Moe's USED to be a lunch joint we'd frequent because it HAD fairly reliable food with decent taste. Well, things change, and for this restaurant unfortunately for the worse. They made some changes. The place was remodeled, with the obvious intention of lowering costs. The service area replaced its soft drink dispenser which dramatically limited its offerings. Tortilla chips which were once flavorful are now bland and lifeless. The restaurant's lively atmosphere is now stark and bare. Adding to the change, ceiling panels are hanging down, and the restaurant is filthy. Not again. read more

Went to Moe's on Feb 23rd with a group looking for some meat-free healthier options. My Friends got bowls or tacos, I got a veggie burrito. It was delicious! They make it for you with whatever you want inside. The fajita-style peppers, onions, and cilantro rice were great, then I loaded on a few more options. The complementary salsa bar was a treat with lots of choices. Mild to hot tomato-based salsas plus some sour cream ones. I didn't try the sour cream ones but the tomato sales were great, loves the green tomatillo one. The manager of the store was helping behind the counter and made us feel welcome. The store was very clean and tidy with plenty of seating. The space would accommodate a very large group. Great service, and the cashier even helped me with the rewards app and gave me a quick benefit review. I will definitely be back! read more

Food has always been great at the Bluffton location, but cleanliness of the dining room was pretty bad on the last visit. 4 people working behind the counter, 3 people dining and 2 folks behind us for takeout and there was food on the floor and most tables were dirty. So over the years I've eaten at Moe's probably enough that I've put a couple of managers' kids through college. That's to say that I obviously eat there a lot. My review has less to do with the quality or taste, but to the recent removal of key ingredients from the menu. I'm not sure if this is a location or franchise-wide decision, or if it is a corporate change. Needless to say, this location no longer offers pork, romaine lettuce, black olives, or cucumber as options. Not sure if it's a cost issue/supply chain problem, but given at least two of those are main staples of my meal choices, I guess I'll no longer be eating at Moe's. If they get rid of any more options, they might have to just change their name to Chipotle. read more

The food is great, however, the service in the evening (teenagers) is not great. I try to go during the day when the manager and the full-time employees are working to ensure that my food is prepared the way it should be. One evening I made the mistake of going in to get something for my daughter and knew I was in trouble when NO ONE SAID, " welcome to Moe's" , a required job duty! The young man behind the counter seemed annoyed that I was even there and proceeded to continue his conversation with his female coworker while I was making my choices for the burrito I was having made ~ let's just say I went home with a "sour cream burrito" !!! Took the family out to Moe's and it was a long waiting line on a Sunday and the staff behind the glass was impatient. Had never been there before so needed to read the menu. Staff rudely threw a burrito together and I do mean "threw" and could not have been more clear is letting me know he did not want to wait of any of us. Am I about to go back? NEVER. The food was mediocre if it had not been for the extra hot salsa to drown the taste of salt and grease, it would have been totally inedible. We love Mexican and South American food and it is hard to find here in the low country. I had little awareness of how much I would miss this cuisine once I moved here. Big disappointment. My family's absolute favorite restaurant, honestly think we come here a little to much, but we don't care. The employees are all so polite, they always welcome anyone who comes through the door with "Welcome to Moe's!". We've been coming here a lot during this whole Covid-19 pandemic in support of our favorite restaurant. Adam the the owner is a very nice man and personally brought our food to our table after my wife had our first child. Jose the manager is such an awesome guy. At the last Moe's I used to frequent, I could get a burrito bowl with the rice substituted for romaine lettuce, and I was still given the Moe's Monday deal, which was $5.00 (plus tax) and included chips, salsa, and guacamole.. The employees at that Moe's were friendly because they recognized me as a regular customer. This Moe's has its Monday deal set at $7.00 instead of $5.00, meaning you hardly save any money on even the top-tier burritos. The employees at this Moe's told me that my meal was no longer a burrito bowl, but a salad, meaning it didn't qualify for the Moe's Monday deal. Guacamole, chips, and salsa would be extra instead of included, so I didn't get them. I walked out after paying $3.00 more for significantly less food. read more

At the front door, I was greeted by the weakest ass "welcome to moe's" I've ever heard. It's amazing how that hokey little greeting actually works.....you come to expect it. I never thought I could dislike a place so much, we came half hour before they were closing and the employees were being so rude and rushing us, then 9pm came and they started cleaning up around us and cursing while we were eating! To top it off their food is just horrible!!! I'm glad chipotle just opened up at tanger 1 outlets... Food tasted good BUT I have never felt so unwelcome in a fast food joint. I'm from California and I've been to many places like Moe's but I was still new to this place. We came here for lunch and the "welcome to moes" was extremely monotoned and their expressions were of "I dont want to be here". We ordered and got to the checkout where the guy asked me a question which I miss heard and interpreted as "what's in the bowl" I started naming off things. To which the cashier slumped his head and rolled his eyes and asked "what meat". Fresh lemon available for drinks, fresh cilantro & fresh jalapeños available for meals, the soda machine can make an infinite number of custom soda combinations. Free chips that are made on site daily. The people who work there are friendly. You can always get a table or booth. The one on Malphrus Road is locally owned. They give discounts for military ID. They have $5 burrito night. They have kids eat free nights. They have loyalty cards. They contribute a ton of money to the local economy and are great corporate citizens. Moe's in Beaufort located in the town center is a great place to grab a quick bite in or take-out. The staff is always friendly and provides exceptional service! The food is good and provides healthier options if you like or if you want to indulge you certainly can. My favorite is the Homewrecker with steak and blackbeans. I love the Coca-Cola machine, it provides great options for your beverage of choice. If you are dining in, I enjoy the art work of the look-alike celebs or the flat screen TVs with usually news or sports. Can't wait to go back and grab my usual spot by the salsa bar and here that all to familiar greeting "Welcome to Moe's." read more
