There is just something "off" with this location. It's the only one around, so maybe it just needs some competition.... fries weren't salted, they forgot the kids toy with our meal, and while very fast and pleasant, they staff doesn't do the extras like the location we frequent at home - I'm sure it's because of the location near HHI, but at home, the manager is always walking around and talking to regulars, they have high chairs lined up with placemats and sanitizing wipes so they're easy to grab when your hands are full w kid stuff, employees will grab your tray and trash if they see you're done, and will offer to grab refills for you.... it's borderline a sit down restaurant in the way they treat customers. I had a conference lunch today and I ordered catering from Chick-fil-A in Bluffton. Not only was the food great but it was also delivered early. The guy that brought our food was awesome. When I went to sign, there was no place for a tip. When I questioned why, he said that they don't take tips and it was pleasure to serve me. Did I mention that we are located on Hilton Head? The whole experience was a delight and we will definitely be ordering from them again. Thank you so much! read more

Normally, I would say every Chick-Fil-A deserves five stars; however, there were several improvements I'd love to see this store make before it can meet the five star Chick-Fil-A rating. When we got there around 12:30, there was quite a line (which we expected! Can't penalize them for a lunch rush!). However, they had no good place to keep the line, so the line either blocked the entire condiment bar (an issue) or went back and blocked the entrance to the store and the dining room (also an issue.) In addition, the restrooms were not clean, and my friend's Superfood Salad didn't come with the dressing that normally comes on it. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Chick-Fil-A, but this Chick-Fil-A needs to step up its game to match the super high quality that is Chick-Fil-A. read more

We are HUGE Chick-fil-A fans! But this one, did not meet Chick-fil-A standards. We stopped here on our way out of town for breakfast and it was no busier than our local Chick-fil-A at any given time. My son ordered a scrambler burrito and was given a bowl. He politely asked the gentleman to exchange it, who happened to be the manager. He took the bowl from my son and slung it into the trash and was rude about exchanging it. When he gave my son the correct entree my son thanked him and he sarcastically replied "my pleasure". I would think being a resort town, they would be prepared for Saturday ins and outs of the tourist. I also needed to get some creamer for my coffee and my husband stood at the counter for 4-5 mins before anyone even looked his way to hand him the creamer. Our first actual dining experience here since the Bluffton location reopened last week, although it was our third try. On the first try, last Thursday afternoon, we could not get into the parking lot due to the crowds. (Schools were closed due to Hurricane Florence.) On the second try, last Thursday evening, we arrived at 7:15 and they had closed at 7:00 due to Hurricane Florence. Tonight, we finally got in the door, but were disappointed to find service very slow, even though the number of people to be served was not large when we arrived. There were quite a few mostly young employees, but it was unclear who was in charge, and a lot of the young employees seemed to be running around rather than taking orders. It took an inordinately long time for our order to be taken. As a further comment, management seems to have taken a page from the airline playbook and squeezed more seats into the space available. The spacing of the booths makes it very difficult for adults, and especially older folks, to get in and out of the seats without some difficulty. The food was delivered as ordered, and was fine, and the employees polite as expected in Chick-fil-A We have been patrons of this location for more than 10 years, but overall our first visit to the "new" facility was disappointing. read more

This is the worst Chick-fil-A I have ever visited. We went to the drive through this evening and the line didn't even seem crowded, in any normal CFA it would have taken 15 minute tops. FORTY minutes later we finally got our food. Something is wrong with the positioning of the ordering stations, not 100% sure. Any request I have, no matter how asinine, is answered "my pleasure". As with any chick fil a, the food is always perfect. Even the less popular items are fresh. This is the most disgusting chic fil a I have ever visited. I have kids and we do lots of road trips so we eat at chic fil a often and we have been to quite a few around the southeast and I've gotten used to being able to count on them as a clean place to eat and you know the employees will friendly and helpful. Unfortunetly, this is not the case with this location. There was trash all over the floor of this location. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting with no hand soap OR hand sanitizer. The tables were all grimy and had not been wiped down, the same with the high chairs. My husband came out of the men's room and said it was equally as filthy as the women's and it smelled disgusting. When we ordered at the counter there were spills all over the counter like the fountain drink machines were leaking. We watched employees standing around doing nothing while a long line formed. A terrible location, do not eat here. The filth I saw tells me they don't keep a clean establishment. My husband told the manager about the bathroom and he didn't apologize or offer to get them cleaned up, he just said "oh I wasn't aware of that." Visited for breakfast while out of town for a Marriage Conference. Upon receiving our breakfast order, unwrapped my chicken biscuit to find a very thin flat biscuit. Because my family LOVES Chick-fil-A and chooses to visit one in each city we are in, I expected nothing less than a smiling face and a courtesy apology for any dissapointment I may have had in the quality of my order. Instead I received an ok, eye roll, and a slamming my biscuit into trash can by the impolite cashier. She conveniently took off her name tag after giving me the new biscuit. This is the WORST chick-fil-a I have ever been to. I had to repeat my order 3 times and the cashier still got it wrong. Then she got my friends order wrong. When she asked for my name I spelled it out for her slowly and she said "oops I spelled that wrong but it's okay" first off, you NEVER say that to a customer ever , and second it's not okay. Also, my macaroni and cheese was burnt , and the manager Mitchell gave me attitude when I asked for a new one. My fries were also old. I work for another chick-fil-a and I have never seen customer service so bad in my life. Not impressed. Wow. I have NEVER been to a worse Chick-fil-a! We placed our order at 12:30pm and after going up to the counter after waiting 20 minutes, finally got food 30 minutes after we placed our order! It seemed very busy, but I've been in plenty of Chick-fil-a's that were equally as busy, but never the chaos that we experienced at this location today, or the ridiculous wait for fast food.
