The friendliest, and most amazing store to stop at, if you take a trip to Oxford Maine, stopping at Polly's is a must! The service is incredible and they make you feel at home. Would always Recommend Lisa's breakfast burrito with the aioli sauce! The big Matt pizza and the steak and cheese sandwiches. Don't forget your dessert because they have the BEST whoopie pies fresh out of the fridge or the BEST home made cakes and pastries! The Lemmon bar is my ultimate favorite! Definitely worth a visit! Some of the best subs in the area. Try the meatball, steak & cheese, and the chicken & cheese teriyaki subs. The pizzas are also pretty good - got a large cheese and a small olive pizza. Any of the desserts in the fridge are awesome. Don't leave without dessert!! You can also get beer and some other alcoholic beverages here if you need some to bring back to camp. read more

Not able to review anything else, but I will say everyone I've interacted with who works here has been exceptionally friendly & I've always had great service! I decided to try take out lunch at Polly's Variety after doing a few errands with my son. The store is your typical convenience store with all sorts of items one might need in a pinch and not wanting to venture out to the big grocery store chains. Today my son and I were looking to pick up some takeout for lunch. They had several homemade items ready for the lunch crowd who is simply looking for something quick and hardy. Today they had slices of pizza, cheese burgers and a cheesy pasta dish that looked like something I'd get while visiting my grandmother on a Sunday afternoon. Well today I decided to pass on all the pre made items and pick up the old stand by, a ham Italian with Mayo instead of oil. I also declined the fresh onions and was told that the sandwich automatically comes with tomato, pickle, green pepper and black olives. All of which I wanted plus I asked if they could add some lettuce as well and they said, without hesitation, of course. My son decided on the "Shrek" which consists of lightly breaded chicken with ham and bacon. It was huge and we could smell the bacon cooking while we waited for the sandwich to be constructed. It generally doesn't come with veggies, however my son asked if they could add lettuce and tomato and once again they replied with of course. They also noted that the sandwich comes toasted and did my son want the lettuce and tomato added after or before? He requested after which they promptly honored. I must say the friendliness of the young ladies working the front counter and in the trenches making the food were impeccable with their customer service. This place certainly has its customers at the top of their list. My son loved the sandwich and declared after consuming it that he definitely would order it again. My sandwich was excellent, however the bread was not as gooey as I has hoped for and both sandwiches needed a bit more mayo. So with all this in mind and if you are in the Oxford area and are looking for a quick stop for something good to eat, then make Polly's Variety a must stop. I certainly will and be assured the next time I go, I'm ordering that gooey, cheesy pasta dish! read more

Came here with my husband to get Italians, and they charged us 9 dollars for a pepperoni sub, and 8 for a salami! I've never been to a place where they charge you different depending on what meet you get. $9 is redicioulis for a sub, and they also loaded it with oil! Never coming back here again. read more

Its a nice place. Everyone is very kind. Everything is where you would expect it. Alot of parking spaces. So you will always have somwhere to park. The pizza thats sold there is very good. I really recommend going there. A large pizza is 20 dollars. But that pizza is pretty big even for a large also its very tasty. The food is cooked to perfection. We were staying in town for a night at the casino and didn't really know many food options in the area and Decided to try some food from pollys variety. LOVE this place! We have stopped in your store many times over the years. Always loved your Italian sandwiches. The bread always soft, veggies fresh and sandwich always full. I ordered the same sandwich every time with extra green pepper oil and salt and pepper. Today my husband and I got 2 Italians as I always ordered...but today the bread was not soft, very little filling and NO extra peppers, oil or S&P. Not the usual Polly Italians! This was the only place we would go to get our sandwiches. What a disappointment when we got home. Maybe we will have to start looking elsewhere. Maybe you have an inexperienced worker on today???
