Rooster Sr. hearts Chicken Biscuits. No other fast food chain (McDonalds/Whataburger) has come even close to duplicating the masterpiece they serve here. Add a packet of honey and you've got one of the best breakfasts this side of steak and eggs. The rest of the food is just on par with competing fast food joints. They spruce it up with waffle fries and some swanky sauces; but in the end its still the same grilled or fried chicken sandwich you can get across the street at the Burger King. I also find it somewhat expensive for the portions especially the sandwiches. Regardless of my humble opinion, this place is always packed especially around lunchtime. They send out employees into the parking lot to take orders via wireless radios 40 yards before you see the standard drive-thru menu due to the amount of customers. This locations should have its own exit off loop 1! Breaking down the rating goes three stars for the food with an extra star because I'm truly impressed at the level of customer service this location offers. read more

Chic-fil-A is a verrrry well oiled machine and although I don't believe with their views & morals on certain things, I do like a good chicken sandwich and waffle fries. This location really impressed me during the lunch rush. There are 2 lines for the drive thru, both have ordering stations & both have windows that you get your food + drink from. During lunch, there are over 10 people standing at car windows taking orders so it was ready to go when you got to the window. I'm not sure what my favorite quick item to pick up here, the chicken sandwich, so basic but delicious with pickles and a buttered bun or the fresh squeezed, sweet as can be lemonade (diet & regular), waffles fries, the dipping sauces or the chicken biscuit minis for breakfast. Literally, took less than 10 minutes to get through an 8 car drive-thru line with 5 orders for coworkers and none were messed up - even the sauces were all in the correct bags! NOTE: this location does NOT have an indoor seating area. Only 2 massive drive thrus & a small outdoor seating area with a walk-up window to order from. I spotted this while walking from the Blanton Museum of Art. My friend from Turkey was with me and I pointed out to her that Chick-Fil-A was a southern staple from Atlanta ,GA and that she has to try it. From the get go, I realized this was a converted Checkers(or maybe Rallys). They only had outdoor seating and you could order at the window so if it's a rainy day, I wouldn't recommend coming here unless it was through the drive thru. I've been vegetarian for the last 3 years so I had two fries and my friend had the grilled chicken sandwich meal. We ordered sat down and within 5-10 minutes we had our food. Exactly what I expect out of a Chick-Fil-A. The food was standard, waffle fries along with Polynesian sauce and BBQ....hits the spot every time. My friend seemed to really like it. She said the fries were especially good. On a normal day I wouldn't go to Chick-Fil-A, but if you're looking for something quick then this is the place for you. The drive thru is usually fast but I find it quicker to park and order at the window. It sucks how there's no indoor seating so I only go here when the weather is good. There's a ton of birds that congregate here and are not afraid to get right next to your food. So you'll have to constantly shoo them away. The service here is great. All the employees are extremely patient and friendly. The spicy chicken sandwich is actually spicy here! At other locations, you don't even taste the spice so it's typically not worth paying extra. I'm pleasantly surprised. Everything thing else I've tried tastes the same as usual. This location has so many promos going on. There are always deals for UT students on the Hooked app! They even have their own chickfila app where they'll sometimes give treats. read more

Food is good like any other Chick-fil-a, however I recommend using the CFA app because you get so many rewards when order on the app at this location! The literal worst service ever. Cancel my breakfast order because I arrived at 10:35 and they stop serving at 10:30 and I wasn't there before 10:30. Even though I placed the order well before 10:30. They then proceed to tell me I can order a 10 count chick-fil-a minis instead as that's the only full day breakfast they serve.. when I had placed an order for 4 count minis with a free reward. The person I spoke to said "You can buy the 10 count minis and it doesn't really matter that we didn't give you the 4 count because it was freebie anyways". read more

The people are very nice but wow they had me pull up in the drive-through when they were out of the wrap that I originally wanted and I had to wait 25 minutes for a single chicken sandwich. They gave me my fries and drink but I spent 25 minutes blocking the drive-through lane and didn't even get so much as a 'sorry for your wait'. Came here today and have to admit I was disappointed with my Spicy chicken sandwich. It was oversalted and underspiced (underspicy). Normally, it's spicy enough that I have to eat it with Chickfila sauce. The lack of spice accentuated the taste of soggy sour pickles and led me to wonder if I should just get no pickles in the future, but I wonder if this was really due to the smaller portion of the chicken in the sandwich today. The chicken was about only three-quarters of what I usually receive, so yes, it was easily noticeable. This also makes me question if they are starting to discriminate against people who don't order sides. They had fast and good service, but today, they would have forgot my frosted lemonade if I had not reminded them. Normally, when I come here, I receive great and efficient service, experience very short lines, receive abundant sauce and on-point spicy chicken sandwiches. In the future, I may have to forego the spicy chicken sandwich altogether or look for an alternative elsewhere. read more

