Great chicken and great service! Came for a lunch and had fast service with tasty food.

    Oh Korean chicken

Inside was nice and clean everybody was so friendly service was very quick. My daughter and I both ordered the OG Korean chicken dang hot level of spice with the dirty fries . Both my daughter and I thought that everything was extremely flavorful. We will definitely be back nice portion size sizes really good.

I live and breathe for the buttermilk pie. That's all you need to know. Well, also, everything else is darn good too. Big fan of the chicken cobb salad as well as the original chicken sandwich. The food is always freshly prepared with lots of flavor and it kinda feels like you're in a real old school southern kitchen with every bite. We end up with leftovers for take home because the portions are generous. Good service. Good food. Big fan.

Rating: 4.1/5 [delivery] Wow, I forgot how massive these sandwiches are. They are definitely worth the price! Korean BBQ O.G. ($14.75): We chose the Dang Hot heat level, but we didn't really feel any heat. The burger was very saucy, so it was a bit messy to eat, but it was full of flavor. It was better than the first time we had it. Vodka Chicken Parm ($15.95) + Szechuan Fries ($4.15): We picked the Dang Hot heat level and it was the same as the Korean BBQ O.G. I thought the ciabatta bun would be hard, but it was actually soft. The flavors were delicious, and I loved the fresh arugula. The chicken stayed crispy and juicy even with all the sauces. The fries barely had any sauce and were pretty soggy so we had to air-fried them. The pulled hot chicken wasn't dry this time which was nice. However, we thought the Szechuan fries were much better the first time around. Two Deviled Eggs ($4.80): These were also better the first time we tried them. This time, they were just okay.

We recommend visiting Tumble 22 during happy hour on Mon-Fri between 4-6 PM for the best value. This Texas chicken joint serves spicy fried chicken and tasty sides at a reasonable price. Our favorites were the Lil' O.G. and the broccoli salad. Both the sandwich and tenders included sides, which we appreciated. We recommend clearly noting on the menu that entrees include sides to make ordering easier and faster. There is a small parking lot and a large outdoor seating area.

So Austin and I love it! Started as a food truck in Austin and now has a few locations. I frequented this Lake Austin location in high school while it was inhabited by the iconic Magnolia Cafe since the 70s and part of me didn't want to embrace the change but after getting the OG chicken sandwich, I'm a convert. It came with a VERY big, crispy and juicy chicken breast. They also have a smaller size if you're not that hungry. There are 6 spice levels and I got it "mo-hot" (3rd spice level) and it was spicy enough for me (and I love spice)! I ordered to go but this looks like a nice local hangout spot to grab some fried chicken and drinks. The gentleman at the to-go counter was very friendly. You can park and text the number on the sign and they'll bring it out to you though it was just as easy to go in and grab the order. The Sichuan fries looked good. I think I'll try the Korean sandwich next time.

QUALITY CHICKEN COOKED TO PERFECTION. GREAT PORTION SIZE (a real "Bang for your buck") and......Yummy, yummy, yummy!!! What more can I say?! Definitely our new "go to" spot for a casual dining, family friendly, experience. 6 stars from this mom of 3. 9 year old Jay Jay says "Way to go. He'll be back, because the skin was crispy and the chicken was moist". Special shout out to Gabriel the manager for his kind hospitality. Big hugs Y'all.....and see you soon. Finally, the location is great. It's just a 2 minute drive from our house in Westlake, and another 2 minutes to downtown. They have ample of "free parking" outside and if you sit on the patio, you can watch your car/vehicle. Safe area and clean atmosphere. A MUST GO TO IF YOU'RE COMING TO AUSTIN AND WANT A GREAT MEAL FAST. Thanks Tumble 22.......We'll be back!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

    Southern Chicken Sandwich Regular Mac-N-Cheese
    Dustin Y.

