Wow, I am reviewing a fast food restaurant. For a fast food restaurant and experience, however, it really is "as good as it gets." I normally eschew fast food for health reasons (and wanting to support local, independent businesses). However, I have fond memories of Chick-Fil-A from college, when I was first introduced to the chain. I was in Dallas for a few days and drove out to Allen to visit an old friend. We had planned to have lunch. She suggested Chick-Fil-A simply because she has two kids that would be accompanying us (one is around three and the other is ummm...the age when you still feed them those little rice puffs that kind of dissolve with minimal teeth/chewing). I applaud her decision to chose a family-friendly restaurant. While her kids are really well behaved, I'm sure that as a parent, it's nice to know that nobody will glare at one if he/she makes some noise. And there's a playland. I got a chicken tenders meal and it was just as a remembered it: hot, fried the right amount, with those amazing waffle fries. The chicken here is all white meat and has always seemed less scary than at other fast food places. Chick-Fil-A obviously values customer service. They bring your meal out to you. The staff offered to bring us more condiments if we needed them (even though they were out for self-service) and recommended a new sauce as well. They came and asked us if we wanted free refills (something I've never been asked at a fast food restaurant). The three year old loved the playland (and I loved watching her). The restaurant and bathrooms were spotless. If all fast food and chains were like this, maybe I'd frequent a couple more. Sadly, Chick-Fil-A is an almost nonexistent presence in my home of NYC. read more

This was one of the worst chicken noodle soups I have ever had! Campbell's canned soup is better. I expected more from Chick-Fil-A.. ESPECIALLY CHICKEN. There was a piece or two plus some shreds of chicken in the bottom of the bowl. Now let's talk about the frozen vegetables they used... HORRIBLE, I had to pick them out! Which left me with "some" noodles and broth. If they removed the frozen vegetables and added more chicken it would be a huge improvement. Worst Chick Fil a ever!!! I haven't been wanting to write a bad review thinking they'll fix the order next time but it keeps getting worse! First they ALWAYS forget my chick Fil a sauce ( like c'mon I can't eat my fries without it) and then second, third, fourth ... time they gave me regular chicken nuggets instead of grilled and #1 sandwich instead of grilled and then they gave me medium fries instead of large. I called and they apologized and was supposed to send some coupons in the mail and they never did. Oh and what made me write this review is today, I got 3 milkshakes and they tasted so bad. I think the milk they had was EXPIRED because even my mom tried it and threw it away. read more

Love the food! Like the chicken biscuits in the morning. Ask for cheese on them, they are better. I am not a fan of the tator tot thingies that accompany the breakfast meals. Same as always, this location is extremely crowded; but the staff are very active. They walk through the drive thru to make the waiting line faster. The manager walks around to pick up the tray for you. If you have time to spend. I recommend this location. read more

Appalled that the manager couldn't do anything about my free chick-fill- a Sandwhich receipt. Every chick-fill-a that I have been to has accept it with zero hesitation. (I would know, I used to be a faithful employee). The manager didn't even look at my receipt and preceded to ignore what I had to say. Never will I go here again. Never thought I'd get treated this way at a chick-fill-a since they are all about customer satisfaction. This is my favorite Chick-Fil-A location and woohoo! it's located in the town I live in! Everyone who works here is an absolute doll, so polite, very nice, and for the most part their service is always fast and accurate. I think other Chick-Fil-A stores in the Dallas area need to model after this one. Two thumbs up to the manager because obviously they are training their people right. I usually only go through the drive though and no matter if the workers are standing outside and taking orders, or taking your card and handing you your food they always have smiles on their faces and greeting you with Chick-Fil-A's signature line, "my pleasure." read more

