Love love love this place! Please continue to support this local business! You will not regret it :) The chicken is always so flavorful and delicious and my go to spot for hainan chicken. The service is always superb and I love that they remember me and greet me by my name. The guy who always hands me my to go order (assuming he is the owner) is super kind. I always ask for extra cucumbers and they package it nicely for me. Very reasonable pricing and generous portions!

Take out only spot. Very standard Hainan. All dark meat which I prefer. If you're craving it, come here. Didn't blow me away though but very good and you get what you expect. Give you lots of rice too which I appreciated. The chicken soup is very chicken flavor forward (good thing)

One of the best Hainan Chicken Rice In OC. The rice is aromatic, cooked in chicken broth, ginger , nicely seasoned. They give you plenty of deboned chicken meat, it is cooked to perfection as you can see in the picture ( no filter needed). I love the three sauce containers that comes along. Overall 5/5 for the convenience, portion and the freshness of food. Note: you can order online on their website, or come to order in person at a kiosks.

The best Hainan chicken spot in OC, the owner is very polite and service is AMAZING !! They also have a second location in Stanton. Every time i crave Hainan chicken, i always visit Chic, their food is always fresh and tastes great !! Price is decent and you can purchase additional sauces on the side if you want more. This is a take out place so there is no dine in.

Pretty good hainan chicken. My mother in law was the one who found this place online. She was a bit disappointed to note it was take out only. I really enjoyed my food though! Good price point for the serving and they do have tables and chairs outside to seat and eat your to go boxes. My toddler loved watching the planes pass by.

Delicious classic Hainan Chicken. Comes with three sauces and some cucumber. Very simple dish but delicious dish! My coworkers and I do a lunch club on Friday and try to see what's the best restaurants in the area are. This is definitely one of our favorites! This place is a ghost kitchen connected with other restaurants so the parking isn't that great but we still go here all the time!!

Portuguese egg tarts - hard pass!

Wasn't expecting this to be a "ghost kitchen" with a bunch of other restaurants (I believe 8-12 total based on the monitors). The food was pretty good and the service was top-notch! The signature Hainan chicken rice was pretty solid with generous portions, tender chicken, and tasty sauces. Also comes with chicken broth on the side. We also got the Portuguese egg tarts and these were not good. Very similar to the frozen ones from Costco, maybe worse haha. Lacked flavor and the texture wasn't very crispy/flaky either. Definitely recommend skipping. The service was above and beyond, and super friendly. After placing our pickup order on the website, I realized that Square checkout defaulted to my company credit card and not my personal card. I called them and they told me to place a new order and they will happily refund the previous one, but I wasn't able to because it was already too close to closing time. I called them back and asked if I can pay in person when I'm there and they said yes. The whole process was super smooth when I arrived in-person and they were super friendly and happy to help!

I once again ordered the Hainan Chicken Rice from Chic Now through DoorDash. I opted for skinless chicken this time. I also opted to pick up the order as it was near my office. Since it's located at a ghost kitchen, the pickup was a little confusing. Normally, you pick up at the back with the rest of the delivery drivers but ChicNow utilizes the front door as pick up. Strangely enough, the app updated as I was letting them know I was close to the location and said 'order picked up', which was impossible as I had not gotten my food yet. However, as I went inside the front, my order was sitting on the shelf to the left of the register with my name on it. I guess I should have come a little earlier but I got my food and all was well. The chicken was moist and the sauces were delicious with the meal. I love every sauce and just poured it over everything for maximum flavor! I just wish it came with more cucumber as the meal was quite hearty. I did not finish in one sitting but took some home as leftovers. This is a consistently great chicken & rice spot. Do not sleep on it!

This restaurant actually shares a store with a bunch of other resturants all in the back. So it's a to-go spot only, but there is some bench seating outside where you can watch the planes land at nearby JWA. You can order on the spot but I would recommend ordering ahead online as you'll be picking up anyways. I ordered the original Hainan chicken and on first glance, it may not seem like a large portion, but I was comfortably full afterwards. The chicken itself is very delicious and tender and the sauces (specifically the ginger scallion) adds an extra bit of zing to it. Round it out with the provided broth and you're looking at an all around comfort meal.