The food was amazing. Everything had a great flavor and was cooked to perfection. The spice levels were accurate compared to their advertising. The customer service was very good. The manager and servers were outside laughing and giving the customers complete hospitality. One of the best customer service I have experienced in Austin. There really wasn't any negatives to this experience and that is why this place will always be one of my favorites in town. The only negative about the experience is trying to find parking. It is best to go during odd hours because it will be a decent walk to get there!

Southern Chicken Sandwich - Mo Hot
    Nancy G.

I love coming to this location, their sandwiches are so good! Staff is always so friendly and considering how busy they always are we always get seated super quickly. The southern chicken sandwich offers a variety of spicy level options, Mo' Hot is my personal favorite if you like a kick of spicyness. The Mac and Cheese actually grew in me, at first it was alright but over time it just hit! The Lil OG sandwich is a good basic sandwich, not spicy at all. Overall great place to eat with friends and family, definitely recommend:)

This was the first meal we had after landing. I was referred to Tumble22 by a friend who was recommended by their friend. Anyways, walking into the restaurant, it's a smaller indoor place with a large patio for eating. I could imagine it being really nice when the weather gets cooler, but at 92 degrees outside, it was not for us. That being said, it's got a rustic/quirky design language and decor inside, with images of chickens and barn-esque things. Sitting down, we got to ordering. An OG sandwich and 3 boneless thighs for us, along with some sides: the broccoli salad and some ranch beans. The food came out really quickly, and it was fresh as hell. Shoutout to our server for bearing with us, because us foreigners can get annoying, I'm sure. Onto the taste. The fry was fantastic on this chicken, y'all. The sandwich came with pickles, slaw, and some sauce that was perfect. The crunch was crunching, and the juice was juicing. Great acidity from the slaw and pickles, and the richness of the chicken was fantastic. Textural flavor wonderland. Much to enjoy there. I also liked the thighs a lot. They were super tender (as they should be), and we got them a lil mo' hot, because I wanted to feel at least a little alive. Great cook as well and the breading was perfectly crisp and shattered in my mouth. Beans were pretty liquidy, but tasted great and porky. The standout side was the broccoli salad, though. It was super refreshing with the raisins and parmesan cheese. What a combo! If you're debating on sides, this is probably the one to get! What are you waiting for? Tumble22 must be the chicken for you!

Deviled eggs appetizer with a crispy bacon wedge

Looking for a quick meal while in Austin over the weekend and Tumble 22 gave us a chance to sample another Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. The crowd today was the hard working class, mainly men, that were more than capable of handling this very generously sized sandwiched. The huge portion of chicken requires compression in order to get your mouth around the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The wood framed building reminded me of a beach house. Our friendly waitress welcomed as a first time diners with a complimentary deviled eggs appetizer. We also followed up with OG Southern Nashville Hot chicken sandwich with bread and butter pickles, Duke's mayo, creamy slaw on a potato bun. The deviled eggs were good with a crispy bacon wedge. The OG Southern Nashville Hot chicken sandwich was good but not as flavorful as I had expected. The chicken was moist, slaw was tangy and the pickles had a good crisp crunch. Tumble 22 tautes itself as a good hot chicken stand and are true as advertised. The lunch crowd was packed with mainly big hungry working men. This clientele is very loyal. The sandwich and deviled eggs were good but just not memorable to me. It is hard to argue though with a crowded restaurant of happy eaters. Tumble 22 produces a good chicken sandwich.

    Close up of the sandwich

I've never actually gotten the sandwich here before but I did this one time to see how it all comes together. Usually I just go straight to the "Star of the Show" and don't bother myself with any distractions like bread or sides of any sort. But hey, this was a great experience. I can surely understand how folks come in for the sandwich all the time and love it. It may even be better than just chicken itself all the time because the sides + burger/sandwich construction lends itself to nicely balance the meal. Service was as good as you'd expect at a fast food chicken joint with good ol southern hospitality. Great and great. We came here during lunch time so it was a bit of a rush but not too much that the staff slowed down or our meals came out late. I will definitely be back here again when I can. Love me some hot chicken!