Got off work and all I wanted for my birthday dinner were chicken strips and a cookies and cream milk shake. 80 mph and a few min later I place my order at the drive thru (9:51pm). They don't sound annoyed, they don't tell me they are done for the night, they don't rudely snap that they are out of chicken...no, they ask me if a 5 min wait is okay because they will cook the strips while I wait. I love Chick Fil A... I usually love the employees at Chick Fil A. Within the past year Chick Fil A has been nice enough to put directions illustrating how to maneuver the drive thru in the parking lot. A lot of us can read beyond a 2nd grade education here in Allen, Texas and utilize those rules for a more fluid drive thru experience especially during high traffic rush hours. Unfortunately, there are a lot of idiots that CANNOT read at a 2nd grade level still here in Allen, Texas. (How they afford to pay the mortgage, rent, and property taxes is beyond me) After following the posted directions, falling into the correct line to drive thru, there always seems to be that one idiot that cannot read or is just too hurried to drive around and get into the correct line like the rest of us. My last trip through the young man taking our orders outside stepped in front of my vehicle to wave on the uneducated idiot to break into line in front of me subsequently cementing this trip as my last to the 902 W McDermott Dr location in Allen, Texas. This particular Chick-Fil-A continues to have service issues if I use the drive through. Order a Chick-Fil-A sandwich without a pickle and you can pretty much be assured it won't get in the bag with the rest of your order. Yeah, I know...I should probably just start assuming the order isn't correct and check it thoroughly before leaving the drive through line from now on. I wish there was a better rating than "Excellent" for the service category. I love this location and it's employees. Everyone is so courteous and polite, and they go out of their way to make Chickfila more than just another fast food restaurant. I was in here on Saturday morning for breakfast and I asked my niece if she wanted Polynesian sauce with her chicken minis. An employee named Josh was within earshot, and I didn't even have a chance to get up before he had already gotten them for us, and made sure we were taken care of the whole visit. We've been eating here since moving to Allen. Like almost all C-F-A the service is friendly and efficient. The food is very consistent and popular with the youngest kids up through the adults. I've only visited Chick-Fil-A twice in my life because the food is just too expensive for what you get. Sure, the sandwiches are very good. But they're like $4 each. And the combos are a rip-off because you don't get many waffle fries with your order. Also, I wish they weren't so limited in the offerings for their deluxe chicken sandwiches. Where are the different cheeses, mushrooms, etc.? And why would you serve Coke Zero and Caffeine-Free Diet Coke, but not regular Diet Coke? There IS a difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke. I like chick fil a and I like the normal drive thru process. When they have the employees outside taking the orders mine is always WRONG. It's so disappointing to get home and you have someone else's order and what they ordered is literally the most disgusting things on the menu. Grilled nuggets? Yeah no thank you. I can make those bland things myself. So my husband had to drive all the way back. We asked for extra ketchup even when initially ordering. No ketchup so we asked the employee that gave us our food, young blonde girl with a ponytail. We said "thank you" and she was like "my pleasure" under her breath with the straightest face I've ever seen. Rude. Never interacted with a chick fil a employee so unhappy. Seriously. I used to like this location. Now i will only go when I don't see employees outside taking orders. Lines weren't even long so the regular drive thru would have sufficed. This location is AWFUL! Without a doubt the WORST Chick-Fil-A I've ever been to. If I could give it 0 stars, I would! I've lived in Allen for over a year and I've held off on giving them a bad review. I keep hoping their service & food quality would improve, but they're just a lost cause. They have no clue on how to prepare or serve food & drinks. Order a sweet tea, they give you unsweet, order well done nuggets and instead they serve you cold ones that taste like they've been sitting out for a while. Order a chicken sandwich with no pickles and what they do is remove the pickles from a sandwich that's already been made. The pickle taste remains on the bottom of the chicken. That's ridiculous! What's so hard about preparing a fresh one?!?! Don't order frosted coffees at this location! 9 out of 10 times I've had to send it back to get re-made cause the first one was watery & runny. They forget to put sauces requested in the bag, they forget your sides, their food is served lukewarm at best! I could go on and on and on, but if you're reading this, you get the point. Do yourself a favor and go to the one on Stacy Rd. or the one off 121 & Custer. You'll get way better service and food. read more
