The brisket wasn't as tender or flavorful as I'd expect, the corn was too watery and and it tasted out of a can and they only placed a small amount of brisket, the mc and cheese was ok at best. The bbq sauce was also super sweet . The turkey though was very juicy, the Twinkie's were to die for, probably one of the things you should come for. The torta could use less fat and more brisket but the croissant was so buttery. The brewery it's next to was a great hangout place chill, fun, plenty of seating and they had great beer. I also expected if I order a platter to eat there, you actually put it on one not to go boxes especially because presentation matters. Definitely not worth $157 plus tax.

Houston ! This is some really really good bbq and the service is spot on. Great staff to boot. They do pop ups all over the Houston area, so follow his IG or FB to get his current locations for the day. Seriously you won't be disappointed with what they bring to the table. They're definitely going big. Smoke on my dudes. Till we eat again.

I found this place through IG. Very personable people in the the middle of EADO. They ar about to open a spot in the heights soon the owners informed. Turn over time was great and didn't have to wait a long time. I'd definitely recommend to try. The corn is on our next list. Give it a 7 out of 10. We will definitely again.

    Brisket sandwich

I got to try this pop out recently and by the time I got there everything I wanted was sold out . So I settled for the brisket sandwich which my review will be based on. First let's start with the brisket, it was perfectly cooked, moist and fall off the bone tender. However, the flavor and seasoning on the brisket was a bit muted in my opinion, it needed something more. overall the sandwich itself was pretty basic for $17, it literally was just brisket and a potato bun. Not gon lie I expected some type of toppings or something else that would add a little razzle dazzle for $17. I highly suggest revamping the sandwich and doing more with it because rn it's not worth it in my opinion. Hopefully, I get to try the other menu items because that brisket elote was for sure calling my name.

Let me start by saying DON'T walk RUN to this place... He doesn't open until 3pm, but get there early and wait.. we arrived around 2:30 and there were cars in the lot and more were pulling up. When the young man saw us waiting, he walked over to our car and let us know what time they would start taking orders, 3PM.. The young men were all very friendly, they asked how we heard about them.. on social media and a local news channel, food story... once they took our order, they gave us a pager and walked inside adjacent Tikila's for a cool beverage.. or we could have sat at the picnic tables near the big red pit, but in this hot weather we opted for AC. The wait for our meal was not long at all. We ordered the Big Tex burger, Small fry (if this is small, my goodness the large must be a meal in itself), and brisket Eloté. The food was hot, seasoned very well, and the brisket was melt in your mouth tender. Everything was so flavorful.. we will be going back they have loaded fries that I MUST try. I am not a big Beef eater, but this Brisket was as tender and juicy, that I HAVE to go again. Give him a try I don't think you will be disappointed.

Amazing service, ambiance is A1, food is delicious . 10/10 Pricing is reasonable and definitely worth it!

Hands down some of the greatest bbq you'll have in Texas. It makes sense why they're winning over social influencers and gaining notoriety throughout the city. From Pitmaster Serafin down to his staff, they are great at what they do and friendly to all who hit the tent. I've been able to have brisket sandwiches, elote, to a variety of the menu on a platter. Everything is superb and to think they're still kinda fresh to the scene. Evolving from what's already great is going to say a lot in the coming years for Chicano BBQ. What a great addition to the Houston food scene. Oh and what a great food vendor they are. We've had the pleasure and privilege of them vending to our attendees at our annual Brown Bandanna events. Attendees were complimenting the bbq throughout the night. Highly recommend!

Big Tex burger is a certified banger! 10/10 Jalepeno sausage anf brisket is great. Cant go wrong, definitely give them a try!

11 out 10 for real! If I could give more stars I would. First, the owner is outgoing, loves serving people, and loves to bbq. Second, the Brisket Elote is the bomb! Got better after every bite. Third, his brisket is the best I have ever had. Sourced from the best farms. Tender and moist melting in the mouth. Forth, I had to go back same day to try their double stack smash burgers...amazing! Check them out.. you won't be disappointed.

The food was absolutely delicious, 10 out of 10! The owner was a really nice guy, very friendly and welcoming. The service was great. We found him on yelp and looked up his instagram to find out where he was located and the time he would be open. I will definitely be coming back again!

The taqueria cart / truck scene in Houston is among the city's most ubiquitous food options, which…read moremight be why Taqueria Tacambaro is both popular and overlooked at the same time. Located primarily near the parking lot of the Houston Farmer's Market, they're a solid destination for street side Mexican without the pretension. Tacos isn't the the only barometer, but it's a way to start. Admittedly I'm not a huge fan of the shredded lettuce with tacos (#1) but the meats are almost always the star of the show. I'm pleased to see that they utilize a number of beef cuts from the Houston-centric fajita (#2), asada, and even bistec. The latter was a tad saltier than I would have liked, which was really more of a cecina (salted). I don't have high opinions on the chicken (pollo) and pork (pastor), which I find to be some of the most boring choices on the menu. What Tacambaro really excels at is the rest of the parts: tripa (tripe), lengua (tongue), chicharron (rinds), buche (belly) and mollejas (sweetbreads). The latter was the real surprise and I can see why so many locals would want to come here for it. The mollejas are crispy, delightful, and full of flavor. With their tortillas and a little kick of the salsa, I can see how along with chicharron and lengua can become a specialty place in a hurry. It's not all rosas in this cart. Sometimes they're a bit in a rush and a lot of times the cart isn't actually around during its open hours. While it's supposedly open till 3pm, I've seen it gone just after lunch time. Even when it it is open, some of those choices are sold out in addition to some of the most expensive. Tacos are not the end-all, but I do appreciate their versatility with creating tortas, gorditas, flautas, and quesadillas. It's a cash only business to my knowledge and there are ATMs in the market, as well as places to sit. I would always make the effort to patronize Tacambaro, and hope any more do. __________ (#1) Tacos dorado? Fine. Maiz taco that's barely grilled? Eh. (#2) Native Houstonian, please explain why "fajitas" are on every taco truck please. I beg of you.

I had just been chatting…read morewith Gretel about breakfast tacos the day we landed in Houston -- and breakfast tacos are one of my favourite things about visiting Texas. We pulled up to this food truck and, while placing our order, I instantly had the feeling that this crew knew exactly what they were doing. That impression proved to be spot on as soon as I took my first bite. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and packed with the kind of simple, honest ingredients that make great breakfast tacos so satisfying. No gimmicks, no unnecessary fuss -- just well-executed food that delivers exactly what you're hoping for. The service was efficient, the operation ran smoothly, and it was easy to see why there was a steady stream of customers. Overall, an excellent breakfast taco stop and exactly the kind of local experience I look for when I'm in Houston. Saluti.

Luckily, this spot takes both card and cash! I got the small beef quesadilla, and it was loaded with cheese. The small quesadilla was $5.50, and it was pretty decently sized for a small. They have salsa set out at the counter, so you can pack as much as you like. The red salsa was smoky and SPICY. Very tasty if you like spice I see a lot of great reviews about this place. I would like to try their other tacos and give a more detailed review. I will be back! but for sure the quesadilla was a hit for me
