DO NOT COME HERE! I've made a big mistake. They billed for things that they did not do and VERY UNETHICAL. He talked to me for 5 mins, looked in the eyes and told me to come back when I actually have a problem with the eyelids (there was no problem at the time of visit) and charged me for X,Y,Z procedures that were not performed during the visit. He even wrote it in the note... Why not write some fake surgical procedure so you can charge me more? Being a healthcare professional myself, I know what are professionalism and ethics. This place has NONE. The staff whom I encountered there were very rude (even the person who answered the phone). I was very polite and do not deserve people to talk crappy to me like that and neither do you. Wow this place is terrible. The staff has no idea what they're doing. They're completely incompetent. I've called more than once to get a prior authorization sent to another doctor for insurance reasons and they said they faxed it when they really didn't. They need to hire people who actually know what they're doing. On a positive note the dr I see is great and always does his best to help me and addresses my needs. read more

The office was empty when we first arrived, but there being just 1 doctor at the time who was with another patient, they made us wait despite the fact that my wife was having respiratory failure (not kidding). However, what upsets me the most was that they sent her home with a doctor's note despite the fact she actually had a fairly severe case of pneumonia! Thinking about it only makes me more angry because the doctor actually said "I know EXACTLY what you have - influenza". Anyway, long story short, we ended up at the ER 2 days later where another doctor took her chest x-ray and revealed she had SEVERE pneumonia. Lesson learned, don't trust the doctor no matter how sure they seem!!! read more

I've always had good experiences here my old doctor just left this month I am still making regular appointments as this office is my PCP they are straightforward make your appointments earlier or later in the day if you do not want to wait as they are also immediate care I'd recommend any good yelper out there!! :-) I can't believe this place has such bad reviews people have to wait if it's a non-appointment if a doctor is not available they are getting the next one available I really hope that this helps read more

This review is based on the experience of three of my family members. Husband: Went to get stitches. Completely looks like a hack job. Husband, not of the vain variety, is disappointed, but likes his new nickname of "Frankenstein." So, maybe a little fun came out of it after all. Daughter: Had sore throat, was given strep test, and then even though the test was negative, was given antibiotics. I'm no doctor (nor do I play one on TV), but it's common knowledge that one does not need antibiotics in this case. (Remember? We are all supposed to be wary of too many antibiotics . . .can you say, "SUPER BUG"?) Confirmed this with my other daughter's pediatrician. In addition to this, the doctor did a very minimal exam. Me: Had conjunctivitis. Am also pregnant. Explained this several times to the doctor, that I wanted a Category A or B drug, which is safest while pregnant. Doctor wrote an RX. I confirmed again if this was safe for the baby--- she said yes. Got home to check it out . . .nope. Category C! Thankfully, ANOTHER doctor called back with the RX for a Category B drug. Billing: We have a common insurance carrier. Checked to make sure they were in network. They are. Being billed as out of network. My insurance company said it was because they were using their new tax ID number instead of the old. I called twice and left messages with real people at the doctor's office-- the billing department never called me back. Finally, I got someone IN the billing department, so hopefully this issue will now be resolved. Now, maybe this is standard pricing, but I could not believe the charges. Thank you to my insurance for covering so much of it, even under the misinformed out-of-network status. Blood pressure check? $60! Step test? $76! Visit? $277. Being on a weekend? ANOTHER $300, just because it is an urgent care center, and throw in another $59 for it having been a weekend. Now, I won't hold this against them since maybe that's what they all charge, but it is NOT worth it if you have to pay this out of pocket. Or really, even if you don't. This weekend my toddler had her little fingers crushed in the door by my other daughter (she's fine!). No way would I trust the Lombard Emergency Care office to check for broken bones . . .thankfully, we are in network for the CDH Urgent Care Center, so we went there instead. Hope we never have to go back to the Lombard Emergency Care office. Not the worst place in the world, but far from the best. UPDATE in response to Mary: How are you searching for me, to verify whether or not I was actually a patient? It took me almost a YEAR to get my billing issue resolved with you, and I think it was you who finally helped me, after many unreturned calls from