It's been amazing so see how far they have come! The owners, Sophie and Eric are genuinely the kindest and most hard working people I've met. The care and attention to detail they put in does not go unnoticed and is unmatched. The entire menu is incredible and every single dish is worth trying. The Kinda French quesadilla is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten in my entire life and the guacamousse sauce is You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches either (the Poulet Roti Baguette and the Parisian are my personal faves ) and of course the traditional Rotisserie chicken- don't skip on those potatoes either- they are SO good and really tie everything together. Not sure if all the burgers are always cooked well-done, but that's how ours were made (and was never asked if I wanted otherwise). Also ordered a side of fried plantains that came with a small cup of ketchup. They were harder than I was expecting, and not to salted. Next time I think I'd just order the fries. Waited at the window to order for several minutes while the guy took a phone call, then had a hard time hearing him take my order since he was still on his call and had his mask on (pandemic issues...and maybe this is where he asked how I wanted my burgers cooked?? Who knows, couldn't hear him!). Then it took awhile for the order to come out. By the time I got the food and back to our table, our friends had already purchased and eaten their food from other food trucks, so that was a bummer. Good option if you're in the food truck park. They were one of the few food trucks in this area that was open during the daytime. The majority of the other options are open later at night when the bar scene is crowded. The bad: The brisket sandwich tasted mostly of just BBQ sauce and the brisket was cut up in small weird chunks. There was melted orange cheese on it that was also unappetizing. We didn't want the caramelized onions so we asked for raw onions but the cashier/cook didn't speak English so the most we could communicate was "no onions." Also, the payment machine was all in Spanish (for selecting tip, signature, etc) so you better brush up on your Spanish if you're paying by credit card! There were cigarette butts on the ground and on the tables and a homeless person hanging out at the benches as well. I ordered fries at first but they were sold out. Last week I was on a break from keto, and my husband read my mind. He took me here as the first stop on a rainy Friday night date. I know they have good sandwiches, but they also have their "bait shop" schtick. They're not near any significant fishing spots, and I didn't see any evidence of bait, but whatever. Their sandwiches are good, so they can get away with it. While I ate my sandwich on the patio, we discussed the novelty nature of many Austin businesses, and which ones can hold up and which ones are pure hype. I ordered the Club sandwich. It's not a true triple-decker club, but it was the sandwich that had the best variety of fillings in my opinion. Everything you'd expect in a classic club, but easier to eat because it wasn't stacked absurdly tall like other clubs. The sourdough bread was very crispy, and the meats, cheese, and vegetables worked well inside. On the side I got potato salad which I like more than their other option, which was chips, but the potato salad wasn't anything special. Their patio was the perfect spot to enjoy a rainstorm. They have some glider chairs off to the side that are good for lounging on, but when it really started to rain we moved in to the center of the patio. I'm glad I got a chance to try Handsome Dan's. I doubt I'll be back anytime soon because huge sandwiches like this need to be an occasional treat for me, but if you're in the Springdale area looking for a satisfying meal, this is it!

Having enjoyed plenty of authentic Philly cheesesteaks over the years...many of them in Philadelphia itself...I approached this food truck with a healthy dose of skepticism. As soon as I arrived, I met Armand, who told me that he and his brother started the food truck about seven years ago. He was warm, personable, and genuinely Texas-friendly, which immediately set a positive tone for the experience. Ordering a cheesesteak is a simple three-step process: 1) Pick your cheese. 2) Choose your toppings. 3) Be polite and place your order. (I loved that part!) I ordered the cheesesteak with American cheese and grilled onions, along with a side of fries. Let me tell you...this sandwich completely exceeded my expectations! For a moment, I felt like I was back in Philly. The bread was soft, fresh, and flavorful. The steak was unbelievably tender and packed with flavor...so good that I couldn't stop talking about it. The portion size was generous enough for two people, so I ended up sharing half with the hubs. Needless to say, R&B's Steak and Fries turned this cheesesteak skeptic into a believer.
