We have been working with CPS for 3 years - we moved to Chicago from the Bay Area 3 years ago and after a LOT of research decided to give them a shot - we are so happy we did. Their walkers are amazing, and the management team is so responsive, efficient, and polite! Our dog is a rescue (we rescued her when she was an older lady) and she has lots of issues - but they knew exactly how to manager her and she now loves her walker so much! She gets really excited when they come to pick her up for her walks! CPS also helped us when we were in a bind - on weekends when we had forgotten to schedule things they were always super responsive (even though they are not supposed to be!) We are going to be moving out of Chicago soon and we are very sad to leave CPS - but they are so great that they are helping us find a great walker for our dog in our new location! Chicago Pet Sitters exceeded all of our expectations! We started using Chicago Pet Sitters as soon as we got our puppy last August. They offer a great "puppy walk" that allows you to schedule shorter visits for puppies for less money than normal walks. This is an amazing option when you are trying to potty train your puppy. We definitely took full advantage of that option! Over time, we started scheduling a variety of different walks (including 25 minute walks and 40 minutes walks) for our dog on various days. CPS makes it very easy to request walking services; all you have to do is utilize their user friendly website. When you sign up for services with CPS, they "assign" you a main dogwalker, we had two during our time with them. That dogwalker comes on the days you request. Our dog's last dog walker, Ash, was absolutely amazing. She always arrived within the requested time range and quickly learned our dog's mannerisms. We alway felt very comfortable and at ease knowing Ash would be taking care of our dog that day. She goes above and beyond her job including informing us that she thought our dog's bathroom activities were slightly off one day and she may be experiencing a UTI. As all dog owners who can't be home with their dogs during the day know, it is hard to monitor your dogs health when you aren't there constantly. Luckily for us, Ash always kept us in the loop. Jared, the manager for CPS, always communicated to us if we had a substitute dog walker for the day and was very accommodating to our fluid and ever-changing work schedules. Dana, Brianne, and Alison take great care of my cats when I travel. They spend about 20-30 minutes with them--playing with them, brushing them, and just hanging out with them. They leave notes each day and send me text messages to let me know they are there and how the visit is going. The best part is when I am gone for a long time and they email pictures of my cats. That is very cool. They pick up my mail, too, which is a nice touch. I would wager a guess that I am one of Dana's highest paying clients but I don't mind. I've used a couple different dog walking services in Chicago, and finally found my way to CPS after experiencing too many issues or having them forget to walk my dog. CPS is so reliable, I never have concerns that my dog is in good hands and being taken care of. Our walker Caitlin is just wonderful. I have a 14 year old dog who can be a little finicky on walks, but Caitlin is great with her. I always get a timely email and picture after their walk for the day. There have even been times when my dog is sick or acting weird when Caitlin comes, and she sends me a personal text to alert me. I really appreciate this added touch and I know that she really cares about my dog. Their online system is very easy to use to request services and update instructions for your pet. I've been using CPS for about six months -- and have had nothing but stellar experiences. Last week, I hurt my knee and will be on crutches for the foreseeable future. Dana and Jared immediately responded to my emails (from the hospital, no less) about moving from on-call to a twice-daily walk, and Rodney has been wonderful about coming to my home every morning at 8:00 a.m. on the nose, and every evening at 6:00 p.m. to make sure my dog is walked and fed. We've been using CPS for little over a year now and I can not recommend this team of walkers enough. If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and caring pet sitter or walker, look no further and contact CPS! The owner Dana is extremely easy to work with and very responsive. The managers, Jared and Carrie, respond to my inquiries within an hour (and I tend to switch dates on them a lot unfortunately) and they been always very understanding when we need to change something up. We only use them twice a week to walk our Fuzzy Bundle of Joy because my husband tends to work from home a lot. However, there are many times when I might need to change the routine from one day to the next or if we work late, we may need them to come an extra day and CPS have always been extremely flexible with our schedules. They invoice us in a timely manner and they always let us know if there is a change in the walker schedule because someone might be out that day. The walker leaves a note for us every time they come in and discuss that day's activities (how the walk went, treats, etc). I love CPS!! We have been using them since June '13 when we brought home our 8 week old bundle of puppy-joy. I called, and they came for a meet & greet the next day, with walks to start shortly after. Trixie has been with them from puppy-walks graduating to the once a day 30-min. Almost weekly, we