others. Why would I waste my time making this up? I've used various urgent care facilities in the Chicago suburbs over the last few years, and this was my best experience so far. I went in to get some temporary treatment for an injury that will require a visit to an orthopedist in a few weeks. My condition was pretty painful, and I didn't know how I was going to get through the three weeks until my appointment. I picked this facility based on proximity to my place of work. Registration was performed with a mobile app on a tablet they gave me - definitely a first in my experience. The receptionist was friendly and informed me what the wait time was. I was then seen without an appointment on a Monday after a five minute wait, which was less than quoted by the receptionist. I was then seen by Dr. Ghani who was both knowledgeable and compassionate. She was very familiar with orthopedic injuries and understood why I would be experiencing pain from an old knee surgery. I was surprised because most general practitioners seem a little lost when it comes to orthopedics. When I described my surgery from years ago, and how I recently reinjured it, she immediately understood I why I was experiencing some significant pain. I've injured my "bad knee" before over the years, and the general response I've gotten in the past is to essentially to "rub some dirt on it" based on lack of understanding of joint surgeries. Dr. Ghani prescribed the appropriate medication, and I think went above and beyond by recommending hospitals in the area that specialize in my condition. I can now make it to my appointment next month without suffering so much in the interim. The whole process took about an hour, and I was able to get in and out during my lunch break. The Lombard location is a joke. Please don't go here. Dr. Cerniak was extremely rude and refused to wear a mask to see me...even made me take my mask off perhaps to make a political point (very unsettling). I just needed a routine urine analysis done and he said it wasn't necessary even though I was charged $140 since they were out of network w/ my insurance. I was told I would get the results in 4-5 business days. A week went by and I called. They told me I had to drive 45mins to Lincolnwood to get my test results and that they couldn't give it to me over the phone. I have never heard of this nonsense?! Thank goodness I have a primary care physician and can just go to him but will never make the mistake of going here b/c I thought it would be convenient. read more

For the love of God, please do not visit this clinic. We've been to this clinic only once to get some stitches removed for my husband. The doctor did not have the correct scissors to remove the stitches so she said to go elsewhere. They literally gave us a bandaide and some Neosporin for his nose. Two years later, we are still getting bills from them saying we owe hundreds of dollars. Hundreds of dollars for a band aide and Neosporin? This place called me to do a school physical for my daughter as she has gone in for another matter a few months ago. I sent my daughter there with my au pair and they refused to see her because I wasn't there. I sent my drivers license and insurance card and offered to sign a typical waiver. Getting no where with the person answering the phone he transferred me to the doctor. Very unpleasant man. Gerald Ceniak. At one point in the conversation he actually asked me what kind of mother allows her 14 year old daughter to go to a physical with a babysitter? A Truly woke individual. I'm a divorced working mom who travels for her job which is why I have a full time child care provider. I tried to explain to him that I've never had trouble being out of town before but he could not get his mind around an alternate solution. The man was so arrogant and ignorant, I certainly wouldn't ever allow him to see any of my four children, I can only imagine he is practicing exactly as he did 40 years ago in the age of the dinosaurs when working mothers were looked down upon. Went here to get checked out for a car accident. Nothing major, just wanted to get checked out and my primary care doctor was booked for another week. The doctor here literally just looked at me for 10 minutes and eventually said "go to the ER." That unhelpful visit cost me $800. Now I'm in a battle with billing. They're not applying my payments correctly or just flat out forgetting to and telling me I have a much larger balance than I actually do. The people there are nice when things get figured out but the majority of the time they're confused and can't answer questions. Stay away it's a headache. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor's office. They don't even deserve one star. Saw a doctor(?) here for acute ear pain. He told me I had a bunch of hair in my ear that needed to be trimmed and an ear infection for which he gave me drops. After a week of the pain steadily increasing, I was in the Walgreens getting my drops refilled when I spoke with the doctor there about my ear. She looked in my ears and proceeded to clean out a horrible wax problem. This took 5 minutes! She could then see into my ears properly and determined I had a serious inner ear infection. The drops the first guy gave me were completely wrong and I needed an oral antibiotic. When my wife went to the Lombard Immediate care to complain, she was chased out by the very rude office manager. read more

