This use to be my favorite nail place in Riverside. I went to get a gel manicure and pedicure the weekend of NYE. I had a male manicurist. He was doing by nails and I suddenly felt pain on my right hand. (Ring finger) I remember saying ouch! And he said sorry he was just removing my hangnail. I figured a little discomfort does happen but in the long run it would be helpful, especially if I had a hangnail. From that moment on my finger felt tender and it was painful! More than a week later my finger is infected and swollen. See pictures below that I posted. I try not to write negative reviews but now my finger is infected. This makes me wonder if the tools they use are properly sterilized. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I guess I'll have to find another nail place. :( read more

One of the things I look forward to when getting a pedi is the couple minutes of massage and relaxation. The service I picked was the "royal" and the 10 minute massage that was included felt like a light rub over and over on my leg and hardly anything on my feet. I did not enjoy this rubbing whatsoever and had to tell the nail tech to stop and to just wrap up the pedi. Will try another place. read more

I went for a pedicure . Owner was very nice and welcoming as always . The environment is nice and even though the pedicures are pricey they have always done a great job . Until my last visit , my tech was Helen . Not sure if she was having a bad day or what but she took 2 hours and kept cutting me with the cuticle clippers, then she burned with the drill multiple times then brought out hot towels and burned the top of my feet really bad . I showed the owner upon leaving and she was upset and gave me $20 off next visit which is fine I guess but I paid $78 for a pedicure that was not relaxing but also painful and left the top of my feet peeling from the burns . I really feel like a coupon was not enough . I loved getting pedicures here but will probably never return and just gift someone the coupon . read more

I was seated right away, the staff was friendly. I got a gal mani and regular pedi it took them a long time to do my toes, over an hour just working on my toes. It was overpriced for the gel mani and regular pedi. I paid $65 not including tip. I probably Won't go back because it was overpriced but it was a nice experience. i got the express pedi which was supposed to only be 28 dollars, and 5 extra for gel. I was charged 44 dollars somehow, and the guy doing my feet cut my toe really bad. the paint job was awful, i wanted light purple but there's some sort of green top coat on them and it's very uneven. It's only been 3 days and it's already peeling off. They charge you stupid expensive prices and they don't care about the quality. Even the girls before me got up charged, leaving them very confused as well. They only care about getting people in and out, as well scamming them. read more

I don't generally go for the upsell-especially at a new nail salon. It's the start of summer, so I decided to splurge and get my feet looking good for upcoming beach trips. The salon is nice and relaxing-golf on the tv, no loud music. It's a large enough shop that you don't hear the conversations if every other customer. Harris convinced me to go for the deluxe treatment. And I was not let down he is very attentive to detail. He explained the treatments and gave a great massage. Johnny did a beautiful job on my gel nails. He removed the previous gel polish without damaging my nails. I could feel how great my nails would look when he finished as he took his time make sure each nail was perfect! I'll be back! read more

Stoped in here on a whim with my husband for a Valentine's Day treat and we both really Desperately wish we could take that decision back. We chose the CBD pedi (in case that may have contributed to our experience). My nail tech 1) would not stop talking, 2) was very sloppy with the hot towels and kept trying not to let them fall because he couldn't figure out how to secure them. 3) when it came time for the callus remover was when everything went horribly wrong as they seemed to rub the callus remover that was on there gloves in with the lotion they massage with the legs with because both of our legs started BURNING. 4) then the next set of towels was so HOT it was like they pulled the towels out of the warmer and put them directly on our legs. 5) all of this led to a very disappointing Valentine's Day night because we were burning up. Both of us are still experiencing burning today and I'm expecting my leg skin to possibly peel as a result. ‍ never coming back here again. read more

Came here as a walk in. Greeted and seated not even 5 min waiting. Ladies we're so nice and welcoming. I ended up getting a pedicure for this visit almond one to be exact. The total was 65.00 plus 2 dollar for paying wit debit. My technician went a Lil above and beyond wit my son she made him feel very special which was so cool he enjoyed it ps he's only 1 lol recommend this place they do an amazing job worth the money read more

Their tools CANNOT be sterile! I went in for a mani/pedi yesterday and the lady nicked the side of my toe nail.. I woke up today with puss coming out of my toe nail!! I've been nicked in the same area a couple times in the passed and have never got an infection which leads me to believe that they are not sterilizing their tools as they say they are!! Aside from this it was a very rushed experience even though they weren't busy. They didn't even let the water fill up half way or let my feet soak so that my callus would remove. The 10 minute leg massage was not even 5 minutes and I didn't even get a chance to sit back and relax at any point. Absolutely not worth the price or experience! read more

First off i want to say this place did an amazing job on my manicure and pedicure but unfortunately the workers dont know how to communicate pricing. I told my nail lady heidi i wanted jell acrylic nails and she said ok so as i was going through the nail process i noticed she was using a blue light to dry my nails and she kept saying these nails are going to pop off instead of chipping and i couldn't really understand so i said ok. And after my nails were finished the total came out to $168 so i was talking to my friend that was also getting her nails done and i was like my nails are so expensive and her nail tech said yea because you got "gelets" and i said i dont even know what gelets are and the lady that did my toes told me to get a specific pedicure because its a good one so i said ok and it ended up being the most expensive one so my toes alone were $78. Very upset and will never be back i feel like I genuinely got scammed. read more