So this was the spot where I would always go to during freshman year. This Chick-fil-A was close and had a lot more variety than the ones on the UT campus. The manager is always running specials so you get more bang for your buck. Food: The waffle fries are soft with a hint of crispiness to it. The chickens are moderately juicy with their special crusting. There's really nothing special compared to all of the chains chicken in my opinion. At least their ice cream machine works. Drive through: It's very efficient with two lines and are always moving fast. Sometimes the machine is broken so the workers would stand outside to take your order which I honestly think makes the process faster. Overall I think it's a very nice and clean chick fil a, there's really no issues I can think of. There's obviously no WOW factor that really stands out when I think about this chain. read more

Great service as always, but the tomatoes were white, the bread was stale (we're talking days old stale) and the chicken was smaller than normal, not coming close to filling out the bun. They need to work on their quality control --not a sandwich I would've expected from chick fil-A. read more

I've never been to Chick-Fil-A so on our Texas vacation I made sure to try it out a few times. I love the chicken minis, and would order them over and over again because they were delicious. However, the regular chicken sandwich was kind of boring and I don't think I would order it again unless I added more toppings. My husband loved the spicy chicken sandwhich and wished we had more Chick-Fil-A's in Michigan. The staff were beyond friendly, they were outside in the rain, taking customer's orders. Even with how busy this place was, everyone was happy and had a smile on their face. Not one employee did we encounter seem miserable on the job. Decent fast food, glad I tried it. read more

I've had both good and bad days here. Usually, it's a good day (thankfully). The food itself is great, and the workers will usually do what it takes to make things right. I've had them forget my order so they gave me 2 vouchers for free breakfast entrees. Another time, the lady taking my order was having a bad day or something, as she was clearly annoyed with life. Yet another time, I applied a discount on my meal, but they didn't apply it. I asked them to apply it, so they said they would. Once I left, I realized they still didn't apply it. Ordering breakfast through the app has become much harder because if you don't get to the drive thru window by 10:30 to receive your order it gets cancelled even if you're there before 10:30. There were four engineers sitting here during lunch trying to figure out why this place is so damn popular. Here is my story. * During lunch rush, this place has incredible bandwidth. They have the brilliant idea of extending the queue size of their drive-thru by having employees take orders ahead of the drive-thru speaker. * Even inside, they're incredibly fast. My food was ready by the time I was done paying. * They have that little extra when it comes to service (at least during lunch). People come by and ask if they can take your trash. Also, I saw one employee take this lady's tray to her table for her. Was she old, handicapped, or had her hands full? No, but they still offered and I suppose people like that. * They have subtle comforting language. "Can I help the next *guest* please?" Engineer bryanb mentioned that they repeatedly said, "my pleasure." * I love their honey mustard BBQ sauce. And their food is decent. Again, I'm not a supertaster, so I defer to them. I did notice the male employees had the horn-rimmed (or similar) style glasses and short hair; it looked like they just came from the 1950's. C'mon, McFly! I get my money for nothing (as my job is meaningless) and my Chick-Fil-A for free (as we are close family friends with the owners of several of their stores in Orlando). You didn't know that you were just 1 degree from Chick-Fil-A franchise ownership, did you? It used to be THE highlight of going to the mall when I was growing up because, HELLO!, the mall used to be the only place one could GET Chick-Fil-A (in Texas, at least). And now? This Chick-fil-A has location going for it, but for my visit it was a little bit off. The seating is outdoor only, covered like a pergola to keep the sun off. But not the rain. The day of my visit it was pouring so we had to eat in the car. If you know that going in, I guess you can't complain. This particular Saturday morning they struggled to get our order correct. We ordered off the breakfast menu (like the #1 and the #4) and time was going by without an update or order filled. And it wasn't that busy. Later there was some mixup and one of our meals would not be ready for 5 more minutes (i.e. something wasn't in stock and had to be made). At this point, we just changed the order to something they had. If this scene was repeated I might score lower, but for only once, I feel that 3-stars is about right.