i usually read reviews before i go anywhere and am so bumped why i did not. i took my cousin here , she was visiting from CA and had been down for coupl days. We saw Dr. Sheeba Manaz. As such wasnt impressed by her..but then dint want to be judgemental. She did not give any medication and just asked her to take OTC drugs. My cousin showed no improvement ( infact felt worse) after a day and when we called them, they said they wll prescribe anitbiotics. A day later i called ( New Year day) with some other symptons that my cousin was showing, they said they will have a doctor call back. no response. i called atleast 2 more times but no response. i am surprised that inspite of me leaving 3 messages giving some more symptons that my cousin was showing but no response. I had no choice but go to another doctor and like enough the doctor had to change medicines as she was detected with flu and ear infection. Im not sure if Dr. Manaz did not do the right diagnose but overall i was very unhappy with the overall set-up; HIGH CHARGES , and NO RESPONSE to our phone calls. This review is for one doctor in particular; Simrun Gill MD I was seen at this office on 9/5/2013 for severe fatigue, mild sore throat, general weakness, and general body aches. After speaking with the medical assistant (Jodie I think) she felt it was warranted to be tested for mononucleosis, strep throat, and influenza, as my symptoms were similar to these three. While waiting for the tests to be completed Dr. Gill came in and spoke with me about my symptoms. I explained that my primary concern was the fatigue as I was getting my regular amount of sleep, and then falling asleep randomly throughout the day. This included while I was waiting at a red light on my way there, and also in the waiting room. I also shared with her that I had generalized aches throughout my body, a mild sore throat, and muscle weakness. I also made it very clear to her that my fiance and son were experiencing similar symptoms that had started around the same time. Without even examining me she shared that she knows of a couple of great therapists in Bloomingdale that could help me to "feel better". When I asked what kind of therapists she said they were psychologists, and that my fatigue was likely due to stress. I stopped her right there and explained AGAIN that the two other members of my household were also sick. She proceeded to share with me that I should probably be checked for fibromyalgia due to the body aches. SERIOUSLY!!! Admittedly I became very irritated and somewhat confrontational as she didn't bother to listen when I said, repeatedly, that two members of my household were also sick, and that I was frankly offended that she immediately jumped to the conclusion that my fatigue was psychological in nature. It was only after this that she decided to actually examine me. And this is where it gets really good... She took a look at my throat and immediately says that she knows EXACTLY what it is, because she sees white spots on my throat. Now I don't know a whole lot about the medical field, as I work in psych and addictions counseling, but from what I do know white spots usually is a sign of strep throat. So I say, "So it's strep?", to which she says, "Well, probably not." So what is it then one may wonder... "I'm not entirely sure actually." What happened to knowing EXACTLY what it is? Then she tells me it's sinusitis, which is a term I am really familiar with as I get sinus infections twice a year for the last 14 years. The problem here is that my sinuses are, for once, perfectly clear. She then tells me that it is a viral upper respiratory infection and that she will give me a prescription for antibiotics. Antibiotics are for BACTERIAL infections, not viral. When I tell her that I'm allergic to a specific antibiotic she got snippy with me and said, "Well what do you want me to do exactly?" I tell her that I just want to know the results of the tests, in which she walked out of the room, slamming the door behind her. 10 minutes later she comes in, slams down the prescription, and says, "You can leave now." WOW! I get to the pharmacy to fill my prescription, despite feeling like it was unnecessary, to which the pharmacist asks me if I know what it says. "Yes, it says amoxicillin; is it illegible?" NO, SHE SPELLED IT WRONG! The real shame in all of this is that Dr. Ghani and Dr. Nazeen are my primary doctors who I see here regularly and usually are spectacular with their ability to listen, diagnose, and treat. Honestly, if it weren't for this experience with Dr. Gill I would give this office at least 4 stars. If you have read to the bottom of this review, and decide at any point to use this office regardless, I urge you to see Dr. Ghani or Dr. Nazeen. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Worst experience I have ever had. I was in for a minor thing but need an antibiotic to cure it. I had narrowed it down to 1 of 2 things since I have a science background. The doctor I had was awesome but does not normally work there so I do not think she was aware of what goes on there. Unneeded tests were performed such as an over $100 flu test. They forgot to draw my blood for a western blot test during my first visit. I was prescribed an antibiotic, which immediately took care of all my symptoms. I came back for a follow up and they wanted to take my blood since they forgot to take it the first time. At this point the antibiotics worked and I felt normal so I didn't need the test. My doctor recommend that I get the test since I had insurance so it shouldn't be much, and so the doctor could confirm her diagnosis. The test ended up costing almost $500 for a test that most other places would be $100-$150, and my insurance only covered $40. I was also charged $300 just for the office visit the first time and $200 for the follow up. This does not include the copay, tests, vital or service rendered which were all ridiculous priced as well. Then when I my results came in I was told I could just call, well it wasn't that easy. They wanted me to come in and pay another copay just for someone to tell me it was positive or negative which could have been done during the follow up if they didn't mess up. It took 4 calls to finally get my results. They acted like there was something really wrong with my results but it ended up that I was positive for what I thought I had in the first place. I also called once I got my bill since it was so high and not itemized. They took off a few of the little things when I questioned them about their billings. Also whenever I called I was usually put on hold for 10 minutes before I would hang up and call again since they forgot about me. This happened many times. I will never be back to this place again! read more

I needed immediate care as my first two choices weren't available. So I went here. Ultimately I would go there again if my first 2 choices aren't available. It's a bit expensive here since it's immediate care. If you don't have insurance don't bother going. I got billed for everything but insurance covered almost all of it. Since it's immediate care I paid about $90, only cost me $20 for almost same service at my primary doctor, but still reasonable. Even with some lab tests I was waiting for, I was surprised it took just over an hour for the doctor to see me when there was only 1 person in front of me. But I was very sick and doctor's prescriptions immediately helped me recover so I was grateful. read more

THEY ARE SHARKS. DO NOT GO THERE. My wife went to Lombard location with a symptom of step throat on 06/09/2014 as her primary physician was out of the town. Attending doctor performed a test which came out negative. Prescribed antibiotic worked. I paid $35 co-pay. But we were sent a bill of $470.00 of which insurance paid $153.73 and after the adjustments we were asked to pay additional $70.80. When we questioned, we were told additional charges was due to the lab test performed outside of the clinic which was unnecessary. While we were tying to sort this bills out, we got threatening calls from their billing office (Nella Mercado) on 7/25/2014 and on 8/9/2014 that they would send it to collection agency if we do not pay. She was very rude, unprofessional and wild. She commented, "apparently, you do not have financial means to pay and we will send it to collection agency". It was completely unacceptable to say that because we are financially better than she thought off. Usually, billing office has 120 days before sending it to collection agency. They can keep sending the bills while patient sorts out the billing issues. But they cannot bully, vilify and harass patients. This is completely unacceptable. Avoid this place at any cost. Do not go to this immediate care! I have been to other immediate cares and I only took my daughter to this one because it was open later. I will never go here again. Took my daughter here because her arm was very sore for a couple of weeks and wasn't getting better. The doctor literally asked her some questions, told her to raise her arm and asked if it hurt. He wrote her 2 prescriptions and a note for work. Charges were $414 for office visit, $300.00 for emergency visit and $183.00 for a Health Risk Assessment Test. For a whopping total of $897.00! This place is a total rip off. My insurance paid part of the office visits but denied the $183.00 for the Health Risk Assessment Test because they said that test was not warranted during an office visit for her arm. I would like to know exactly what a Health Risk Assessment test is? All the doctor did was ask questions. That's all he did. Shouldn't that just be an office visit? This is a totally ridiculous charge. I called there today and told them I am not paying for this charge and their place was a complete rip off. I will fight this and report this office as soon as I'm done leaving some