Personally, I found this to be one of the nicer nail salons in riverside. I decided to come in on a whim while I was shopping in Riverside Plaza and was pleasantly surprised! The main reason I gave this place 5 stars is the facility. It's very clean, nice and organized. Its a big salon with many manicurists so the wait time isn't too long, but I'd call in ahead just in case. The owner is very sweet and is always making sure clients are being taken care of. Mary did my nails and she did a really great job. She's very detail oriented and thoughtful. While she was shaping my nails I gave her some notes on how I wanted them and she was very accommodating. read more

Way over priced. I had acrylics on and had them removed and got a gel manicure. The lady literally pulled the acrylic off. Pulled one of my nails along with it. I kept telling her it hurts and she said "just a little" I asked if she could just soak them off and she didn't want to. She ended up doing a good job on my gel. Total came out to $47! Tried this place for the first time and I have mixed feelings about it. First off, a gel manicure is $30. While sitting in the chair she offers me "organic" gel polishes. Tells me it won't damage my real nails when removing it. I ask how much, she tells me $33. Hmmm I noticed the colors were way better than the non-organic colors. So of course I decided to go organic. He bring the box out and it's the same damn brand as the cheaper polish. I let him finish and notice there is no shine or luster to the polish. Immediate negative in my book. So I go to pay and the man tells me $1 to use my card! Oh heck no. I LOVE ChiChi Nails!! I've been here a few times for broken nail repairs and gel manicures. The environment and workers are always very welcoming and the place is really clean. I like to wear my nails naturally with gel polish. I've gotten two gel manicures from Jessica and she's absolutely amazing!! She takes her time with her work and is a perfectionist with shaping and painting my nails, which I love. She always asks me multiple times throughout shaping my nails if it is how I like it and I really appreciate that. I also really like how this salon soaks off gel polish, unlike other places that grind it off with the mechanical buffer tool. The pricing is also really affordable for the quality of work you get! I paid $30 for my gel manicure and the color lasts over 3 weeks for me without any polish chipping. I've also had great experiences with Larry repairing broken nails for me using powder to seal my nail back together. Overall I love this salon and it's my go to place! All the employees are welcoming and I've never had to wait more than 5 mins for a walk in, although now I always make appointments with Jessica. I've never had a bad experience here and would recommend it to everyone!! **UPDATE ChiChi Nails is still my go-to salon!! Their quality is unbeatable and they really treat you like a valued customer. The workers know me by name now and always treat me amazing when I come in. One time my manicure went past their closing hours but they didn't rush their work at all. All the employees happily waited for my manicure to be finished and my nail tech still did an amazing job. I've still never had a bad manicure or service from this place! I've tolerated this place for a while because there's a wonderful lady that does a phenomenal job with my pedicure, but as of late I can't deal with the lack of professionalism, communication and just the uneasy feeling of knowing I'm being talked about. The owner (wife) is very rude and is more interested in getting paid than delivering good customer service and a job well done. Time again, I witness her promise clients that they will be taken care of immediately and provide false time estimates and always push a higher priced service after being nicely told no. Aside from the experience, the technicians are rushed in their work and do not take feedback well. I often don't say anything when the shape is wrong, the polish feels thick, there's left over cuticle or anything else -- but I am so disappointed with the downhill trajectory of this establishment. If you're desperate and are okay with paying for a subpar job then this is the place to be. read more

Not very happy with my experience. I made an appointment for a pedicure and full set for 6pm and was confirmed by the woman on the phone that I was good to go. I show up about 10 minutes early and as soon as I walk in I'm asked what I needed and I informed the lady at the first station that I had an appointment for pedicure and full set at 6pm. She quickly says "No, We don't have time for that." As I stood there confused, she then told me to just sit down at one of the stations and then never helped me or said anything further. So I got up and walked out. She was very rude and this was my first time coming to this salon and because of her and her attitude I will not be giving this place another chance. I understand the circumstances with the pandemic, but she could have easily let me know what they could do and provided an approximate wait time and it would have been fine for me or a simple rescheduling would have sufficed. read more

I used to come here all the time and loved this place, but this last time will be my last time ever going there. First off the gentleman that did my fill would not stop moving and sniffling the entire time which led me to believe he was on some sort of substance. He was very rough and kept telling me I was fighting him when I literally was just relaxing not moving at all. I got a fill and my Nails are all crooked and still look like I need to get them done. He kept making comments about how I must be hungry which didn't make sense to me as I was literally sitting there just enjoying what I hoped to be a relaxing time. Then to top off the fat shaming he proceeds to tell me that I must be rich because I have a very nice wedding ring and then charges me double just for a fill with gel.
