I stopped in Chick-fil-A for 3rd time Saturday. Wasn't impressed when it 1st opened but tried it again months later. Girlfriends Kid wanted it, I don't understand why it's so busy? Always tons of cars, long lines for what a chicken sandwich? Nothing special and I guess because its the only one in 30 miles people try it. I think Wendy's-Popeye's-KFC are much better. I never understood the hype until I tried the chic-fil-a deluxe sandwich. It was amazing! The chicken nuggets looked so good. The cashier wasn't stingy with the sauce, which was a nice change from other fast food chains. The chic-fil-a sauce was so good- like a mix of honey mustard and bbq sauce. In all fairness, I have never visited a Chick-Fil-A. The most important woman in my life (my mother), however, went for the first time last week and came home so effusively praising the place that I feel compelled to detail how happy they made a 70-year-old woman who never eats fast food. After getting a plastic card in the mail from Chick-Fil-A for a free chicken salad, worth more than $7, Mama tentatively headed out. She admits the sight of the lines at the double-drive-through nearly deterred her, but she parked and walked in, where she was greeted immediately with a smile by an employee behind the counter. She handed over the card and said, "I don't know what to do! I've never been here before!" That was all it took for several employees to come over and make suggestions, explain how the food is made, and describe ingredients and where they come from. Mama loves her free-range, organic, local food, and she was much assuaged by the assurance that Chick-Fil-A uses only cage-free eggs and has completely eliminated antibiotic usage. After much gentle, patient clarification, Mama was recommended the grilled market salad, which along with actual romaine lettuce, blue cheese, cabbage, carrots, blueberries, apples, and strawberries, was packed with loads of tender, fresh, glistening grilled chicken. Loads. She was delighted with the salad, of course. But what was even more delightful was the treatment she received by each employee she interacted with--all were smiling, happy, indulgent, eager to help. I also ordered a market salad with chick-n-strips with balsamic vinaigrette and they gave me an italian dressing. They also did not put the chick-n-strips they put a different style of chicken. This place is immaculately clean, the service from their workers is better than the service at most restaurants, and they're incredibly hospitable and kind. They come around and clear your trays after delivering them to you, and even offer you free refills. I also like that they offer a grilled chicken wrap which is low in calories. I came to chick-fil-A from out of town and saw some things that were very alarming. While they have a quick system for their drive thru... some of the questions and responses we received were quite concerning. 1. I tell them I'm paying via cash and was instructed to drive forward. Another staff member takes my money and then asks me if I wanted my change. I told him yes because, I didn't know not getting your change was an option in a drive thru service. He walks to his booth with my money and when we drove up to his booth and I still had to ask for my change before it was given to me 2. When we drove up to the window to retrieve our order, I checked the bag and noticed that there was no ketchup for the two orders of fries. I asked for ketchup and was only given one packet. I asked for another and the expression on both staff faces indicated that my request was of some bother to them. If there is a fee for ketchup, they could have told me that and I would have used the same change that the staff member was resistant in returning to me, to pay for it. As I drove off, I noticed that part of my order was incorrect. It's great that you are hiring young kids but they need seriously work on their customer service skills! read more

So ordered a salad with extra dressing and they said they were not allowed to give extra dressing because they were running low, I offered to pay for it and still they said no. So because of their fault of not ordering properly I could not get the meal I wanted. So disappointed and dissatisfied with my visit today. We have so many restaurants around here and it's hard enough to get in there with the traffic they should do better! I don't eat much fast food, but wanted to try this since people seem to go so crazy for it. The drive-thru was very busy, one of the newer systems where there are two order bays, and then the cars file into one line to pull up to the window. Service was courteous and polite, but my order was completely wrong. I ordered a regular chicken sandwich meal and a chicken strips meal. I was rushed through the busy drive thru line and when I got to my friend's house, we wound up with two spicy chicken sandwiches and one order of fries. I know; I should have checked the bag before pulling away, but the line was so long I didn't want to take too much time. Plus, my receipt was correct, so I didn't bother...but clearly, I should have. Still. The chicken sandwiches were okay...not any better or worse than any other fast food chicken sandwich I've had. As I said, I don't eat much fast food, but from my experience, I think Arby's chicken sandwiches are better. Fries were good, wish we hadn't had to share. The best thing I had was their sweet tea. Chick-fil-A: Good Food, Disappointing Ethics Our 3 year old grandson's favorite place for the lunch for the last year has been Chick-fil-A in Brookfield, CT. He enjoyed the chicken nuggets and he loved playing in the enclosed indoor playground. We felt the food was of decent quality, the service was excellent and the playground area appeared to be safe. All of this changed on Sept 24. While in the playground he fell and suffered a deep gash just above his left eye. The manager on duty provided a first aid kit and called EMS, while a friendly off duty nurse was able to stop the bleeding. The EMS team examined him for concussion symptoms (none) and rather than transport him with their vehicle and cause additional emotional strain, they advised us to take him to the Emergency Room at Danbury Hospital. Once there he was again checked over and the gash was treated with a bonding substance rather than stitches which would have been more painful. For the next month the wound remained covered by a large bandage; he still has a small scar which we hope will fade over time. Chick-fil-A prides itself on having a strong moral and ethical brand. Much to our surprise and that of many others, the corporate brain trust determined that in no way was their restaurant responsible for the accident. Maybe they believe the gash was self inflicted by a a 3 year old child. Nevertheless, the fact is that he exited the playground bleeding and crying, and when asked at the hospital what happened he knew he fell while using the playground. Now when asked where he wants to have lunch, his response is "not Chick-fil-A". As grandparents our only concern at the restaurant was to control the bleeding and crying and then transport him to the hospital. It never occurred to us to ask for names of the people who may have witnessed his fall. While we will never set foot in any Chick-fil-A again, each must make his/her own decision. But here is a word of caution if you allow any child to utilize the playground - it may not be as safe as you might believe, and be sure to record the child's play time, just in case. read more

