I've had this place on my "must try" list for some time, so I made a point to start knocking things off that list and here I am! Maxwell Chicken Rice is located in a shared parking lot but it is tiny and easy to miss if you are on the main street. It is next to the animal hospital! Once I found it, I headed in and was immediately greeted by the employee working there. He seemed to be alone, but it is a small place and wasn't busy. Inside is very small, just a few tables for 2 inside, but there is a little dining area outside as well. I ordered the chicken rice plate, which comes with the chicken, rice, broth, 3 sauces, and cucumbers. The food was good; served warm and fresh, and the broth was nice and hot! The employee recommended mixing all 3 sauces together (a spicy sauce, soy sauce, and a ginger sauce). I didn't combine everything but I did try all 3 together and it was good! The spicy sauce REALLY has a kick to it, so be warned if you don't handle spice well! Something to note is that they have a $1 dine in discount. I was ordering takeout so I did not get the discount, but maybe next time I will eat there! Chicken is juicy and flavorful. The rice looks plain but is flavored with the chicken broth!