reviews. I would have been better off going to the hospital. When we got there we were the only one's in the place. I usually never write reviews here on Yelp, but this place was absolutely disgusting. I actually never ended up going through with the actual appointment and called the Health Department after leaving. So the 1 star I gave it is because I HAD to put something.. I went in for blood work the Monday of Memorial Day. Now, I completely understand that being that it was a day off for many people, doctor's places like this would be very busy. My sister and I showed up at 1:00 for a walk-in appointment. We sat in the waiting room until 2:30 before getting put in the room with the doctor. The room was disgusting. The floor was dirty. There were stains on the chairs. The lighting was dim. Those all should have been red flags but I decided to give it a chance after already waiting for almost 2 hours. After waiting ANOTHER 15 minutes, a "nurse" came in to take my vitals. She was asking the same questions over and over after I explained why I was there and what I needed the blood work for. She left and said the doctor would be in "shortly" to see me. All I needed was blood work. There was no reason this supposedly "qualified nurse" couldn't draw my blood so we could leave. Instead, ANOTHER 15 minutes later (it's now 3:15) the "doctor" comes in. Asks many other pointless questions and proceeds to tell my sister and I other stories about patients she's seen and why they came in. This "doctor" is telling us other patient's medical issues and gossiping about the drama in the waiting room?! Doesn't that break doctor-patient confidentiality?!? The doctor says the nurse will be back to take my blood. What?! Then why didn't she do it while she was in here?! There was no point in the doctor seeing me! After ANOTHER 10 minutes, the nurse calls me out to take my blood in this other little room. There's a mini-fridge with God knows what in it. The floor, again, was disgusting and dirty. But the BIGGEST ISSUE was that the "nurse" taking my blood actually pulled a "test manual" off the top of the dirty fridge to look up what test tubes to use to collect my blood in. You don't know this?! It's blood work, not rocket science! You have to look in a test manual to know how to draw blood?! While she was flipping through the test manual, she had the tourniquet on my arm. After 5 minutes, I asked her to remove it since she wasn't drawing blood yet. After 20 minutes of sitting in the chair waiting, she collected the tubes and started the process. I'm not a big fan of watching this process but I made sure she put on clean gloves and opened the needle in front of me because I did NOT trust what she was doing. After she poked me once and couldn't get blood, she wanted to do it again in a different vein. To spare everyone the blood and gore, the station we were working on had become cluttered, filled with the old needle she used, cotton swabs, her old gloves...at that point, I figured my health was more important than waiting around for this incompetent "nurse" to find a good vein and draw my blood. I ended up walking out after asking for a bandaid. Needless to say, after complaining that we waited around for almost 4 hours and didn't even get the blood drawn, I still wasn't allowed to get my copay back because I had "seen the doctor." I wanted to leave so bad and get out of this disgusting hole of a place so I didn't even fight it. Again, we called the health department when we left. I don't care if I was dying, I would NEVER go back here ever again. Everyone here was very unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Normally I go to Hinsdale Family Medical Center, however it's usually impossible to get same-day or next-day appointments out of them. I was experiencing severe sharp pains in my shoulder blades and neck, and needed to see a doctor immediately. This is the only clinic out of 6 that I called that actually accepted my crappy insurance. The place itself looks pretty run-down and not very well maintained, but I wouldn't say it looks much worse than my normal doctor's office. I've visited here 4 times in the past 2 weeks (obviously my health hasn't been well,) and I have had only positive experiences. At any walk-in clinic, you should really expect there to be a wait, especially if the clinic is busy, so for these people who are complaining they waited a long time, I apologize you don't have enough common sense to realize that this is how most immediate cares work. Even if you were to go to an emergency room, you'd be waiting quite some time to see a doctor. They could definitely use more than one person manning the front desk on busy days, but other than that, I don't have much to complain about the front desk. The two women I encountered there during my visits definitely weren't incompetent, they were just extremely busy trying to assist all of the patients who came in. Doctor Reyes really helped me out with my back issue, and I'd definitely rather come back here again, rather than my shitty doctor in Hinsdale! read more

