    Pizza is delicious!
    Magnus D.

Recommended by long time Windham folks, we went last week. Really good food. Great pizza for my wife and her friend, and I had the Veal Parmesan with spaghetti on side. It was HUGE! Delicious from first bite to last, I was not deterred by the size. Almost as BG as the plate. They don't skimp. Salad was fresh and the ladies had a couple of nice glasses of wine. Our server is a long time pro. 26 years! She knows everything there is to know about that menu, and is as professional as you'll ever see anywhere. We really liked the warm atmosphere. It's very family, can't duplicate that with decoration, it has to be there, grown through love and care. We met the owner Claudia, and she was as nice as can be. A really concerned and caring individual. We'll be back. It's a great place to bring your family & friends anytime.

Veal Parm, forgot to take picture before digging in. I was too excited but it was pretty big!

This spot was suggested by our Airbnb host. So glad we tried it. Old school spot with really good food. Definitely try the chicken or veal parm!!

Rather charmless service. Server looked as though she didn't want to have anything to do with me. Didn't introduce herself, forgot about my water, monotonously told me "actually we're out of oregano" after asking if I wanted it... looking around the room the other servers seemed much friendlier. The hostess (or the person working at the front register) seemed flustered. I guess a lot of orders were coming in so I know she was busy, but when she ran my card she had to run it twice because she put in the wrong number the first time. The pizza was actually okay. A small size will be good for one person or two dainty eaters. The side salad is kind of a joke. Iceberg lettuce and lots of croutons and cucumbers. Left with a really negative impression.

    Vincenzo's Delight

Finally tried this place for the first time today. Been meaning to for years and it was outstanding. Wife and kids had chicken masala and chicken Alfredo both of which were killer and I had the Vincenzo's Delight pizza which was out of this world good! You could tell all the sauces were homemade and that nicely seasoned ground beef on the pizza was by far the tastiest I've had. When you order ground beef on a pizza at most places you get some highly processed kibble or an afterthought from the freezer but man not here. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and took great care of us. The atmosphere of this place is as cozy as it looks from the outside. We'll definitely be returning soon.

I wanted to like this place and was excited to try it from all the positive reviews. The service was good and our waitress was nice but the food was just not good. The starter salad was tasty. The Italian festival was over cooked and had very little flavor. The pizza was also lacking in flavor and sauce. The seafood broil was odd, the seafood was cooked well but the flavor of the sauce was over powering lemon and not enough garlic. The pasta was flavorless, no amount of cheese or salt and pepper could save it. Overall this is some of the worst Italian food I've ever had at a sit down restaurant.

Chicken and pesto over linguini (lunch menu)

I'm sorry, but...no. I freely admit, as someone with italian heritage, my standards are set higher. I also did restaurant work 6 years, so i cut slack based on reality. We shared the italian festival sampler (garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, and fried ravioli) plus a pasta entree each from the lunch menu. Each pasta came with salad. Apps: garlic bread was clearly margarine based. Not bad, but better can be found. Mozzarella sticks: meh, chunky and short. Edible but not preferred. Fried ravioli: if you fry a thing and it tastes both baked and undercooked...that's a fail. Marinara dip cup: relatively good actually. I make my own to be fair, but this was not too sweet or bitter. Some veg chunks and over a fine profile of flavours. Salad: combined into 1 large container. (If we hadn't wanted to share? If 1 person was taking their food away from ours?) The oil dressing was not flavored at all. PASS Marsala on linguine: wife wasn't thrilled. Marsala has mushrooms so my allergy makes it a no go to try. Chicken pesto on linguini: yikes...just...no. the chicken was cooked and relatively moist. What the hell was that sauce tho? It had the ingredients of a pesto but absolutely drowning in oil. The free included bread (looked store bought) would have drowned in that oil. 3 bites in and i absolutely could not.

    Osso buco

After a week of gorging on lobster we needed something different. Found roses on yelp and thought it sounded like a good dinner on our last night in the area. From the start we had a great experience. Waitress was wonderful. My wife ordered the osso buco special and I ordered from the regular menu. Mine was very good, hers was outstanding. Probably top 10 best meals either of us have had in a restaurant. In a world of lobster Rose's Italian dishes stands out.

