What luck! I wanted Filipino food but all the places seemed closed. I overlooked this restaurant since it states it serves Chinese food. When I tell you I got lost looking for the coffee shop(don't ask definitely directionally challenged) I was "settling" for and this nice gentleman said we have coffee here - I was like cool - do you have Filipino food as well and when he said yes I was sold (I was around back so didn't see the signage). Had lumpia, adobo chicken and coffee. Delicious. Enough for two servings but have a flight to catch. Everyone in there was super nice and this was a happy accident that worked out great. This restaurant is a small one hiding behind Waxys Irish Pub. This place advertised that it sells Filipino food and Chinese food I tired their Filipino food by ordering the Pancit. Their Pancit was so good. Quality of ingredients was delicious, they put enough pork, but not too much or not too little, and the ratio of noodles and vegetables was perfect. The girl that works at the front was super nice and I would definitely come back again. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place and food and service alone. read more

As a one-time visitor to Chibogs, I had actually intended to go across the way for lunch while visiting FL for work, original spot was closed, saw Chibogs and was glad I went there instead! A few notes people had already touched on: BOY is it small inside, literally a hidden gem/hole in the wall. I wanted Filipino food and that's certainly what I got! Went in on a Wednesday afternoon where the featured special amongst a few was lechon kare kare - my absolute favorite. There was already family eating (I think they were part owners?!) and chatting with one of the chefs. They asked me why I liked karekare, said it was my favorite because of my mom and seemed surprised to learn that I was Filipino!! I also ordered the lumpia (so total of just the 2 dishes and rice). I wish I was staying nearby or I'd definitely come in to try something else. Recommend if you want some Filipino food! Can't speak to any of the other Asian dishes but sure it's on par! read more

This small restaurant, and I really mean small...only about 8 people can sit down for dinner here, was a pleasant surprise. I had walked in last Sunday before doing a massage in the area and told the person there that I would be back to try it out. Yesterday was that day. I went with a friend that is not very adventurous when it comes to food and we both really liked it. It's located in a hard to find place as you cannot see if from any street except the one that bisects the strip mall that it's in. I went for Filipino but they do have other offerings, from Vietnamese to Thai to Chinese. Plates are large portions and very tasty from start to finish. Vegetarians are welcome. Watch out for small chili peppers disguising themselves as your fiends unless you want a burning sensation that will start in your mouth and will end up in other orifices. They do a lot of take out and the whole staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had a modified plate, just make sure you tell them what you want exactly and what you don't want...so you don't end up with a shrimp allegry and make a scene. I heard that they change new management so I would give a try, they still adjusting the menu and still using china lui menu plus their special food. They are very dedicated to the cook , especially Filipino food (taste and feel like home) I love their bbq it a Filipino style and vinegar dip. They do every sat and Sunday start at 4 pm . Very fresh and tasty. I also try their shrimp fried rice and also fried fish , it also good . The ambience inside is so welcoming and owner very friendly . Tonight we decided again to order from China Lui, soup was still very hot and delicious, I had Hong Kong and my wife had egg drop, mains my wife had sesame chicken and I had duck. The duck was nowhere even close to as good as my first duck experience, the sesame chicken was dry and tough. The white rice that came with the duck was fluffy and had a nice taste, the fortune cookies were stale. Hit or miss here. Good the first go around, sad the second. We will have to weigh the options next time. read more

For the record I've had take out from this place many times over 15 years and never had a bad experiences the food was always consistently average. Last night I got the S/S Chicken, general Tso, the chicken was a very odd texture and the breading for the sweet /sour had a dark/black color to it and tasted dry and powdery, it was not edible at all and we had to call to let them know, they where very quick to offer us anything to make up for it, but the damage was done and we were over it. I'm not sure if they have new owners or what but the quality was not what it usually is and I questioned if it was actually chicken with such a tough texture. read more

