UPDATE After posting this review I received multiple emails from people working at the company and was being harassed. I changed my name on here to prevent that from happening. It's really creepy considering I didn't have that information available to businesses on yelp. Thank you Jennifer for showing how unprofessional you and your business truly is. Something must have been retrograding for your staff and yourself. Yes 2 months is a long time but that's how long my lashes were messed up for so I submitted it anyway. Didn't realize there was a statute of limitations on reviews. I highly recommend teaching your artists how to properly do a consultation, listen to the clients to what they ask, and taking some professional business courses. For everyone else, save your money and go somewhere where you won't have to deal with unprofessional service and having part of your face messed up for 2 months. DO NOT GO HERE FOR A BROW LAMINATION unless you want dark square block eyebrows from 2014, no matter what your hair color is. Firstly the lady that threaded my brows started the threading process before even asking me what I wanted. I stopped and explained nicely that I just wanted the edges cleaned up a bit and no changes to the arch. I came out with thin af brows and a high arch. Ridiculous. For the lamination, I said I wanted the most natural look with the eyebrows going up at an angle, not sticking straight up, in the LIGHTEST color possible to match my hair and not look like sharpie. I double checked that this could be done and she said yes. I guess it was opposites day bc I came out with my brows sticking straight up in a square shape and literally black. For my lash lift, one eye came out fine but the other one came out with the lashes bent at weird angles and crooked. I also asked for a lift without too much of a curl but the lashes are literally bending backwards and it looks like I have short stubby lashes. I had to go home and scrub the crap out of my brows for them to look normal for my friends wedding. It's been 2 months and the lashes on that eye are still crooked and bent weird so they look ugly when I wear mascara. Idk what these people are smoking but save your money and go somewhere else. The front lady is also rude as hell and sits on her phone instead of acknowledging you so you have to stand there until she's done texting. read more

This is my first time getting an eyebrow tint. Normally I have very light, sparse looking eyebrows so I'm BEYOND happy with the results. The girl who did my service was so sweet and gentle with me. I laid on a comfy bed with neck pillow during the process and was put at ease with soothing music and serene decor. I did experience a little bit of burning at the end when she was wiping off the dye, but nothing major. She used a mini fan to cool down my eyes when I said I was feeling some sensitivity. I've had facials, massages, manis, pedis, expensive hair cuts, teeth whitening and probably a few other cosmetic services, and I can honestly say that for the price ($15) and for the time (15-20 minutes) and for the results achieved, that this is the best beauty service I have ever invested in. Chic? More like fleek. Eyebrows on fleek that is. Thanks to Arti, my eyebrows are FINALLY the shape I've always wanted. I tried to make an appointment on Saturday with another very popular brow threader via their online scheduler (http://www.genbook.com/bookings/slot/reservation/30188902). Due to her overwhelming popularity, she wasn't available until Wednesday. Arti had a lot of open slots, so I decided to try my luck. The place is sleek, modern, and dark in a sort of calming way. Arti was very accommodating. I showed her a picture of myself, fully made up with heavily penciled brows. I was reluctant to ask if the shape was doable, because my previous brow threader had completely shot me down. Arti thought for a second, and responded very positively, "Yes. We can do this." The threading was just a tad more painful than I was used to, but beauty is pain, and results don't lie. We chatted for a bit, and I didn't feel at all awkward with her. I passively mentioned my sensitive skin; she took this into account and skipped putting any cream on the freshly threaded areas. I didn't mention the other threader I tried to book because she's already saturated the Yelp reviews. After dozens of failed brow shapes, Arti proves to be a great talent. No more lopsided brows. I went to Chic Lash for a simple eyebrow tint and came out with a horribly dark stain for my coloring. When I called to see if something could be done to tone down the color, I was told the technicia used the lightest color she had. A young, blonde woman went in after me and I suspect she did not have the same experience. If you are blonde, grey or light brown do not trust that you will receive an appropriate color. While the young girl was masked, she told me she is unvaccinated which I find disturbing. Go at your own risk. read more

