Well, they are quite pricy but we liked the furniture and got fooled by their assurance about the quality. 2-3 months later we noticed the fabric was getting a lot of lint and falling apart, which wasn't supposed to happen to a $5000 couch. When we called, they gave us a run around and eventually acknowledged that the material was defective. It took them another couple months to replace the couch. The new couch was apparently fine but within a few months the stitching became loose. When we called the, they gave us a run around and nothing happened. Eventually we sopped chasing them because there are better things to do in life. What a waste of money. A TOTAL DISAPPOITMENT!!! We should have read the reviews first to know it's juts a rip off with no concept of customer service.

We were greeted by a friendly associate who promised to assist us with the design of our new home. She convinced us to purchase the comfort club membership which would allow us to receive said services. The design associate had visited our home to help with our design. We purchased several items she recommended. She stated she would be putting together a mood board, assisting us with lighting choices, as well as connecting us with various professionals to help us accomplish our goals. Fast forward a month, crickets. She doesn't respond to text messages. She doesn't respond to emails. She doesn't respond to calls. We have reached out to the store in Chicago on several occasions and nothing. No returned calls, Nothing. Apparently, once you spend some money in this store that is as far as the relationship goes. Once they have your money, good luck getting any help from these people. This has been a terrible experience and we will make sure all of our friends/family know to steer clear of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.

As they replaced old doors with broken wheels from another company, they took so much time and care to get everything right--patiently testing multiple combinations of track and wheel options while including me in the process and explaining things clearly. We were all incredibly collaborative and patient and Jakey cinched it with an idea that truly paid off! I completely agree that going forward with new doors was the right decision. They look beautiful, roll smoothly, and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. The service was exceptional from start to finish. I thanked the guys several times and tried to show my appreciation with treats and tips (though one would not accept). They were such a pleasure to work with on this complicated job: efficient, tidy, respectful, cooperative, and very mindful of my home and furnishings. They really knocked it out of the park. Please know how much I appreciate your giving the green light on this project. After navigating many challenges, It ended up being a total success--and I think the team learned a lot in the process, too, given the creativity and analysis it required. Tim also reassured me that if anything comes loose or needs adjusting, he's only a phone call away, which gives me great peace of mind. He's not only a perfectionist in his craft but such a thoughtful, kind person and a wonderful representative of your company. You've truly assembled an excellent team from TJ and Karen to Tim, Jonathan, Chuy and Jakey--all so professional, conscientious, skilled, and committed to doing things right. Thanks again for all of your help and for seeing this through. I'm thrilled with the final result and wish you much continued success!

I checked a few hair salons close by, they didn't have it. I was pretty much SOL. I had totally forgot to pack mine and really needed to wash my hair and refuse to use any shampoo because I had just got my hair done and colored. You have to treat your hair right! I was at Lululemon and out of desperation asked the cashier if he knew of anyplace that sells travel size Oribe or R+co. The other employee heard and she was my savior....she told me about Bravco and that I will find everything that I need. She was not lying. Bravco doesn't look like much from the outside, you might even question it before entering because it's located under a staircase and looks more like a convenience store than anything else. I walked in, right away was greeted by a warm fireplace and the man up front. I was immediately taken aback by all the products I'm familiar with and went straight to looking for the travel stuff. Located in the very back of the store, you see a wall with the banner "Small world" - there, neatly lined up on the shelves, you can find brands from Oribe to R+Co, Living Proof, WOW and more. This totally made my day and saved me. Thank you Lululemon employee for telling me about this place!!! If you ever forger your shampoo and cond when traveling to Chicago, don't panic, just come to Bravco!

The female sales associate was less than friendly. Didn't seem excited or cared that I saw their business on social media and drove 4 hours to see it. The other guy was helpful though. I was expecting ALL travel sizes though, not regular sizes too. That's fine. It was fun to look at. I felt obligated to purchase something. I felt like it was really overpriced though. A travel sized bottle of Kérastase for $20.99? No thanks! I'll buy the full size from the company and get that for free. Also, the store is very, very, small. It was nice to see it, but I highly doubt I'd ever go back.

After traipsing through a million Chicago bike shops, my quest for the best ultimately led me to my local Trek dealer, Village Cycle Center - and their remarkably patient salesperson named Pierce (no relation to Pierce Brosnan... or so he says). Pierce answered all my annoying questions, after which he asked me several of his (they were not annoying). He then put me on a bike and measured me against various bike angles, before walking me through my various road bike options. No other salesperson spent as much time with me and no other bike shop made me feel so confident in my choice as Village Cycle. Bottom line: I bought a Trek Domane. And I love it.

It was our first home renovation project, and we did not know how to go about the process. We first went to a big chain hardware store to get some guidance, but found them to be unclear and Not personable. But then we luckily found Habitar Design and Strategem Construction, and the difference was like night and day! From the very beginning, Mitch and the Habitar's team really took the time to listen to us, and made us feel heard and understood. We actually began our project way back in January, but when the pandemic began, our plans were understandably put on hold. However, Habitar was just stellar at communication overall - especially during the early months of the pandemic, when everything was so confusing for all of us. We never felt out of the loop with Habitar. The design process was thorough, and they explained everything in as much detail as we cared to hear. We fully understood the cost of all of our options, and so we didn't have any nasty surprises at the end. It was really nice to not worry about potential cost overruns through the job. We explained to them that we wanted to try and stick to our estimated cost as closely as possible in order to stick to our budget. However, like with any project, things happen, and sometimes the estimate is exactly that....an estimate! After expressing our concerns, and knowing that we were on a budget, Mitch and his team intervened to make sure that we all arrived to an agreeable situation. The Strategem construction team was professional, courteous, and respectful in every interaction we had. And while they were working in our home, we didn't even feel inconvenienced - they made as minimal an intrusion as possible. Any problems that came up were quickly resolved, and the whole team worked to find solutions. The whole process felt extremely personal - the owner, Mitch, even came out to see the job, and left us a small gift as a thank-you for our business! We would whole-heartedly recommend Habitar and Strategem to anyone who needs renovation work. If or when we ever have more renovation projects, we look forward to working with them in the future!

What a really cool experience!…read more Private session for my friend and I to create and customize a scented soy candle. Personalized attention, great explanations and assistance. After measuring and mixing we picked the perfect vessel for our candle to solidify and were handed a label to name it. We were also signed up for the perfume class. There were fifteen of us present, good energy, nice vibe. It was like a science lab of scents and we worked our magic. We were instructed to choose up to six oils to mix into a beaker. We played around with the scents until it smelled like something we wanted to wear. We were directed to shelves of pretty perfume bottles; some included with the price of the class and upgrades that were not. My pretty pink bottle was an upgrade. When we received our perfumer's alcohol, we poured into our bottles, gave a little shake and came up with a clever name for our signature scent. I was really hoping the owner would pop in. It's good to know that we can refill each perfume bottle and candle jar at a discounted price. I named my candle "Priceless" because the combined scents remind me of my travel experiences. My chosen name for my perfume is "Journey" because that's exactly where each note takes you.
