four.

Quick and attentive service. We started with crispy dumplings (6), crispy egg rolls (2), and a scallion pancake. Bing, their crepe, wasn't available our night. My dining companions loved the pancake - for me perhaps a bit too much drizzled sauce. It was helpfully quartered when brought to the table so sharing was easy. The dumplings were indeed crispy and probably my favorite with a standard dark dipping sauce. The egg rolls were standard and perhaps a bit undersized and over fried, but a good creamy dipping sauce was a pivot away from the sweet chili sauce that usually accompanies such apps. Ramen is clearly the focus of the menu and three of us had ramen with chicken and one with pork. They spoke favorably of the broth and the combos of mushrooms, boiled egg, greens. I had the rice vermicelli with chicken that they called a salad. I was expecting the classic Vietnamese staple but this one had some adaptations, perhaps to a fusion or one might say less ethnic nod. Small things but the ample portion served in a small bowl made it hard to mix the rice noodles, lettuce, carrot, cucumber and chicken that is a common approach to the dish after drowning all the ingredients in both sweet sauce (nuoc cham), siracha and/or hoisin sauce. It only came with the nuoc cham. They brought Siracha when I asked for it, but I'm a fan of having these condiments on the table standard. Again, had the sense that the business lunch crowd that is probably the primary audience isn't likely to be as focused on the more authentic ingredients. The chicken was also not grilled and sliced but had a pleasant preparation. Just know it won't be the charred flavor that is so common. Finally, not to obsess on this one dish, but cutting the lettuce leaves more would enable easier chop sticks combos of the ingredients in single bites. Overall it worked for us. I am definitely the most focused on (my companions would say obsessed) on connection to what these dishes should be. If adaptations work well for you, Tiger+Lily likely will as well.

When places don't provide a placemat, you risk food getting on your lap and pants. This would be a simple suggestion and fix. The egg rolls came out first. The presentation was really nice. They were nice and crisp, not soggy, like some places. The dipping sauce was perfect. I thought they were delicious. We are off to a good start! The Penang curry came out looking delicious. It was nothing like my DoorDash meal. The portions were good. Fair amount of chicken. Loved the flavor and spice. Some of the best flavor I've had in this dish in a long time. This dish came with rice. I don't know what happened with my DoorDash order, so I'm happy I stopped in to give them another chance. The portion was a nice size as well, I had some to take home. As for the environment, the inside of the restaurant was beautiful, the lanterns that hung from the ceiling were fun! They also had anime on the TV, so bonus points for that. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly, and answered any questions I had. The only downside in my opinion was the temperature in the restaurant, it may have just been a humid day, but there was not much airflow inside so it was very hot and humid.

We were visiting family during Christmas. I was amazed by how well the restaurant ran on Christmas Day. We had a very large order scheduled to be picked up around 5 PM. when we arrived. The food was ready. The staffs were very friendly, regardless of how busy they were. Several people that they were waiting for over 20 minutes for their order. This didn't happen to us. It was likely because we scheduled our order ahead of time. I was told the calling order without scheduling at a almost 2 hour wait time. I am very glad we scheduled our order ahead of time. Nevertheless, a wait time of two hours on Christmas Day is not horrible, considering this is one of the only restaurants that open on Christmas Day. They had the dining room set up for people who are waiting to be seated and weight comfortably, which was very considerate two thumbs up for their managements thoughtfulness to their customers! read more

Visiting family. We have a ton of Chinese food in California by where we live. I must say this restaurant is added to my revisiting list next time we come back to Columbus. We had a takeout on Christmas Day. We waited for one hour to pick up our food, which was pretty reasonable wait time on Christmas. It was worthy. The pad Thai was my favorite. The spring roll was a must! My daughter really enjoyed her tofu lo mein and my dad loved his drunken noodle. My mom kept saying we must try this family restaurant at the corner. We finally did and was not disappointed. We were hoping to sit down to eat, but they had takeout only on Christmas Day. Their dinning room was converted to seating areas for customers waiting to pickup food, which was very sweet. Next time we come back, we are going to dine in. The place was well decorated. read more

I'm from California, and whenever I come in town I always find my way to Chi Thai. The friendly greeting and the services once you walk in makes you feel like your at home. Even though I only come once or twice a year, they remember who I am and ask me how I'm doing. The food is just amazing! My go to is the Mongolian beef and the Hong Kong style fish. But I always start off with a egg drop soup. If you're looking for authentic Asian food, this is place to go! I always leave with a full and happy stomach. read more

I always head to Chi Thai's when I have a large group. Their very accommodating, service is great, and the food always comes out promptly. I love the look of chi Thai, it's an upscale Chinese restaurant and I like that it doesn't fall into tacky Asian decor trap that many other Chinese place do. The food is always consistent and there plenty in a portion. I would recommend doing family style and sharing dishes as a table so you can try multiple things! read more