Firstly the ambiance is amazing, you feel like a star from the second you walk in with yummy drinks and treats and gorgeous walls and decor. It almost feels like you are hanging out with a group of girlfriends in a lush spa. I have had my brows threaded from the age of 12 by various Indian Salons and have never strayed until now...Theresa is a genius and threaded them beautifully with little pain! She works quickly and asks you how you like them before she does them which is awesome! I also had a lash lift done here and it was probably my favorite thing ever. I am definitely adding it into the beauty rotation because the difference it makes is awesome. I am a big scuba diver and I have some awesome pictures of my long curled lashes you can even see through my mask :) The only con is that I have to drive from Austin for this place, so, open one in Austin! EDIT: updating my review because I am very pleased with the managers response. Jennifer was quick to respond and address my concerns and work with me to a achieve a resolution. She recommended another artist & I am very satisfied with her work! Not the worst...but could improve. I am new to the area and chose to come here after reading good reviews...but all reviews are very old. I would recommend Chic lash for anything brow related...but my lash extension experience here has been very inconsistent. First, it seems like they have a high turnover rate. Part of the lash extension experience is building a bond with your tech so they can get to know your lashes and build the best look for you. I've had one artist that I loved, but she wasn't there very long. Second, the techs need more flexibility with their scheduling. A 50 minute slot is not enough time for a lot of techs, thus some of the work feels rushed or like the bare minimum. The ideal time slot for lash fills should be 75 minutes. Third, I've had lash extensions for 3 years. I know my lashes and their typical retention. I also take good care of them. My lashes look good at the end of my fills, but seem to be sparse after 1 week, which is not normal. I have typically been able to go three weeks before a fill. I think these quality issues could be fixed if the techs had more time. Lastly, lashes are an investment, and I don't mind spending money on them. $75-$95 fills for basic work is pricy though. I REALLY enjoyed my recent visit to Chic Lash Boutique! The boutique was beautifully decorated with friendly employees and relaxing music, which is important when you spend so much time during the process of getting lash extensions. I was offered water and was thoroughly briefed on the process before starting, which put me at ease. While waiting for the preparations, I was offered a beverage and an eyebrow threading, which was FANTASTIC. I'll never wax again! Onto the eyelashes, I LOVE them! It took a few hours to apply (I have a lot of really long lashes) but the music was nice and the bed was comfortable and the conversation was fun, so time flew by. The end product was breathtaking! I came in and the receptionist was so nice! She greeted me and got me checked in and I waited for only a few minutes when they took me to get my lashes done! The facility is extremely clean and it felt very luxurious. They took care of my lashes with the highest of quality and highest attention of detail. I really like they way they came out. This is the first time I've ever gotten a Groupon for a place that has actually been AMAZING! I will never get my brows threaded anywhere else again. Super cute and stylish inside, and really comfortable/soothing inside. The owner is a really nice lady who actually has done my brows twice. She does a great job of shaping to make your brows look natural. $15 for eyebrow threading is actually a great deal when you consider that they do not require you to tip. Their website says: "We appreciate your patronage, therefore tips are not necessary. All Lash Artists are paid a living wage and do not rely on tips." I went in for Chic Lash Boutique for eyebrow and eyelash tints. The boutique is charming, the wait was not long, and the service was good. I was pleased with the outcome of both of the tints. My only real complaint is that there are extremely bright lights above the private rooms where they do the tinting and eyelashes, and they caused by eyes to tear up throughout the tinting, which made the process more uncomfortable. They have a bright light next to the beds in the rooms I wish they used that instead of relying on super bright recessed lighting the ceiling. read more

