I've been going to the waugh location for the past few months. I will say, that when I began service here. My lashes did not last a week. I had to go back for touch ups each week. The company explained that this is normal because these are not permanent lashes. I usually get lash extensions from another place and they usually last for at least 3 weeks with minimum fall out. Because of this I don't consistently attend chic lash boutique. In this economy today, if I pay a $150 for lashes. I want them to last at least 2-3 weeks without having to touch them up. My favorite lash artist is Mary, she's kind, and skilled. read more

Traveled from California to Houston for my sister's wedding and my daughter and I needed last minute appointments for eyebrow threading, and eyebrow tinting. Since I am not from the area, my sister made the appointments for my daughter, and I. Upon arrival we were greeted and politely asked to have a seat to wait for the person that would be taking care of us. The gal that took care of us very nice and explained everything step to my daughter, since it was her first time having her eyebrows threaded. We left so happy my eyebrows were perfectly colored and shaped. My daughter has a scar above her right eyebrow and everywhere she goes, she always leaves not liking how her eyebrows were shaped but when we left from this location she was definitely happy. All I can say is when we move back to Houston this will be our go to spot. read more

I was lucky enough to get a last minute appt with Candice who is well skilled, personable and a true artist. I'm very picky when it comes to my hair, eyebrows and lashes. When I find someone I like, I stay with them..for years. I can say Candice has taken the roll of not only doing my eyebrows, but my lashes as well, which I'll update with a picture after I get my lash lift/tint done. I've lost quite a few lashes from extensions and will be doing lifts and growing back as many lashes as I can instead. The place is warm, comfortable and has you trying not fall asleep. Overall it was better than I could of asked for, especially going out on a limb to try someone new and received better results than I could of asked for. I've been here many many times over the years and I am finally fed up with their walk-in policy. I went in today at around 1:20 and asked if there was availability for threading. The front desk girl told me that Arti has a 1:30 threading appointment but could fit me in after that. So I decided to wait. Arti's appointment ran long and she didn't get to her 1:30 until 1:37, then immediately started on what I assume was her 1:45. At around 1:52, I finally had to ask the front desk when she could get to me and the front desk girl said she had to get settled in with her client first but knew I was waiting. I had somewhere to be at 2:00 and without any estimate of how much longer I had to wait, I had to leave. So I ended up waiting 30 minutes for nothing. I'm not sure what the walk-in policy is here but it's a mess. I would have much preferred if the front desk had told me right off the bat there was no availability than just have me wait with no end in sight. I assume she thought Arti could finish her 1:30 fairly quick (threading doesn't usually take a full 15 minutes) and then get to me before her 1:45. And I understand appointments run behind and schedules get thrown off but if Arti or someone had just told me something like "I can you get to you in 5 minutes" or "I can get to you in 10 minutes," I would have been fine. SOME information about timing would have been nice. But Arti walked past me multiple times and didn't provide me with any timing estimate and the front desk didn't know either, which is extremely frustrating. I've also been there before when there have been multiple people waiting for threading. The front desk doesn't take your name and you don't take a number or anything, so a couple times I've walked in, people who arrived after me who didn't have an appointment went before me because either the technician or they got confused who of all the people waiting arrived first. The technicians here are good and if you have an appointment, it shouldn't be an issue. But they either need to stop taking walk-in's or have a much better policy for walk-in's. If they're going to allow walk-in's, then I would expect a much better system than the one they have. And if they are running behind schedule, it'd be nice if they could at least let me know "we're running 5 behind" or "we're running 10 behind" or SOMETHING. It may seem like a minor thing in the grand scheme of their business but it's been frustrating enough to make me never want to come here again, and it also just comes across as bad customer service. read more

She will look at your eyebrow hair and if she feels they are uneven or need to grow out in certain spots, she will tell you. # Amazing and meticulous My technique: After she waxes them, I use a light brown brow powder from Ulta. I saw Theresa for a threading in July after much research regarding eyebrow threaders in my neighborhood. I was new to the city and had not had my eyebrows shaped or cleaned since I moved from D.C. back in January. She was booked for three weeks so I had to wait a decent amount of time for my appointment. Despite the numerous positive experiences from others, I left the establishment with two totally different shaped eyebrows. I ended up having to wait for them to grow back in to be corrected. Finding an experienced eyebrow threader is a serious task because every girl knows that nowadays your eyebrows are everything. I have thin eyebrows so I don't have much hair on my eyebrows but I just like to come and get them touched up. You can either make an appointment or you can walk in but I like to make an appointment with Arti who does a superb job. Sometimes if she isn't available I'll settle with someone else. I can't remember who I got last time but she didn't do that great of a job like Arti. Arti does a fabulous job. She doesn't leave extra strands and she just cleans your eyebrows up where they look natural. Price: $15 Parking: It can get tight and packed real fast but they have a couple of open spots just for Chic Lash. Theresa is very professional in what she does, she has a sweet, gentle manner and she works with you on sculpting your eyebrows evenly. I've been coming here for years! I've received microshading, threading, and extensions. The last time i got microshaded was with Theresa in 2020. She squeezed me in right before the pandemic hit and my brows have lasted ever since! I get threaded by Candice and Andrea and extensions by Vicky and Aidai. UPDATE After posting this review I received multiple emails from people working at the company and was being harassed. I changed my name on here to prevent that from happening. It's really creepy considering I didn't have that information available to businesses on yelp. Thank you Jennifer for showing how unprofessional you and your business truly is. Something must have been retrograding for your staff and yourself. Yes 2 months is a long time but that's how long my lashes were messed up for so I submitted it anyway. Didn't realize there was a statute of limitations on reviews. I highly recommend teaching your artists how to properly do a consultation, listen to the clients to what they ask, and taking some professional business courses. For everyone else, save your money and go somewhere where you won't have to deal with unprofessional service and having part of your face messed up for 2 months. DO NOT GO HERE FOR A BROW LAMINATION unless you want dark square block eyebrows from 2014, no matter what your hair color is. Firstly the lady that threaded my brows started the threading process before even asking me what I wanted. I stopped and explained nicely that I just wanted the edges cleaned up a bit and no changes to the arch. I came out with thin af brows and a high arch. Ridiculous. For the lamination, I said I wanted the most natural look with the eyebrows going up at an angle, not sticking straight up, in the LIGHTEST color possible to match my hair and not look like sharpie. I double checked that this could be done and she said yes. I guess it was opposites day bc I came out with my brows sticking straight up in a square shape and literally black. For my lash lift, one eye came out fine but the other one came out with the lashes bent at weird angles and crooked. I also asked for a lift without too much of a curl but the lashes are literally bending backwards and it looks like I have short stubby lashes. I had to go home and scrub the crap out of my brows for them to look normal for my friends wedding. It's been 2 months and the lashes on that eye are still crooked and bent weird so they look ugly when I wear mascara. Idk what these people are smoking but save your money and go somewhere else. The front lady is also rude as hell and sits on her phone instead of acknowledging you so you have to stand there until she's done texting. read more