My office is down the street from this place so I wandered in to this tiny venue and perused a menu. They offer a great selection of Chinese take-out classics, lunch and dinner combos, a tofu/vegetarian section, and dieters menu with steamed options. I opted for a simple sweet & sour lunch combination special ($6) that came with pork fried rice and my choice of pork egg roll or veggie spring roll. I opted for the spring roll & it was good n' crispy, and the fried rice was fluffy n' tasty. The chicken was good n' fried and accompanied by 3 chunks of pineapple and the sweet n' sour sauce came in a separate condiment container. Choices and great combinations, who could ask for better? With a game night at hand, the group of 10 of us had once again decided to do Asian take away me once again go wth China Lui, as his spot did, hit the spot previously. We had meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans and then me, the finicky eater there that night, and everyone was more than satisfied. From beef and broccoli to chicken with cashew, to tofu two different ways, to shrimp with a sauce that was extra tasty, even the white rice had a great taste to me, which is awesome. Chicken Wings: good and crunchy. (12) for a good price. No hair on them LOL Sweet and Sour Chicken: Was fresh and the sauce was OK. Not ketchup tasting thank goodness. Quite a bit. Orange Chicken: Didnt love this. It was too sweet for my liking but portion was good. Krab Ragoon: very small. (See Photo) for the price it isn't good value. I've had much better. Not a lot of Krab in them. Sweet & Sour Soup: Great price, looks good but I'm so full I didn't get to it yet :) Mixed Soup: (Egg Drop mixed with Wonton). My 6 year old son tore it up before I got a chance to taste. Awesome price as well. Special Rice: It was stuffed with shrimp, pork, chicken... It was good. Well, the "new" owners took the BEST thing off the menu!! IMPERIAL SHRIMP! I even wrote an article that was published on the front page of The Sun Sentinel Food Section complete with pic! They change to a new menu. That is good . Their is waiter is very nice . They recommend the chief special for mix vegetable lobster with fried rice , wonton soup (Hong Kong styles ) cheese rangoons . I live up the street from this place and decided to give it a shot. Had low expectations after reading the reviews here but I tried it anyway. Went in for takeout instead of delivery and ordered egg drop soup, kung bao chicken (which is not a typo, according to the lady with the dragon tattoo who works there), fried rice and spring roll. The egg drop soup was as tasty as the one pf changs serves, and everything else tasted good no complaints. They don't really have tables to sit and eat but they do have wifi while you wait which is more than I can say for other places. I give their food 4 stars but due to all the negative reviews I'm putting 5 to balance out all the negativity. I mean it's a chinese takeout place. Settle down. Traveling through; read on another site this was the best Chinese in Ft. Lauderdale (imagine there isn't a huge population of asians here), so thought I'd give it a try. Not the most upscale shopping area, but as soon as I stepped inside and saw their non-professional (i.e. not retouched or stock) photos of all their dishes, I knew I would be able to get some authentic food. Don't get me wrong, they have plenty of the Chinese-American standards like chop-suey, moo goo gai pan, etc., but you'll also see they have some great steamed fish, calamari (squid), awesome fish fillets, etc.. Beef, tomato, and egg dish was excellent tonight. Ma Po Tofu was nicely spicy and vegetarian. Very nice family seems to run it, got a great vibe from them. Will be back next time in town. read more

My girlfriend and I live in Victoria park and were out on a bike ride that extended into rio vista to 17th st. We got hungry and all I had was my phone with a paypal app that showed the restaurants in the area. China Lui came up so we rode our bikes over. The owner seemed to be in a bad mood. We ordered our food and waited. Since we were on the bikes we wanted to eat there. He didn't want us to stay an eat because he said it was close to closing time. Keep in mind it was 8:30 pm. Therefore his attitude sucked, the food was cold and the spring role was partly frozen. So if your closing that early you must not be doing that good of business. I would never go back. read more

Nothing bad, but very mediocre all around. We tried some special lo mein ($9.95), special fried rice ($8.95). Shrimp, chicken, vegetable and pork didn't have much flavor to it. Not much sauce or flavor in the lo mein - very bland. It looked like they added soy sauce to the fried rice already, which was odd. Given that the prices are probably on-par with other americanized Chinese in the area, I'm not sure if I'll go back there again. I've been coming here for I want to say 15 years. Even when I moved to Los Angeles for over a decade, I would dream of the honey garlic chicken and various other menu items. We almost always do pick up and everything is always ready, on time, hot and beautifully displayed. After having just come back, I ordered my usual and was absolutely delighted.