I bought a Groupon for 3 brow threads for $15. Whatta deal! A friend had me going to Apsara by the Galleria for a bit but the charged like $25 for shaping and I was never really pleased with the look of my brows. I've been looking at some other places that charge about $40, but just couldn't pull the trigger with a price that high. I saw the Groupon, saw the reviews of Chic Lash Boutique on Yelp, and then I got excited. I went last week for the first thread. I have full brows and pluck them on my own. I have no idea what I'm doing so 1/2 the time they look awesome and the other 1/2 of the time they look like a hot mess. I slapped my hands for a few weeks every time I reached for the tweezers and went in there with a pretty full on natural brow. The brow tech complimented me on my nice full brows and asked what I was going for. I told her I wanted them shaped and would like some semblance of an arch. She said she'd do some subtle shaping and then show me and we'd go from there. So she did her damn thing and after a few minutes told me she thought they looked good and showed me. I was expecting a lot more shaping to the brows but agreed they looked good. After I got home I kept looking at them and thinking she could have done more shaping....but then the next day when I was getting ready for work I had a little aha moment when I was brushing my brows into place and was like 'Wow, these look really polished...but natural.' In my head, I think I should have Kim Kardashian's eyebrow shape...but in reality, that would look bad on me lol! The only reason I gave it 4 vs. 5 stars was that I had a good amount of single hairs that were missed. She never got out the tweezers to clean up the stragglers, nor did she trim the top of my brows to even everything out. I've had ppl do that before, and I tend to think it just finished off the look. Oh, I tried to tip her $5 on my way out and she told me tips were not accepted there. Very well then! No complaints from me about that lol! Even after my Groupon runs out, I'll return to this place when I'm in need of reshaping in between normal tweezing. read more

I can't believe I've lived next door to Chic Lash for so long and just found out that they thread eyebrows! Why have I been driving out to Hillcroft or Westheimer this whole time?!? I walked in at lunch today without an appointment and the girl behind the desk helped me immediately. $15 isn't cheap compared to $7 at Aisha's and $5 at Ruby's, but the convenience makes it so completely worth it. I've been searching for a place to take my virgin thread brows, and after some serious research on Yelp, Google, and word of mouth, I ended up at Chic Lash Boutique. I booked an appointment for the same day and called to confirm my appointment. After reading reviews, I decided to go with Arti who seemed to be the it girl for threading. When I arrived, there were about 3 girls sitting down waiting and I was told to sit and wait. I couldn't believe how dang fast this process was- one girl would sit for about 2 minutes, onto the next. I was a little confused because they didn't seem to ask if you had an appointment, and I had to get up and ask if I would have to continue waiting or if they were seeing everyone in order. I asked if most people just walk in and was told yes, so definitely know that before rushing over here. The wait couldn't be faster though! It's so quick that the "pain" doesn't even matter. Just a little uncomfortable near the eyelid, but Arti really did a great job of being quick and efficient. My eyebrows were barely red, looked clean and groomed, and it's only $15. I'll definitely be back every 2 weeks to keep up the brows, and I'm tempted to try some of their other services here as well! read more

I was referred here by a friend and she highly recommended Arti for threading. I have been going to a place near my house, not really asking for anything other than cleaning up my brows and threading my upper lip. Not that they ever did a bad job, but after meeting Arti, I now realize the importance of how eyebrows shape can make a difference in my appearance. When I first sat down in her chair and gave her the same speech I say every time I get threaded, "I would like to clean up my eye brows and thread my upper lip." Arti not only listened to what I had to say, but she talked to me about my current eyebrows shape and offered advice and tips on how to re-shape my brows and how to maintain my shape in between visits. She was so helpful and I didn't even know that it was such a thing. I usually plop myself in the chair and let them go at my face. Now I feel "proud" of my eyebrows when before, I always felt like my eyebrows were just "there" with not much significance. Also, my eyes usually get teary when I get threaded, but not with Arti. She is very gentle. Pricing is about $26 before tip, which is slightly more than what I used to pay, but I think it's absolutely worth it. Parking can be a bit stressful, but they do have designated parking spots for Chic Lash clients, so keep an eye out. read more