I ordered a few items thru Uber Eats. The Hainan Chicken rice was delicious and satisfied my craving. It was tender and not dry and savory enough that I forgot there were sauces. I do enjoy the yellowish green sauce. I am not sure what it is, I think it has a slight hint of ginger, garlic and onions. It also came with a side of broth. I also ordered extra chicken rice but the entree was a good enough portion as it turned out. The photo of the New Orleans Roasted wings looked good enough for me to order. It is not as flavorful as I expected. I guess I thought it would have Cajun seasonings. It's moist and well-cooked, just not the flavor I expected. I also ordered the Portuguese egg tarts. It had a unique taste, not sure if it's completely made of eggs, it tasted possibly of vanilla. For egg tarts, Paderia is better, but for the price, it's not bad, since it comes with a minimum of 2. I would recommend this place for the Hainan Chicken rice!

I used to order from Chic Now almost weekly for about a year, but I stopped this month. I always ordered the Hainan chicken set, and I recently was extremely disappointed to discover that the chicken was not fully cooked. Since I ordered through DoorDash, I had to file the complaint with them instead. This experience has made me hesitant to order again, as food poisoning is a serious concern. Management should seriously review and improve their quality control.

Delicious hainan chicken! I'm so glad Rodeo has a good hainan chicken spot. The chicken is so moist, the rice is cooked to perfection and the ginger sauce goes very well with each bite. I got the GGG and so happy I did. The sugarcane drink that comes wirh this combo tasted pure and fresh and for a few dollars more it was totally worth it.. I'm telling everyone about this spot!

Maxwell does not disappoint --- their garlic ginger sauce is reall good. The rice is also pretty good, just the right amount of chicken flavor without being too salty. I've also tried the fried chicken, and the skin is super crispy and delicious. Pretty unexpected to find good fried chicken at a Hainan chicken place, but it's a nice surprise. You can add a piece of fried chicken to the Hainan chicken plate, which is what I'd recommend. Looks like a lot of people get takeout from here. There are only two tables inside with a few tables outside. Service is friendly and fairly quick. This is definitely my go-to place for Hainan chicken, and I will be back!

They take your order, smile, and suddenly food appears so quickly you start checking your surroundings like, "Did I black out? Did I time travel?" They're friendly, but also have that vibe of "We know you're about to lose your mind over this chicken." This place is clean, simple, casual, the kind of place where you can comfortably eat like a panda bear and no one judges you. It's tucked in a strip mall, but honestly? That just adds to the love of trying new spots. It's tradition in my book! This is where the chaos begins. * Hainan Chicken Rice, so delicious and soft, silky chicken that tastes like it was raised on affirmations and spa treatments. The rice is so fragrant it should have its own cologne. The sauces? Boy-o-boy they don't just complement the dish, they unlock it like DLC. * Fried Chicken, so crunchy enough to be legally classified as a percussion instrument. Juicy enough to make you question whether you've ever truly lived. Every bite is like a roundhouse kick from a crispy angel. * Pork Bowl, this bowl pulled me aside mid‑meal and said, "You good?" because the flavor hit so hard I had to sit with myself. Savory, saucy, comforting, like a weighted blanket but edible. * Garlic Noodles, absolutely wow, these noodles are dangerous. They're buttery, garlicky, and so slurpable you'll accidentally audition for a noodle‑eating ASMR channel. I swear they whispered "come back soon" as I finished them. Maxwell Chicken Rice is the strip‑mall legend you didn't know you needed. The service is fast, the dining room is clean, and the food is so good it feels illegal. If you don't get the Hainan chicken and the fried chicken, that's a personal failure. If you don't get the garlic noodles, that's a moral failure. "Enjoying life one bite at a time! " Miguel C.