I was careless while cooking the night before my visit here and ended up with some 2nd degree steam burns on 3 of my fingers with some decent size blisters. Wanted to make sure the fingers were ok and no risk of infection and unfortunately my primary happened to be closed that day so I gave this place a call and try due to them being very close to where I work. Went during my lunch hour. Don't let the site fool you. Doesn't really look like it does in the pictures and I don't mean this in a good way... After a 20 minute wait, I was put in a room and then moved to another due to poor lighting in the original. When finally seen, the doctor drained the blisters (poked me while doing so and apologized when I winced in pain), spread some burn cream on the blisters, and literally had to scissor cut some bandaids and stick them together to cover the blisters because the facility didn't have the right bandages that would cover the burns appropriately. That was the extent of what was done and I was sent on my way. Did not ask if I was in pain, did not offer medication for pain, inflammation, or antibiotic. Nothing. Just the draining, cream, and bandaids that were pieced together out of what they had on hand. I've got BCBS with a policy that has bills ran through them before you pay and yet I was still asked for a deposit. That's fine. If that's policy of this place, it is what it is... I paid it. Yet after running the visit through my insurance, this place calls and tells me that I still owe hundreds of dollars to them for their service after what insurance covered... Seriously?! FOR WHAT?! I'm not one to bad mouth people who try to help you but this cannot be helped.... It's absolutely absurd. How they think they are owed and deserve so much money for such minimal and mediocre care should be criminal. The same care I was provided could have been done by my own hands at home with what I have in my medicine cabinet. I'm sorry I didn't... In the future, I don't care if I'm bleeding out... If you want to hear my opinion about this place ...... here you go. IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR HEALTH AND SANITY RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !! I was told upfront during my visit that I will not receive any health care today if I don't pay my copay and an additional amount of 90$. No other place I have visited has ever asked me for this kind of an amount upfront. When i pointed this out , I was rudely told that this is their office policy. And if my insurance company pays the entire amount i will receive a refund cheque for the additional 90$. I needed to see a doctor badly which is why i went ahead. GUESS WHAT , its been over a year and still no refund. The billing department at this facility is one of the worst and the most unprofessional I have ever come across in my experience. Nelly the person i spoke to , when confronted about the issue rudely barks at you. Even between all the rudeness flying around , all that this person does I feel is just string you along. SAMPLE THIS. My insurance company had paid the entire amount in full. When I pointed this out to the billing department I was told I need to wait for 90 days. When I called after 90 days , I was told that they are still waiting for my insurance company to mail the explanation of benefits to them. I was then asked to wait for another 60 days. After this back and forth I made my insurance company follow up with the billing department periodically , instead of putting my self through this ordeal. The insurance representatives came back and told me that the lady they spoke to was uncooperative and rude. One of them was even told not to call this facility again. They were told that refund is processed by a different department outside the facility. When they asked for a contact number of the department they weren't give any. All that was told was that the patient has to wait to see his refund. GUESS WHAT ... I AM STILL WAITING. In my opinion this behavior is not just unethical but amounts to harassment of another human being. Awesome way to loose customers for life. read more

Got my health problem worked out, but as stated above in another review the billing is ridiculous. It's now been 11 months and I'm still trying to get them to send me a reimbursement check. Worst customer service, worst billing department. They won't call you back and make excuses why they are lazy and won't go out of their way to make it right. I'm not asking for much and call maybe every 2 weeks to check up on the status. Just want my money and to move on with my life. Avoid this place if you don't want to deal with bad billing practices. read more

I went to this office for a sinus infection. I just received my EOB today, and I was shocked at the charges for looking up my nose and taking my vitals. They charged $637 for the visit. Blue Cross paid them $135.50 and I pd my $30 copay. They charged $327 for a medical visit, $10 for a diag. medical exam and another $300 for the critical care center. Wow!!! I will stick with DuPage Medical after hour care that you can just walk in. read more