Came here on a whim (per Yelp suggestions) and they didn't disappoint. Decor was uber cute & pleasant staff made for a great first impression. I explained to the girl that my previous eyebrow place hasn't been as precise with their work as they once were. I like my eyebrows full, clean lines & a subtle arch. Lately they had their arch, but were looking real bushy around the edges & I was starting to hate them. This was my first eyebrow threading experience. From the start, Chic Lash Boutique really came through. Here are things I loved: 1. Making reservations online - awesome option and super easy. 2. I got there a few minutes early and was greeted by name. 3. The salon is gorgeous and welcoming. 4. No wait time. 5. Theresa threaded my brows and she was wonderful. Explaining the process to me and making sure I was comfortable. The chair I sat on was pretty relaxing, too. 6. Pain was minimal. I credit Theresa for that since she really knows her craft. The threading area was towards the back of the room, at the end of the waiting area. There was no one waiting so my experience was private. If you are not comfortable with being in the open for people to watch you get threaded, you may want to ask if a private setting is available. I plan to continue getting my brows threaded. I came here to try the eyebrow threading. I've had various levels of success with eyebrow threaders and have only met two I like. One is in Memorial city Mall and it's hard to find time with her at times. The other one lives in NYC so yeah, I can't get back there as soon as possible. So I made an online appt and came to see Theresa. All I needed was getting them cleaned and pretty. She did a good job and kept asking me if I liked them during the process. Price as good but since there really was no shaping done, just clean up so I don't think it was worth it. I'm sure she's amazing at doing shaping but I didn't partake of her amazing skills. Update: I've received emails and a call from the manager to address my recent experience and I had to say they were very nice and professional about it. They let me know they will work with their technicians on improving the aspects that I had concerns with and that they want to make sure their clients are always comfortable. I am happy that they reached out so quickly, it shows they do care about their clients.. because of this, I'm going to give them a better star rating. I do understand that it won't always be perfect, but unfortunately, people are usually more inclined to leave a review for negative experiences. Im definitely going back because I love specific technicians there, I'll just make sure to book a little more in advance for them. I've been going to Chic Lash Boutique for years, since they opened this location. Since then, I've tried each of their other locations. Let me start by saying that I have always recommended this company because I thought their service was quality. I'm a true believer of you get what you pay for. Although they have pretty high pricing relative to other places that provide the same services, you can see the quality in their work and rarely any mistakes! I'm also keen on supporting small businesses. Okay, so here is why I gave them a 3 star instead of 5.. taking all of what I said into consideration, I had to be fair. I recently visited and had Audrey as my technician. She was friendly, but I felt like she's really not passionate about what she does. At least that is how it came off to me. A few things that bothered me was that she used a lamp to shine on me to see better. I don't mind that, except that it seemed to have brand new ultra light bulbs so I felt like I couldn't keep from squinting while my eyes were closed.. she put the fan to dry the glue too close to my face so I was getting anxious. My top lashes were stuck to the bottom lashes so she had to take them apart. But the main reason I am here to put a negative-ish review is because my lashes are sore and have been for the last week. It feels like she didn't separate my lashes after applying them, so maybe she has 1 synthetic lash applied to 2 natural lashes? I'm not sure but I've had my lashes done so many times and it sure does feel that way. This is a huge no no for me. The technician should check for this and separate the lashes before she lets her client go.. I'm constantly brushing my lashes to relieve he soreness and because of this the lashes are falling out faster. Chic Lash Boutique really had such good service before they expanded. It seems like they are becoming more lax as they grow.. if you want to go to a good technician, you should got to Keyvon or Sydney. Both are very meticulous and care about what you ask for. Theresa knows what she's doing when it comes to eye brows! I will definitely return for maintenance. For my first visit I requested she reshape them- I was tried of the shape of them and felt like I needed something more in style. She did an awesome job of giving my brows an updated look and I couldn't be happier or more impressed. At the end she asked if I wanted witch hazel, I hadn't experienced that before and she could tell I was like, "huh?" so she said it helps with the stinging and she was right again- as soon as the cotton ball soaked with witch hazel glided across my freshly threaded eye brows they were instantly soothed!
