Worth the long wait to sit out on the deck overlooking Brandy Pond and the Naples Causeway. I had the scallops, which were excellent, and my son loved the prime rib sandwich. My mom enjoyed the lobster roll. They were very sweet to my mom's corgi and brought him a bowl of whipped cream. Awesome summertime spot. read more

You probably don't want me to share my opinion. We received a cold food. Maybe it was because we showed up there at 7:30 but it's the only time we can get out because we have kids. Rarely get out and then when we do, we don't even get a good meal. Very upsetting and we didn't say anything because I'm not gonna send food back and have to worry about something in it. If you can't do your job right the first time I don't trust you the second time. read more

Love the atmosphere here. In the summer you can look out at the boats cruising the causeway. In the winter it's still a fun place. Food is always good and the waitress and bartenders are great. The pork chop was tender and tasteful but the canned apples were a turnoff . Fresh apple slices would be so much more appealing. read more

What a beautiful spot with views of the marina and the lakes from the elevated restaurant. I went on a Thursday at lunch with my guide dog in training to meet a friend. The fried haddock sandwich (we both ordered it) was delish, the homemade fries were great and I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw. Service was okay. Too long of a wait for the waitress to come take my credit card so I pulled out cash so we could leave. We left because IMO, the 4-6 dogs who were also on the patio were not well behaved. They barked quite a bit (and every time a new dog came into the restaurant). One was not being managed by their owner and approached our table. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about well behaved dogs being allowed. These were not that, nor did the management ever approach them to perhaps being their dog into better compliance. Kicked off our 20th summer in Maine here yesterday. It's service like this that will bring us back all summer long. We were celebrating my son's college graduation with a party of 15, ages 2-83. Our server, Sam, was just wonderful! All the staff were helpful in getting the delicious meals served to us, the food was great. Everyone loved their meals. The restaurant itself was really nice. Comfortable seating, good vibes, clean, modern, great views. Service was excellent! Super friendly waitress, quick response. Even though it was busy we didn't feel pushed out. Enjoyed our meal. However, the food was a bit lacking. A few of us had the fish and chips, fish was just okay, the breaded batter was not great and it was overcooked. The coleslaw was just gross. It was bitter, wilted, warm and just plain inedible. The fish sandwich was good and the mac and cheese was served nearly cold and congealed. The watermelon splash cocktail was excellent! But the coconut margarita tasted like pure tequila. Had to ask for some pineapple juice to tame it down so it was drinkable. For the price, the food should be better. Visiting the area staying at a Vrbo and the host of the home listed Captain Jack's as a local restaurant to eat at. We went on a Thursday night and they had live music. We sat in the area beside the bar. The vibe is very casual and laid back. I ordered the falafel burger with aoli with the house chips on a gluten free bun. Personally I didn't feel like there was enough aoli so I ordered a side of mayonnaise. The hubs ordered prime rib with coles slaw and mashed potatoes. He ended up with asparagus which he doesn't eat but they gladly brought him additional potatoes. One of our friends ordered the lobster roll. She said the lobster comes cold and she ordered additional butter. She said that with the lobster being cold the flavor doesn't come out as good. For the prime rib and falafel burger with drinks the cost was $52. We would definitely go back. read more

While I grew up in Maine, it's only been the last two summers (this being my third) that I set out to find the very best lobster roll in the state. The one I had today is firmly in my top four. Half a pound of meat. Grilled bun. Coupled with sweet potato fries and a Lunch IPA. Damn close to perfection!! I was seated right away even though they were busy. Right on the water. We love this place. Everytime we come it's a great experience. My family has a lot of food restrictions, celiac disease as well shellfish allergy, and they accommodate wonderfully. The view is great, the staff is amazing and the food is yummy (some of the best gluten-free tenders I've ever had). Also, it's hard to find lobster rolls that are gluten-free which is a plus. Quoted a 55 minute wait but watched 3-4 tables sit vacant for 20+ minutes. Food was good. Smashed Burgers, chips, onion rings were a 10. The north shore roast beef should've been warm not cold. The waitress handed the bill for the amount, I got the cash ready for tip and signed without looking at the cc receipt, I noticed before leaving the amount charged was $32 higher coincidentally the exact amount of the 22% tip I didn't leave on the CC. Watch your CC receipts for them trying to get double tips. read more

I hate writing bad reviews, but I did not enjoy my experience here. We asked to start with a pub pretzel but it came out with our meals all at once. I ordered my steak tips medium but they had no pink whatsoever. They were so fatty that I had to spit them out in my napkin. The asparagus served with it was very good, but the rice served with it seemed like it came out of a Near East box of rice pilaf. I tried some of my husband's open faced turkey dinner and I wished I had ordered that. He offered to switch with me but I couldn't take his meal knowing he wouldn't be able to chew my steak either- I gave him one piece and he also spit it into a napkin. We might've visited during an off night at Captain Jack's. The coolest part of this restaurant is that it's tucked away on dirt road above a boat launch and a bate and tackle shop. We came on a Monday night for some bites and a couple drinks. The servers must have been really busy because we had a hard time finding someone to place an order. We got some wine, hard cider, a BLT and a cup of lobster bisque. The BLT was very average. The lobster bisque was disappointing, it tasted a lot like thick flour soup with not a lot of flavor. It was a Monday.. we could've ordered better.. I think the location alone makes this place worthwhile to visit if you have some time in Naples. read more

Horrible service by the entire staff. After 13 years we will never go back. In talking with other people apparently this is their normal way of treating their patrons. We were surprised by terrible service by the staff tonight. Three ladies working the bar and we consistently had to ask for service the entire night. We waited a considerable time to get any of their attention to get drinks and order food (because they were all talking with friends across the bar). We finally got one of their attention and when she came over we got an attitude, no eye contact and disinterested expressions, like we were bothering her. All of them showed disinterest and poor customer service. The dinner and drinks were great as usual but no one came back to check on us and we once again had to flag someone down for drink refills. Finally the plates were cleared and we did not receive a check and again tried to get anyone's attention to get the check. When we did and expressed our frustration we were met with sarcasm and rude comments indicating she didn't need our service. I had wanted to try this place for the last two summers and on Sunday I got to. It didn't disappoint. We sat out on the deck on a picture perfect day. Shannon served us and she was attentive and super accommodating. Met Billy and his wife Sam while there and they made us feel like we were regulars. Food was fantastic and the drinks were exceptional. Definitely plan on visiting when in the area. I ordered the scallops wrapped in bacon I liked them but personally I'd ask for the mustard sauce on the side so you can dip if you want. We still ate the 5 that came with it but I'd prefer with the sauce on the side. My husband got fried shrimp and he said it was some of the best shrimp he had had. We recently visited Captain Jack's for the first time, and I cannot say enough about the food. One word, EXCELLENT! The crab cakes were absolutely delicious, as was the smash burger, Falafel wrap, and fried shrimp entree, which were all fairly priced for top quality dishes. The service was exceptional, as were we were originally seated (at our request), on the outside deck overlooking the harbor, but the sun was too hot there so we asked our waitress if we could move to a table in the shade. Even though we had already got our drinks and ordered our food, the waitress cheerfully moved us to a cooler side of the deck. It's things like that which make such a difference in your dining experience. The ambiance is very pleasant whether inside or out, but being able to dine and watch boats pull in and out of the docks was really nice. If you are in Naples and looking for a great seafood restaurant (burgers and other options too!), then head over to Captain Jack's. You will not be disappointed!! read more