Recently, I've learned that they have relocated to 4th Street Market (4SM), which is about a 15 minute walk from the courts. This is a good move as the new location allows for more visibility and plenty of seating within 4SM. Food/Drinks: Hainan Chicken Rice - this entree is just as good as it was four years ago, but instead of pickled veggies, they have now substituted it with fresh cucumbers. Definitely recommend. Crispy Chicken Salad - wanted some greens, but can't recall this entree being all that memorable. Larb Crispy Chicken Rice - wow! For those craving more spice and flavor, this is the one to order. Would highly recommend for those wanting more umami and texture. Thaiger Milk Tea - I liked the play on words here and also they used to offer a small and large size. I definitely recalled this being extremely sweet. I guess there's a reason this is no longer on the menu. They now offer a rewards program supported by Toast, so returning customers can earn one point for each dollar spent. While I never thought Capital Noodle Bar was the best noodle joint that you could find in/around Irvine, this place was always so tasty and convenient! Even though they weren't our favorite place, the times we stopped by Capital Noodle Bar was usually on our way to/from the airport for a quick bite. Not only was the restaurant large (snagging a table was never an issue), but our food (typically) came out relatively quick. In addition, their menu was stocked with so many delicious options. It felt a little more Malaysian than Chinese to me, but, regardless, their collection of appetizers, dim sum items, congee, noodle soups, stir fried noodles, entrees, fried rice, and rice plates was so enticing, we couldn't help but come back to try more and more! -- HOT SAUCE TRAY I know it's kind of weird to mention this, but I love their dish of hot sauces. In particular, their jalapenos and chili oil go well with everything we've had here. -- CRISPY TOFU This may not have looked quite like what I had expected, but this was pretty good! The tofu was pillowy soft and piping hot while the outside of it was surprisingly crispy, given how it's not really battered. -- WONTON NOODLE SOUP - Pork & Shrimp Wonton, Egg Noodles We got this as part of their weekday special ($12 all-day, dine-in only), so I'm not sure if the portion size is any different. Either way, this was great. The wonton skins were a little thin, but each piece was plump and juicy, the noodles had a nice bite, and the broth was solid. -- CHAR KWAY TEOW - Shrimp, Chinese Sausage, Bean Sprouts, Egg, and Large Rice Noodles I've been on a bit of a kick ordering this whenever I see it and this was one of the better ones. The noodles were cooked really well (very bouncy), the dish had a slight kick yet it wasn't overly salty/seasoned, and the dish wasn't overloaded with beansprouts. -- SPICY GARLIC CALAMARI Ehh...this wasn't "bad", but it was definitely underwhelming. Although these were seasoned well and had a nice crispiness, the calamari itself was chewy and reminded me of the generic type you get at most other Chinese restaurants. -- TRIO OF BEEF NOODLE SOUP - Sliced Tenderloin, Beef Ball, Beef Stew (Beef Shank, Tripe, Tendon, Carrot), and Egg Noodles I was super hopeful for this one, but it turned out to be just okay. For me, the ingredients tasted fine, but the portion seemed a little light on the beef shank and the broth needed a bit more body to it (felt a little thin). -- CRISPY HAINAN CHICKEN - Deep Fried Dark Meat, Pickled Vegetables, Ginger Rice, Soy Sauce, Ginger, and Chili Sauce Not very traditional, but no less delicious. Boneless Hainan Chicken is appealing enough, but fried, too? While I wish there had been more of it, each piece was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The ginger rice was quite tasty as well! -- WAGYU BEEF POSTICKERS Pretty standard, though, not necessarily in a bad way. Although there wasn't much of a browned bottom/crust on these, I love how big and plump these were and how the filling had a nice, beefy flavor to it. -- HONG KONG STYLE CHOW FUN WITH CHICKEN, Seasonal Greens, Carrot, Mushroom, Egg, Gravy Sauce, and Large Rice Noodles This was just okay for me. The dish had a good ratio of vegetables and meats to noodles, but the gravy didn't do much for me - there was so much of it, it felt more distracting than additive. -- MANGO GREEN TEA Surprisingly, this wasn't nearly as sweet as I feared it would be. The mango flavor in this wasn't super intense and went well with the green tea. Along with how satisfying most of Capital's dishes have been, the other thing that I liked about this place was the staff. Every time we came here, the workers were always friendly and really attentive, even despite how they usually only had one server working. That being said, it has never been all that busy either, which might help explain why their closure. As genuinely bummed as I am to learn that this place has closed, it should be said that it's not like Capital Noodle Bar is gone forever. If you missed your chance to try them, or just want to eat here again, they have another location in Costa Mesa that's still open and just a short drive away. And, as it turns out, it's even closer to the airport, so our pseudo-ritual of stopping off can continue to live on. Thanks for the memories, Irvine Capital Noodle Bar!
