Excellent place got so lucky to be recommended. The food has soooo much flavor and the service is over the top.

The place is so cute, small but still comfortable. It's important to know that you must have a reservation. The food was delicious. We started with the Artichoke appetizer which was in a very good sauce. They served a bread basket for the table as we waited for our order. The bread was so soft!! Our orders were Eggplant Parmegiana, Lasagna, Chicken Piccata, and Chicken Alfredo. All served with soup or salad. 3 of the meals (except the Lasagna) were served with a side of Rigatoni. Everything was delicious; we were all pleased with our dishes. Our server was very attentive and provided a complimentary Tiramasu for our Anniversary, which was the best I've ever had. There was a fine chocolate powder on top then a drizzle of a rich dark chocolate! Yum! We asked for 4 forks because this dessert was very shareable! Will definitely be back.

Cute little spot that i heard about and wanted to try! Parked in back but you can park across the street.. make reservations since tables are limited. Food was excellent. Lasagna was hitting the spot! Bucket list checked

What Hidden gem. It's not really hidden but very unassuming as it is in a house! Intimate atmosphere and the food is outstanding. We loved the busy atmosphere and how engaging the staff was. Probably the BEST Italian food I've ever had. We saw a whole family come in to eat as well as a lot of takeout. You can tell this place is very well liked in the community. We can't wait to come back.

It's been a very long time since I have been to this place. Born in the mid 70's, little has changed about this downtown Las Vegas staple. Tiny spot serving traditional Italian dishes. Solid menu of pastas, chicken and seafood dishes. Randy, our server was very accommodating and really covered his half of the restaurant very well. Dinner was good and there was leftovers for sure. If you're into an old school restaurant and Vegas institution check out, Chicago Joes.

This is one of our favorite restaurants and by far the best lasagna in the city. We love coming here. The waiters are great and have been here for a very long time. It's a very small restaurant that used to be a house that was built in the 40's. It's pretty tight but very comfortable and cozy and charming. The food is great and the prices are much better than most places around them. Always make sure to make a reservation because as mentioned there aren't that many tables to begin with.

Blink and you would miss it. The Italian restaurant is located inside on old house turned restaurant in downtown Las Vegas. Seating is limited so I would recommend a reservation. All entrees come with soup or salad. I had the soup which was ok. My spouse had the salad with creamy garlic dressing. The dressing is made in house. It was delicious. For my meal I had the ravioli. It was a very generous portion. It was good. My spouse had the chicken Parmesan. It was also a very generous helping. The prices were reasonable for Las Vegas and the waiter was very nice.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in all of Las Vegas. Go there for the lasagna and garlic cheesebread. Recommend reservations as they only have a handful of tables.

I love to find restaurants off the beaten path and stumbled onto Chicago Joe's. Lucky me! Walking in it's got a great feel and vibe. A little on the darker side (loved it) and friendly. My waiter was the bald waiter from Boston (I don't recall his name) and other than having bad taste in sports teams, he was an impeccable waiter! Great friendly banter and very knowledgeable about food! Finally my meal! The bread was hot & fresh, olive oil & balsamic perfect as well as my house salad. Finally the cioppino came! Whoohoo! Fresh & good sized shellfish and fish. I like the sauce a bit more "brothy" but it was solid! Th pasta was fresh oh and my Peroni was cold! Great experience!

Lasagna, Joe's shrimp pasta smelled fishy

Sadly the food was gross. Service was good. Just not what we expected from the reviews and pictures we saw. Out of the artichoke app. Fishy smelling shrimp pasta, and lasagna wasn't great. If you like cheese and meat probably your thing but I struggled to find the noodles. Just disappointing. Giving a 2 star not for the food but our server was very nice.

Cheesecake with a strawberry puree sauce and whipped cream! Yum!!!

I went here recently before I went back to California because it's one of my FAVORITES it's something tourists don't quite know about and more of a local spot because it's a bit off the strip more so in the downtown area, yet still VERY nice!!! This restaurant a lot of history to it and I believe the city of Las Vegas just acknowledged their 50th anniversary of it being open this year of 2025! Now that's cool! I absolutely love love love their pasta, appetizers, CHEESECAKE, and basically everything on the dang menu is beyond. For me personally, I love getting their cheese stuffed raviolis in their creamy Alfredo sauce with shrimp added. Absolutely divine. Also if you're a cheesecake fan, it is a MUST have to get a slice before you leave! Perfection with a fresh strawberry puree sauce drizzled all over it. The service is absolutely wonderful our server was so sweet and told us he had been working there a very long time and had a sense of humor to him. That's what I love about old school Vegas restaurants is the service is just beyond wonderful every time and they sure as hell know what they're doing and are damn good at it!!! He was the best, I wish I could have gotten his name to give him a shout out! The vibe for this restaurant is very much a dark, quiet to average, classy, upscale, and a very intimate type of restaurant. I think this would be a perfect place for date nights, however I went with a few girls this last time and we had just as much fun. The Italian in me will come back every time I'm in Las Vegas!