have some sort of comment or schedule change, and they are incredibly flexible and respond to emails within minutes. I can even ask for text updates! Coming home to Bob's notes are my 2nd favorite part of the day (after greeting the pup of course). They totally understand my obsession and even play along, pretending that I'm normal. Words cannot express how much we love Chicago Pet Sitters. When we first moved to Chicago, we found another place to visit our cats while we were out-of-town. I was not satisfied with them, and when we got a puppy a couple months later, it was time to find a new pet sitter. After contacting Chicago Pet Sitters, we set up a meet and greet (required -- and a good thing), and they learned all about our pets. Christina comes over four times a week to give our puppy (I suppose he's almost a year old now) a midday potty break, and they've been incredibly flexible with vacation planning. Our puppy adores her, and we come home to detailed reports on how she spent her visit with him. She also spent a week and a half visiting with our two cats daily when we took an extended vacation last month. She sent us text messages every day to let us know how the kitties were, and when we returned, there was a stack of daily reports. All of the pets love her -- and I'm pretty sure the cats benefit from her daily visits almost as much (if not more) than the puppy. Dana is fantastic with keeping in touch and ensuring all scheduling is seamless. The company is incredibly professional (yet personal), and from the moment we met them, I was confident in their ability to care for the pets. I cannot rate Chicago Pet Sitters highly enough. Usually, remembering to call them before a trip is the last thing that comes to mind, but Dana has always been nothing but understanding and patient when we email her our out-of-town dates. The notes the sitters leave are honest ("A couldn't come in today, so B is leaving today's note") and contribute to the peace of mind we feel coming home. They even do some basic grooming at no extra charge ("We did some work on that winter coat today!"), so our cat is visibly well-brushed. Dana has even helped us locate other services which she doesn't offer, such as quality boarding houses and long-distance pet transport. I can't imagine how this service could possibly improve on what they've built. The ease and comfort we feel leaving our highly-pampered cat while we're out of town is priceless. I never felt like I didn't know what was going on with the start up process or what was happening at home with my cat. The owner sets up your appointment for a meet-n-greet and you're assigned a sitter(In my case, the awesome Angelique). Not only did Angelique text me pictures and info about her visits, but I came home to handwritten notes as well, that had me laughing. She pegged my cat's personality so well. I have used CPS for dog walking/sitting services since 2008 (!) so you could say this review is slightly overdue. :) I have 2 dogs, now aged 17 and 14, that I have entrusted with CPS for many years and have nothing but good things to say about their services. They walked my dogs 3 days/week and would do overnight stays when we would go out of town (one time they stayed with our dogs for 2 weeks while we were on vacation!). The walkers are very responsible and trustworthy. They were in and out of my house all the time, often staying overnight, and I never had any issues. More importantly, they were great with and to my dogs. My dogs are generally pretty easy to deal with, but they can be a handful at times. Yet, over 9 years I never got a report that one of them got off the leash or had any sort of incident with a person or another dog. Also, I'm pretty specific with what my dogs need (i.e. I'm one of those crazy dog moms and would leave detailed, multi-bullet point notes about their care) and CPS was always responsive. Many of the walkers were with my dogs for a long period of time and got to know them well. Sometimes I would be home when the walker arrived and it was obvious that many of them had made a connection with my dogs, which warmed my heart. I know they cared for them deeply and what more could you ask for? To this day, I remember some of the people that walked my dogs 8 years ago and one walker still texts to me this day to see how they are doing (though she moved on to a different career a couple of years ago!). I would get notes and text messages - and sometimes even if they had already left me a status note, they would send me the cutest pics of my dogs which always made my day. In fact, I could tell you a lot of stories that set CPS apart - including recently when my 17 year old Jack Russell got very sick with pancreatitis and they sent him a care package of goodies and toys to cheer him up. Basically, they get to know your pets and they care for them as they would their own. Over the course of 9 years I would occasionally/rarely have a concern that I needed to raise - no business is perfect and it happens. But how concerns are dealt with is what sets businesses apart. Dana, the owner, is someone I have gotten to know and I can guarantee you that she takes your concerns, issues, feedback, etc., seriously and addresses them promptly (including when I've reached out on evenings or weekends and didn't even expect to hear from her until the next day!). I've always been 100% pleased with her responsiveness. She is a great business owner. What else can I say? My dogs are everything to me and I've trusted CPS for many, many years with their care.