Being a Chick-fil-a fan for 30+ years means I know what to expect. Fresh food and excellent service! We visited on opening day and had the opportunity to meet the owner, a few members from other stores and some city officials. Aside from all the hoopla we also got to have breakfast. My husband eats the spicy chicken sandwich no matter what time of day. It's his favorite! He was very pleased with it! I tried the sausage egg biscuit and it was really good. I have read a few reviews from other folks, one mentioning traffic and one mentioning a mixup on their order. I just want to add that the traffic lights were addressed prior to opening and the city chose to wait thinking it would not be an issue. I expect that to be remedied in the future. As far as the mixup, they have only been open for a couple weeks and are overwhelmed I'm sure. Give them a break. The food is good. There are several options and their customer service is by far the best of all fast food restaurants. We are happy they are here! Best of luck! read more

First off, I am giving this a 4 star compared to fast food places not to restaurants overall. I don't eat at too many of the traditional fast food pink slime burger joints anymore but a nice chicken sandwich did call out to me the other day so I stopped by the new Brookfield location. Going through the two lane drive up was easy and quick considering the number of cars in line. Order was correct I got the #2 combo, basically fried chicken sandwich plus cheese lettuce and tomato with chips and drink. The bun was rather typical for fast food burger place, veggies were nice and fresh, the chicken was a real chicken breast not the particle board you get at a lot of places. The fries are waffle style which is a nice break and very tasty. I try not to make this kind of food a regular part of my diet but if I'm ever in need of a quick fast food fix this place will now be on my list. read more

I try straying away from reviewing and eating at fast food joints, but since Chick-fil-A just opened five minutes away from my house and everybody and their brother was talking about it, I caved. First off, physically getting to the parking lot was a train wreck in itself. I was driving up Federal road, so ultimately I'd have to turn left into the parking lot for Chick-fil-A when the time came. That wasn't happening. The left lane was so congested and backed up, that only one car seemed to be taking a left into the parking lot every green light. I didn't want to wait that long, remembered I had legs, pulled into a different lot on the left to avoid all of the frustration, and ended up walking from there. I don't know if I can totally place the blame on Chick-fil-A for this, but backing up traffic on a main road just for a fast food joint? That's nuts. I got to the door and had to wait another 10 minutes or so, which was fine since I've only been to a Chick-fil-A once prior and honestly had no idea what I'd be in the mood for. Once I got to the front to place my order, my cashier was super friendly and even introduced himself to me by name. I ended up with the spicy chicken deluxe with bacon, along with waffle fries, since I figured I'd get the whole experience. The restaurant was packed, so I got it to-go and had to wait in between the seating area and the cashiers for someone to come out and give me my food. I really didn't wait long either, maybe about 5-10 minutes? The sandwich was solid and chicken was especially spicy, which is a plus on my end. The fries were good, but thought they were a little to salty for my taste. Other than that, I thought Chick-fil-A was decent. I'm curious how their breakfast is, but I probably won't be stopping in that often due to it being a fast food chain. read more

4 stars compared to other Fast-food places. Cannot go wrong with the chicken - it requires no introduction or comment. I am keeping politics out of the review as that would not really be fair to the workers here. They train their people very well. You will never get service like this at a fast food place. They bring your food to your table if you are dining in. I have had the same person bring me my order twice - she pronounces my name Zatch as in Hatch or Patch (I am sure they type it in the system as Zach). "Zatch.. Zatch..." Amusing. But on a serious note, although its nothing like the legendary stories about Starbucks, I have seen them walking around looking for people, saying the strangest names: "Falala... Falala... Dashin... Dashin..." Brookfield just isn't that multicultural. If you ask for coffee, some go out of their way to make it for you. Others point you to the condiments bar. It should be the same - one or the other- to better manage expectations. The manager runs the place well and seems to know many of his customers well. read more

This Chick-fil-A was exceptional. Xavier and Kyle made our trip special. They continued with the playful banter and gave us excellent service. When we were sitting at the table their mans asked us if he could get us any sauces or straws-that we could get easily ourselves. At the end he also brought our trash away for us. Oh Chick fil A I could eat it 7 times a day... it's what you would expect from chick fil a. Nice people amazing service and great food in a clean nice family atmosphere. The spicy chicken sandwitch is great and the fries and Mac and cheese are great aswell. Sauces depending on mood are cool especially the chick fil a sauce and zesty buffalo sauce. The reason I give it 4 stores is due to the fact that after eating chick fil a my stomach flips. It's not like a chance thing either. It's guaranteed every time I eat chick fil a (I eat it often regardless of consequences and it happens EVERY TIME!) it's not even like it hits me later in the night or the next morning. I mean by the time I drive home I'm running to the bathroom and my stomach is upset for a while into the day afterwards. Is it worth it most of the time yes it is. Such a great fan of this place. Although Chick-Fil-A has been around for some time, this is literally the first one i have ever been to and after having been exposed to the Wendy's version this is really a blessing. Juicy and flavorful chicken that has been moist 21 times out of the 22 i went which is good since i like consistency. Since it opened it has gone downhill. We went this past Wednesday in the afternoon and decided right then it would be our last visit. It wasn't busy. The tables were filthy, one was lopsided, greasy fingerprints on booth the walls, ketchup on the glass. The service was slow, nothing like when we usually visit on Saturdays. The past 6 times they managed to get my husband's order wrong and now we won't be returning. Shape up. You have good food but that does not mean we don't care about service and cleanliness.
