I am writing this to rate the California Subs that is part of the Chicago Gyros at this location. The lady working behind the counter was awesome. I had to clarify something with my wife's order via mobile phone and she was understanding despite the inconvenience of having to wait for me. The sandwiches were packed full of flavor and all of the items I selected for our individual orders. I was very pleased with our order and the value. My dollars went much further here than at other establishments, which is important given the economy right now. We ate very well. Highly recommended, especially if you're on a budget. I cannot say enough about the lady at the counter. She has a great work ethic and puts her heart in her work. We will be back! read more

First time trying this place and was GREAT! My kids got the chicken gyro with just cheese and I got the lamb gyro and they were amazing! Most definitely try the cream cheese wontons, they are mouth watering!!! Woman was very sweet and patient! Will definitely be coming back again soon! read more

We walked in for dinner while a phone was being tended to at AT&T. We were all stunned by the selection. I had the spätzle, which was not at all what I was expecting. I thought it was the dough kind. It was actually breaded pork. Either way, it was delicious. The catfish dinner was also outstanding. The potato salad was weirdly fantastic. Even the chicken tenders were good. Really good place for a quick lunch and it's just across the parking lot from Walmart in Oak Grove. Good thing they give you a lot of food for your money as I hate sHopping hungry! I would not recommend this place if you have ever had an authentic gyro. Large portion but is lacking in flavor. The service was fast.

I thought we were going to California Subs but Chicago Gyros and California Subs are in one place. The subs we ordered tasted like a Publix or Subway Sub, but they cost more. I prefer Publix more. $10 for a twelve inch sub was a little high. Unfortunately, I don't like the Subway nearby, and Publix is too far. It was nice to eat something that was not ramen though. Chicago's Gyros is clean, and well maintained. However when you walk in, you find yourself in a store with a sandwich shop, and the "gyro" shop. This place doesn't know what it is between the sandwiches, bulgolgi, gyro, and philly cheese steaks. I tried the Lamb Gyro platter with fries. The plates are so huge- each order should come with a warning that you can serve 2. However, the amount of lettuce, half tomato, and half onion made it hard to mix or eat anything. The pita with the platter was good, warm. The lamb was okay, but salty. The "cucumber Tzatziki" was anything but that between a mixture of thick mayo and ranch, and no real cucumber in sight. This establishment wasn't horrible, and the service was good but for an 11 dollar platter, I was underwhelmed and unimpressed. read more

In my opinion this is the second best gyro place in Clarksville. Definitely a good spot however that is nothing that'll beat my go to spot.

Thought I'd try them out But it was a huge mistake spent almost $50 in there and they didn't give me any sauce with my lamb salad so when I get home I'm totally disappointed plus they don't even give you pita bread. Who does that? I guess in Chicago. The funny thing is One of the employees was at the door holding sauce containers in their hand looking for someone they forgot to give it to before I got there next time I see that anywhere I will not go in. The staff was wonderful and quick with our food. I ordered the philly steak combo and the person I was with ordered the lamb with fried rice and we got the sugar donuts as well. It was cheap our total came to $25 and change but the food was AWFUL. I was nauseous all night and eventually thew everything up. Thankfully not food poisoning but I def do NOT recommend. read more

You definitely get your money's worth here!!! I had the lamb gyro platter. It was so good and the portion was huge!! I got it with the side of pita chips, it was a regular pita cut up into strips and deep fried. My husband got the catfish platter. It had 2 fish fillets deep fried and 4 chicken wings. It also had a huge pile of French fries and coleslaw. He said it was good and the fish was nice and flaky. My kids had the lamb gyros as a combo. The pitas were stuffed full of meat and toppings with a huge pile of fries and a cheese wonton. read more

Stopped in this evening for to go food. Clean and very friendly service. Ordered a lamb gyro and side of rice. Soooo much food. You get your monies worth. Tasted great!! Also got a side of mozzarella sticks and they came with fries. Very good and fresh all the way around. Recommend for a nice quick bite. Numerous specials and options as well. It's really a 3.5 star rate so I just rounded up. My only complaint is the fact that they jam pack everything into that little freaking wrap thing! Like I took one bite and everything fell out. I liked the fact that for 10 bucks I got all that food but dang charge me 8 bucks and put less food in it so I don't have my gyro fall onto my table. I might as well have gotten the platter since I had to eat my food with a fork . Service was quick and efficient and the customer service was great as well just quick packing all that food in that tiny wrap! Chicken was gross. Thin, floppy, grey, tasteless. It grossed me out and ruined the gyro.

First time I've ever had a gyro and I'm not disappointed at all. I got the bulgogi gyro. Absolutely phenomenal. They were pretty understaffed and it was obvious. The subs are absolutely AMAZING!!! A little on the expensive side but WELL worth it. And the staff are great. No matter how busy it is they always smile and ask how you are.
