I get off work typically rather late, and it's a 20 min drive to get here from my place, so to say that I go out of my way to eat here is an understatement. But time and time again I have been the last customer rolling thru the drive thru and these people are constantly on point. They're happy to serve, they're smiling, enjoying their job and not just the person at the window literally every staff member usually has a smile on their face. I'm a regular customer that is usually satisfied with the food but today I had two breakfast sandwiches. They did not taste good and I returned them and they gave me a hassle over exchanging them for two chicken biscuit sandwiches saying that they'll do it this time but not next time. It's okay, but below my standards for a chick fil a. (I've been to many across the country. This is in the bottom ten) let's move on to the pace. Chick-Fila is just awesome. When it comes to fast food they are second to none and this is the only fast food I will go out of my way to eat. . I had lunch recently here with a coworkers and as always they delivered as amazingly delicious product quickly and a for a reasonable price. The staff, again as always, were polite, friendly and very helpful. Despite the place being packed they processed customers quickly and efficiently. The only point of improvement that I can think of is that there appeared to be only one trash can on the inside of the building. I thought this a little odd . Nevertheless I will absolutely return. If you want to eat somewhere where obnoxious and obviously disgruntled staff mess up your order and then not only decline to apologize but smirk at you in triumph when you are forced to come back and ask again for the order you just paid for, then this is the place for you! Not nice people. Update. Normally I would complain to the manager before posting a negative review, but if they're actually laughing at you because you had to wait in line again at rush hour, with your kids in the back, then the manager obviously doesn't care. Long story short, the past 2 times I went there were so bad (and expensive!) that I'm just done. Ice cream machine was broken but took orders for shakes anyways?! Here's your melted shake. Do you want us to remake it? Well, you said the machine was broken, so how about not. Refund please. I took my grand girl here because she requested the place. I never eat fast food, a legal drug for sure, and if I did, I sure wouldn't visit a place whose CEO has such an affinity for bashing gay people. We were greeted by filth such as I have never seen in a place that is supposed to be checked routinely for cleanliness. Was the health inspector paid off? The floors were dirty, the bathroom was DISGUSTING and none of the tables were wiped clean. On my first visit they put cheese on my chicken sandwich and today, my second visit, they've messed up my order again. They're currently drive thru only so I had to go all the way back to the drive thru, but decided it was worth it today. They were so nonchalant and acted like I was inconveniencing them when I was told to park and wait. I live in West Asheville and work in North Asheville and actually find myself often wanting to come to this chick fil a because I love CFA, it has a great location and the inside is one of the nicest CFAs I've ever been to. Today I came in and was recognized by a staff member, I was welcomed and given exceptional service! The staff member went above and beyond to ensure my order was fulfilled and I'm not kidding when I say that my fries were literally overflowing. I wanted to give a shout out to an employee named OSHA at the Merriman Avenue Chick-Fil-A. My credit card slipped out of my hand while handing it to the attendant. It fell straight down and I was unable to open my door to retrieve it. The line was back to back with cars behind me. Like most CFA locations, puts others to shame, but somewhat sub-par for CFA standards. Had wrong order several times, always seem to be staff standing around while there are lines, and getting a refill takes an act of God or three acts of Congress. So I gotta say that Nance and I have been hearing a lot of buzz about how impeccable both the food and service at Chick-fil-A are, and we were just over the moon excited to try it for the first time for our date night last week... ... unfortunately things took a very strange turn. Both stars are for the service, which really deserves five stars. It was top notch, if not obsequious to the point of being a bit creepy. (Why are y'all getting so much pleasure about my food? I'm spoken for boys!) But The really weird thing that just ruined an otherwise lovely experience was the food. The entire menu is full of dead flesh. I mean hello, do they think we're zombies? It was so surreal and sad to be surrounded by dead bodies. Nance and I tried to tell people what they were eating, but no one seemed to notice. I don't know what's in the water there, but beware, they will try to feed you necrotizing flesh! This rating has nothing to do with the quality of the food at this particular Chick-fil-A it has to do with the quality of the service. When I go in there around 8 p.m. they seem to block off the nicer seats. Then big block off the bathroom for cleaning, and don't tend to reopen it. I don't understand what's going on there are they lazy? Why is it that they take that period of time not when the restaurant closes to clean their bathrooms? I can't believe I'm writing this about a chick-fil-a, and I hope the operator appreciates my criticism because I have came here twice before and it has not changed one bit. I feel like it has become worse. To start I only eat at this specific establishment when I'm in town and the first time I ate here the food was cold and I didn't like the McDonald's quality service they provide, which is why I don't go to McDonald's. Okay maybe I just got the last few sandwiches from the fryer, no big deal. Second time I ate here about a year later I get the exact same Mcdonald's service(I don't like having my name yelled out like a dog). So I make a formal professional complaint to the operator, whom must have not taken me very seriously. My criticism was free to help his establishment give a better quality service and in turn reap the benefits. So we fast forward about 6 months and once again I'm in Asheville. I try my luck once again but in disappointment I am obligated to write this ugly review as I'm sitting in this establishment. To start, as soon as I walk into the restaurant the place is empty and there is no line of cars in the drive thru. I look to where they have their food warmers and it filled to the brim. I mean sandwich bags and fries are falling onto the counter top and over to the floor. Who knows how long the food has been sitting there? So I start ordering my food and I see and before I even finish each order they're just grabbing food from the overfilled warmer. I get my food and I can tell just by looking that the fries are cold. I sit down and sure enough my entire order was cold as I predicted. I asked them kindly to get me fresh Frye's at the Least and they just grab another box of Frye's from the same warmer as the other fries. Also, I'm pretty sure that the temperature of their chicken has to be served or at least checked to make sure that it stays constant above 140 f. To end this note, I don't want my money back. I ate the food because I don't believe in waste. And I encourage patrons to eat elsewhere. The chic-fil-a in Hendersonville is the only chic-fil-a that has exceeded my expectations. read more
