We drove up to Albuquerque just to try this pizza place on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We walk in around 11:30 and it wasn't too busy inside but they had a lot of door dash orders going out. We put our order in and waited about 15 minutes for our appetizers and about 20 minutes for our Chicago deep dish pizza. The chicken wings were good, I ordered them with mango habanero sauce and it wasn't hot but overall the chicken wings were good, a little pricey though. When our pizza came out it was the wrong pizza. I told the worker and he apologized and told me to wait a few minutes and he would make me the correct one. The correct pizza came out about 15 minutes later and it was great. It wasn't as thick as the pizza I've had at Giordanos in Chicago or Las Vegas but for around here (NM), it was great. Lots of cheese, tomato sauce topping and full of pepperoni and sausage. Me and my son ate the entire large pizza, 4 huge pieces each. I'm still so full writing this and it's been 5 hours since we left. I would definitely come back here and eat again. Price for this large Chicago deep dish was $22 and worth it imo. Service here was great. Friendly worker and very nice. Btw this guy was taking orders, making pizzas, handling the tables all by himself. Two thumbs up from me. Hope to be back someday... read more

Updating my review to two stars because this is the second time I've called well before posted closing hours and they've been closed. The pizza is terrific, but if you're that good, you should be able to plan well enough to accommodate Friday night pizza orders without "running out of everything" by 7:29pm! This is one of the worst take out I have ever received. I ordered a salad, lasagna and tiramisu. The salad had old shriveled vegetables. The little cup of cheese included had the white on it that grows close to being moldy. The lasagna was old with the whole bottom almost burned. Will not get food from this place again. I'm from Chicago and I think it's the closest thing to Chicago stuffed pizza. It's not like typical pan pizza. I like the sauce, tastes fresh without a lot of added spice. But I'd love the pizza if the crust was better. The base is kind of thick, too doughy and not enough cheese. I guess I'm picky about crust. But overall the sauce brings it up a level. It's is kind of fast food parlor kind of service. Booths are comfortable enough. I'm from Jersey so I think of Chicago style as more of a casserole, but it is a good deep dish pizza. Albuquerque is kind of rough for East coasters looking for NY, but the Chicago Pizza Kitchen is a different experience, and I don't know how true to Chicago it is, but I enjoyed scarfing up what they were laying down. read more

We went there for the first time with some of our friends for their Chicago style pizza and ordered two large pizzas. The counter service was friendly and overall the service was good. The pizzas were good, but not stellar. The tomato sauce was too bland / mainstream for Chicago style and missed a bit of spice like fennel. Trust was good and kept up well when reheated the next day. In fact, I thought the whole pizza tasted better the next day. No alcohol is being served. I'd recommend they cut a deal with the brewery next door, similar to what boxing bear offers in some of their places. read more

They have a sign that says BEST PIZZA IN ALBUQUERQUE and man are they right!!!! The crust makes the pizza! I tried the True Chicago Deluxe and also got a lasagna. Extra bonus they told me they make the lasagna from scratch! The lasagna was so awesome with lots of beef and cheese so delicious but back to this pizza....that crust was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Best pizza hands down! The crust is so buttery and soft in the middle and nice and crisp on the outside. Just the perfect bite! I always order the True Chicago but I just heard they have an xl thin crust so I will be trying that one out next time! Pizza was ok- if you have ever been to Chicago you know a large deep dish pizza takes about an hour to cook and easily feeds 8 people. I was shocked when they said a large would take 15 minutes. The large here was $30 and did not come close to feeding 6. We also had wings, mozzarella sticks, and green chili cheese fries. They were all ok- 3 stars for this place. read more

WOW! This place is AMAZING. The best pizza we have ever had in Albuquerque!! The pizza was so delicious and with so many combinations who could choose really, but we chose the all meat true Chicago style deep dish and the large breadsticks with cheese and bacon as toppings. Let me tell you the truth, we all decided we could easily pizza from this place twice in the same day, so that should tell you just how good it is. With so many subpar eating establishments in the SE Gibson area, it is truly nice to have an establishment that we can count on for good quality food in busy times. I ordered three items. Cinn A Nuggs, breadsticks and a 9" lobo pizza. The picture of the "Cinn A Nuggs" show a raised dough even though the description says they use their 9 inch pizza dough. It was definitely their pizza dough. A thin, tasteless perfectly round ( almost factory like ) of under cooked pizza dough with a tasteless, thin layer of something that purports to be cinnamon sugar with some additional icing on the top. I mistakenly ordered breadsticks when I was trying to order cheese bread. Apparently, cheese on the cheese bread is an option that you have to select. This, in spite of the fact that every picture of their "breadsticks" shows a thick layer of cheese on top. Also, all of the pictures show a bread like substance, where I was presented with what was clearly a pizza dough with some kind of butter flavoring, possibly brushed on, with some sort of seasoning shaken onto the surface. And the Chicago style pizza was the final item I ordered. I've eaten Chicago style pizza in Chicago many times. I've personally made Chicago style pizza in my own kitchen. The only resemblance to Chicago style pizza was the fact that Chicago Pizza Kitchen puts their sauce on the top of the pizza. Taking a typical thin crust pizza dough and putting it in a deep dish pizza pan is no way to make a Chicago style pizza and I should have realized when I was told I could pick up my order in 15 minutes that there was no way I was getting an authentic Chicago style pizza. Chicago Pizza Kitchen uses stock photos on their website, and did not actually take photos of the food their kitchen produces. A quick search using Google confirms this with the breadsticks photo showing up on numerous sites including one that indicates the photo is a royalty free stock photo. The picture of the Cinn A Nuggs is actually a greek breakfast item called Bougatsa, and that picture is on a Greek Travel site. My recommendation would be to skip Chicago Pizza Kitchen. I paid for this food so you don't have too. read more
