I GOT TO MAKE MY OWN CANDLE!!! They have a candle making experience right in the downtown Chicago area on the Mag Mile! I got my ticket for the class through the Fever app and loooovvveeeddd it! The environment was so relaxing and the instructor was such a sweetheart and informative about the process AND the aftercare for the candle once I got it home. you get to pick out your own candle container, oils for you scent and then it's ready in a couple of hours after you finish it. This is a great experience for a solo day out, girls night or date night!

My candle I made and named!

Black owned business! Let's just start there. My boyfriend planned this romantic, private candle making date for my birthday and it was led by the owner, himself. Reggie is a true gem. He has an amazing story to tell when it comes to his love for candles and how it sparked a fire in him. The class was also byob so we were able to drink wine that we brought, but they offer wine, water and I believe tea. I learned so much about the candle making process that I had no idea about. I've been burning candles for quite some time and after this class, I feel like I can tell a good quality candle from a bad one. I have told many friends about this business and they will NOT be disappointed. Our candles smelled amazing and burned beautifully! PS. The candles take about an hour or so to solidify, so grab dinner in the area or walk around the mall while you wait!

My friend took me and my twin sister here for a bday gift. It's space in same building as Bloomingdale's. Easy enough to get to and park. We went on a Friday after work. The instructor was so nice and informative, can't remember her name. We were able to pick out our candle jars from their collection and choose from a pretty large assortment of scents. They provide wine, soft drinks or water during the experience and set a cool mood with brining their own candles and playing music. The only others with us was a couple on a date. It felt very private. The only downside was having to go back and pick up our candles after they set for a couple of hours. Because we went at the time of the last session, there wasn't time to go back the same night to pick them up. However, they do offer shipping, but I don't know the cost of that option. I would highly, highly recommend this as a unique and fun experience!

I love how clean the space was , the instructor was very sweet , it was a b.y.o.b which I thought was pretty cool but they also includ wine if you don't want to bring yours , our candles turned out amazing, they have a large variety of scents ,

Almost missed it. It's tucked away. I went in with high expectations from seeing all the TikTok…read morevideos and reviews and stuff and I was really disappointed. The female sales associate was less than friendly. Didn't seem excited or cared that I saw their business on social media and drove 4 hours to see it. The other guy was helpful though. I was expecting ALL travel sizes though, not regular sizes too. That's fine. It was fun to look at. I felt obligated to purchase something. I felt like it was really overpriced though. A travel sized bottle of Kérastase for $20.99? No thanks! I'll buy the full size from the company and get that for free. Also, the store is very, very, small. It was nice to see it, but I highly doubt I'd ever go back.

If you've ever been inside a beauty supply store, you'll find this to be a poor imitation. For…read moreexample, they have an extremely narrow selection items of like clips, bobby pins, brushes, combs, scissors, and curlers/curling rods. And they're so overpriced. Moreover, I saw few, if any, wigs, makeup, styling tools, and hair dryers, or they were not prominently placed. The dye section consists of small shelf in the back with 1 or 2 brands, all permanent. Also the travel beauty supplies that they advertise on social media were nothing special. There were a lot of drugstore brands. Beauty supply stores are generally known for their variety and lower prices. Sally's and Target, you pretty much have all the same brands at a better price. Also nobody greeted or acknowledged me, except for a tight smile from a woman standing near the front. I was the only customer at the time. Another employee was trying to stock items in the back of the store where the travel beauty supplies are. It was awkward having someone work around you in such a narrow space, but not really acknowledging you, and they seemed kind of annoyed.
