If you are looking for farm to table, look no further. Posana has amazing farm to table food. I didn't love my main entree, but liked the other things and how fresh it was. Cheddar biscuits: must get these! I'm not a big cheese person, but this isn't too cheesy. The honey sea salt butter was really good. Chopped salad: if you're thinking about any other salads, get this chopped salad. So incredibly fresh and the vinaigrette was refreshing. Lamb gemelli pasta: this looked so good and I was expecting more thick sauce that is more flavorful like a bolognese, but unfortunately I didn't love it. I think the pasta was overcooked because the pasta was a little soft and almost soggy. The sauce didn't have much flavor so this was a miss for me. Friend or pho: pho spiced vodka was an interesting concept and I wanted to try it since I never heard of this. This drink was SPICYYYY. That spice hit.

My sister and I had a blast celebrating her birthday dinner here at Posana last weekend. Parker was an amazing and attentive server (we joked he gave us the Tom Holland vibes)! We absolutely LOVED the potato and leek soup special as well as the beet and kale salads to start. The hush puppies were the perfect crunch and consistency in the sauce. Lastly, we shared the half chicken and were so happy we did because we were stuffed from all the yummy food we devoured leading up to the main entrée. I highly recommend this amazing farm to table experience (sans gluten as a bonus)!

Family of 7 made reservations for Posana in downtown Asheville. The service and food was excellent. It is 100% gluten free for Celiacs and wheat allergies or intolerances. The food was excellent!! I was the only Celiac in our group. We had appetizers-fried green tomatoes and steak tartare. The best steak tartare of the vacation and we had 3 different ones and various restaurants. I had the short rib, others had the pork chop, New York strip steak, salmon, crab cake, Ceaser salad. I highly recommend Posana. You won't know it's gluten free! Gluten is in wheat, barley & rye and some other things used as thickeners.

I had an amazing experience at Posana while traveling for work. My server helped me navigate the menu without having to ask and told me his favorites along with dishes on the heavier/lighter side. I opted for the locals menu, a three course meal of select dishes from the main menu for $55 with optional wine pairing. I selected the kale salad with pumpkin seeds, currants, lemon, and olive oil to start. The kale was chopped small and dressed well. My main course was the lumache pasta in lemon cashew cream sauce with spinach, squash, and tomatoes. The squash and tomatoes were firm but not raw, adding nice texture to offset the pasta along with cashew crumbles. Lastly, was the hummingbird cheesecake, a honey cheesecake with toasted banana pineapple cake pieces. The dessert was very good and the presentation beautiful but I think I prefer a crust on my cheesecake. I found that everyone worked together like a well oiled machine. The hostess served my water, others cleared my plates and brought clean silverware every course, the manager served my main course without disruption, but my server was a constant presence checking in and making me feel taken care of. My reservation was at 5 and it did start to get busier so I recommend going before or after the dinner rush. Thank you, Posana!!

Stopped in here for dinner (on their extraaa dog-friendly patio; complete with doggy bowls, and a dog menu). I tried the burrata and the lumache- both were "good", but felt the burrata needed to be served with toasted bread (our foccacia was soggy and took away from the appetizer), and the lumache just had too much butternut squash (chunks AND cream, needed something additional to break up the flavor and the texture of the dish). The STAR of the show was the ricotta gnocchi (with lobster) and the chicken breast (with sun-dried tomato cream). The gnocchi was cooked perfectly, and paired excellent with the white cheddar cheese sauce and chunks of lobster. The flavors of the chicken dish went together so well- the tomato, cheese, garlic, thyme, and chile; and the chicken had crispy fried skin, but still was juicy. For dessert we ordered the apple crisp, which also left something to be longed for. The cake felt dense and dry, and should've been hot (especially since served with cold cinnamon ice cream). We sat on the outside heated patio, but the inside looked absolutely gorgeous, with a warm and cozy atmosphere, and tasteful decor. The service was friendly, and very accommodating to both us and our pup, and we would definitely return!

Hands down best meal in AVL for food, service, and ambiance! We went to celebrate an anniversary and were immediately congratulated by the hostess. Our waitress also acknowledged the anniversary and had a card for us that the whole staff had signed and a glass of champagne for each of us. They were so attentive and made our day so special! And the food was superb! We shared the pork belly with grits. The grits were creamy, but also had great texture. The pork belly had great flavor too. Then I had the chicken with the Parmesan risotto. The chicken was good as were the purées, but the risotto was the star! Honestly it was the best risotto I have had anywhere in NC...perfectly creamy and just heavenly. My husband had the short rib and polenta and the short rib was perfectly tender and the polenta was rich and creamy. 10/10...no notes! Thanks for making our day so special!

I was amazed at this gluten free restaurant!! The food was delicious and such high quality. My partner and I came in without a reservation on a Sunday evening and sat at the bar. Swany and Eli took great care of us! Such friendly service. I have so many food allergies (gluten dairy soy nut) and everything was SAFE for me which was like heaven for me. Grateful that this place exists!!

The food is unbelievably good! THe dishes were inventive, the food is extremely fresh and perfectly cooked. Everything we ordered was superb. Absolutely loved the burrata. It is served with housemade almond focaccia and sourwood honeyed strawberries. Our entrees - the cider brined pork chop and chicken with Parmesan risotto (see photo below) were excellent. Desert of olive oil pistachio cake and chocolate ganache tart were also exceptional. They have a great selection of wines and mocktails. The decor is elegant and fun. And lastly our server Tennille was knowledgeable and made some wonderful recommendations that enhanced our experience. I would come back to Asheville just to eat here again, it was that good.

I absolutely recommend this place! It was a fantastic experience. We chose our meals from the "locals menu" I had the Butternut Hushpuppies for my appetizer- delicious with a crisp crunch and tender inside with a cheese base. The main dish was pan seared salmon with a cheese polenta so good! I finished my meal with a Tahini Caramel Tiramisu which was so beautifully served and not overly sweet - you can eat the whole thing! There was a honeycomb crunch thing on top that was so good too. Our service was outstanding with Parker and Michael! It's a beautiful restaurant and classy! We were dressed casually and most others too but some dressed up for a special occasion. Go - you won't regret it!

Phenomenal ambiance, top notch and knowledgeable service (thanks Parker & Michael) and awesome food. We arrived before 6pm on a Saturday night so we ordered from the $50 per person 3 course menu plus I added the $25 wine pairing too. The chicken and rice soup starter had beautiful flavoring with a little bite to it so not bland at all. I paired it with the recommended Spanish abarino but was offered other wine if I wanted. Great full glass pours in each course. The chicken entree was excellent and I paired it with a French Chablis. For dessert I paired a Cabernet franc which was totally balanced with the spice of the de answer which was mouth watering.

This place seemed pretty understaffed, the waitress was working really hard and she was sweet but we were left to wait for long periods of time. We would have ordered dessert but didn't have another hour to spend here. They did start us with an amuse bouche that was tasty- I always love when restaurants do this. It was a little chip with a fresh avocado mixture on it. I also got a coconut mocktail that had a hint of orange in it and that was amazing. My friends and I split a couple of meals. The ricotta gnocchi was one of my favorite parts of the meal- it had little pieces of bacon and asparagus. We got the short rib and it was ok- the meat was a little fatty. The chopped salad was good, I liked the lime vinaigrette. We ordered the duck and it came out cold, sent it back and it was cold again.. the restaurant took care of it but that was a bit frustrating.

The restaurant's decor is eccentric - lots of taxidermied wildlife, cookbooks, and (from our vantage point in the loft) giant jars of Duke's mayonnaise - and the food is worth going back for.