Chicken parm and fettuccine Alfredo side

Great food! Great service! Large portions and consistent. They even give you a house salad and bread with every meal. Highly recommend.

Had some really solid thin crust pizzas here. Attentive service. Would stop in again when I'm in the area.

Unbelievably rude "hostess" or owner? I guess maybe I wasn't dressed well enough or I look stupid?…read more I went in in a perfectly clean Carhartt T-shirt, and a decent pair of men's shorts and went up to the takeout counter where I was met with a sneer and I said I'd like a menu so I can order food to go. The menu was handed to me and about five minutes later the worker (about 68 years old) came back and ignored me for a little while while arranging some things on the counter and then asked me if I was ready to order. I asked whether the sausage for the pizza was sliced or crumbled and she said it was sweet sausage so I asked is it crumbled or sliced and she said sliced. Then I asked if they put fresh mushrooms or canned mushrooms on the pizza and she said they have fresh and blanched mushrooms and I asked what blanched mushrooms are (because I'm certain they don't blanch the goddamn things there themselves). And she threw her hands up, waving them and saying loudly those are what SOME PEOPLE call "canned mushrooms". I wanted to ask if she always ridiculed the choice of words of the people who would have spent their money there, but instead I just quietly rolled my eyes and left. I'm not exactly sure what I did wrong to deserve all of the attitude, but this place is not going to get any money from me and I'm certainly not going to recommend it to anybody. I moved to the area recently and I'm just finding places to visit or to eat at. Not that it matters, but I know that my income is about four to 6 times the average income of any of the local folks, and I only like to patronize mom and pop stores, never chains. Oh well.

I will also say knowing this is a sports bar like spot I didn't have the highest expectations to begin with. Which I appreciate when a spot surprises me and blows those expectations out of the water. That did not occur here! It was our second choice for dinner tonight due to our first spot having a wait. So firstly for a positive I will say Deck House does have ample parking and lots of space for people to eat so that's a plus. Also if you are looking for a classic sports bar vibes with many tvs on the walls and plenty of bar seats this may be your spot to catch a game with friends. Overall for our experience service was slow, they were friendly it just took a long time for food and other tables received their food much faster after shorter waits. My wife got the Braised Beef Short Rib and it was cooked well and was extremely tender, she enjoyed it very much. I got the Lobster Mac which was good but much smaller than I expected and some lobster pieces were tough due to their large size. Our meals and then two margaritas which were decent were almost $100. We did get some of the more expensive meals off the menu but I do believe for the price we could get better food elsewhere. I'm glad we tried it but nothing would be worth revisiting for. Hopefully if you visit you have a better experience!

We've driven a bazillion times by Deck House Tavern, and every time we say, "Look at that spot! The…read moreview must be amazing. Let's go one day!" Well, we finally made it happen, and we loved it! I seriously can't wait to go back. Located in Windham and next to a go-kart + mini-golfing spot, odds are you've also driven by this restaurant. The views from the deck are spectacular, and I can't wait to go back during the fall foliage season. The indoor space is also lovely -- it feels like a giant cabin! We loved the vibe: it's cozy, lowkey, and casual, which is precisely what we were looking for. The service was excellent from the minute we walked inside. The hostess was accommodating when we asked to sit at a different table (better views!), and our waitress was kind and constantly checking on us. The menu was more extensive than we expected. They have it all -- an impressive starters section, plenty of pub/tavern food, and even dinner plates. They also had a full cocktail menu (all reasonably priced), plenty of local beers, and wines. We had the strawberry margarita with jalapeño-infused tequila ($10), and it was delicious (albeit a bit small for a marg, but it was also only ten bucks). Our burgers ($18) were great, but unfortunately, a bit overcooked. The fries were just okay, nothing to write home about, and portion-wise, smaller than what we expected. We also ordered their four-cheese macaroni as a starter, and that was delicious! Overall, however, we enjoyed our time and can't wait to return!