Steamed clam and mushroom escargot appetizers with almost all eaten salad...lol

So let me start off by saying that this place is a hidden little gem when it comes to Vegas...you can tell it is a local's place! The ambience states warmth, quaint, family!! I felt like I was nestled by the fireplace of a cozy cottage!! The service....EXCELLENT!! Our waiter was wonderful!! He expedited our orders in perfect timing, giving us time to enjoy our appetizers, then salad, then entrees. Now for the food!! We had mussels, steamed clams and mushroom escargot! Everything was delicious! The only thing I could give a score that wasn't a 10 out of 10 was that the mushroom caps were raw...but the taste was perfection!! Might I suggest to the chef to cook the mushrooms a little before assembling the dish to cook...and let me stress on this...THE DISH STILL TASTED AMAZING!! Next week got our salads... We were given a choice of either vinaigrette or a creamy garlic dressing... I had the vinaigrette which was good... My husband had the creamy garlic dressing... Now that's something to slap your grandma over!!! I'm so upset that I did not get the creamy garlic dressing... My husband let me have a bite to try it... Then I stole three more bites. It was so good... Definitely getting that one next time!! Our entrees were superb! I had the pasta with white clam sauce...they let me have the choice of angel hair pasta with it...sooooo gooood!! My husband and one of our other friends had the lasagna... oh my God!! my husband let me taste that lasagna... Probably the best lasagna I've ever had... And I eat a lot of lasagna and make it as well... So so good! Another friend had the seafood platter (forgive me. I don't know the actual name of it... But it was one of their specials I do believe.) it looked incredible!!! And then our friend who took us there had the spaghetti and meatballs, which also looked delicious and he said it was very, very good!! We're in Vegas at least once a year at this time for a Dart tournament that we play in... This is now going to be our first night meal whenever we come here... I wish I could compliment the desserts because I'm sure that they were amazing as well but we were so full that we couldn't even think of dessert! I give this place seven out of five stars... And a 12 out of a 10 ! WE DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK!!!! Thank you to the chef and to our server, but most of all, thank you to the owners of Chicago Joe's for having such a wonderful restaurant for us to enjoy while we were here!!!!

I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about. I loved this restaurant. It's small and cozy. Kind of like eating at your nonna's house. There's a parking lot in the back but beware it looks a bit sketch at night. The chicken marsala was amazing! It was the most authentic I've had. The dinner entrees come with soup or salad and bread.

I was excited by the nonstop advertising of "authentic! Did you hear us? We make authentic!" here, and I hadn't had a proper carbonara since Rome. Firstly, the waiter repeatedly "corrected" me on the pronunciation of basic Italian food words. I am fluent in Italian. I assume he's never heard the words out loud...? He was repeating his wrong words over me until I said, "ok yeah, fine, that" while pointing to the items. Even if I was full of nonsense and speaking French, that's weird. Throughout the dinner, he was nearly impossible to locate, until we noticed that he spent his time socializing with his bros in the doorway and barely looked at the dining room. The carbonara is mac and cheese. It's mac and cheese with bacon. The tiramisu at least wasn't just coffee flavored cake, like some restaurants try to serve. That was a relief! It was delicious. But those arrive to the kitchen pre-made; there is not a pastry chef in the kitchen. The dining room is cute, and we sat at a high top table, which was lovely. Overall we had a nice time, but... eh.

The Chicken Pesto was a little more lemony than I expected, but I would still order it again because it was very good. The Spicy Rigatoni Vodka had the perfect amount of spice not too spicy, but enough to give it great flavor. The Strozzapreti and White Truffle Garlic Bread were not my personal favorites, but my family really enjoyed both of them. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were great, and I would definitely come back.

Owner Laura sat us right away, Augusto served us and hit on all 8 cylinders. From the wine selection, Castelli Red Italian Blend we were doted over like we were the only table! Started with some fantastic bread. Then apps. We had a fabulous Eggplant Ripeni, stuffed with Ricotta it was delicious. Then Chef Laura brought out an Arancini appetizer that I can only describe as decadent! Stuffed with Cheese, topped with a Garlic Aioli and Braised Short Rib that was delightful. It was perfectly cooked and had just a hint of Saffron. So good! Then our Entrees. Ravioli Funghi Tartuffo. Perfectly creamy and still light sauce with just enough Truffle and Porcinni to tantalize the tastebuds and leave you wanting more as you are licking the plate! Next up is the Veal Colleta Milano. A specialty of our Chefs home town. Pro tip order this one to share! Tender Provimi Veal expertly breaded and sautéed in Butter! Topped with Arugula and fresh Tomatoes and Shaved Pecorino cheese. Yes it was cooked to perfection and so memorable, my new menu favorite! We never made it to dessert but we lounged and wined in the absolutely gorgeous dining room and we enjoyed ourselves immensely! Thank you Chef for bringing us your new appetizer ti try out it was beyond delicious!
