The atmosphere will never be as real or genuine compared to a Chick-fil-a down south. The workers obviously have a script they follow and the kindness isn't genuine, you know they're made to say "my pleasure". Just be nice in general. Needed a Zaxby's or ChickfilA in the area, finally got a CfA! No casual visits here, the store didn't invest in the leading green arrow upgrade to the entrance for the Northbound side. We give up on more than half our attempts to visit and dine. Parking lot is cramped with close calls for fights and collisions to get into the limited parking spaces. Watch for kids darting out from between cars. Inside, there is a line to order. Menu is kind of small and high up on the wall, it takes a while to pan the offers and figure out the selections. Then off to your table to await delivery of your food. Sandwiches are pretty good. Wife enjoys her salads. Chicken strips are good, but the sauces are a bit lackluster. Waffle fries taste reasonably healthy, but don't have cravey wild flavor. Ordered a wrap on my most recent visit, was disappointed with it's size and reduced value. Probably best left for a late evening snack, beyond the crowd. Staff is friendly and hard working. Usually tables are clean and always manage to find one no matter how crowded. Closed on Sundays. Not cheap, but if you want pretty healthy food, healthy serving quantities and food that isn't salted to create flavor out of nothing, it's a safe haven. read more

I've been hooked on Chick Fil a ever since I was a kid, but I could only get it when I visited family down south. Now it's up here. Best damned fast food chicken there is. Food is tasty, people are nice, and as far as I can tell don't seem like they are putting on a complete show of it. They even bring your food to your table. I cannot say enough good things about this location! The staff is always exceptionally friendly, never letting the smiles slip from their faces. This is the type of restaurant I can come into on a bad day, and leave with a smile on my face. The food is always delivered warm and fresh, whether it's eat-in or take-out. Just picked up my food and when I got home I noticed they had forgotten my 4 piece chicken tenders which really was disappointing so I called them to let them know, they told me that they could either give me credit for next time or I can just pick them up which isn't a big deal so my girlfriend decided to just pick them up so I told the lady that she's on her way to pick them up and mind you we live about 10 min away which would be plenty of time to fry up some tenders I know this because I work in the food industry myself so I get a message from my girlfriend saying she got there and the tenders weren't even ready apparently they had given them to a drive thru customer instead after waiting 10 min they realiZed they have the tenders away and had to throw another order in. I went last week for the first time since it opened in October. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fast food. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. It was fresh, spicy enough to give a kick but not to make your eyes water, and perfectly cooked to balance the crispy and the meaty. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. Even the buns would taste good by themselves. The cole slaw is a must-have. I've never had such good slaw in fast food. Perfectly flavored, fresh, and light. My only complaints are that they confused my order at first, giving me the standard sandwich, fries, and coke meal even though I ordered cole slaw. They couldn't take back any food, so I was left with an extra box of fries, at least. The waffle fries were also slightly undercooked or they would have been fantastic as well. I also simply can't give a 5 to an institution that has to comment on how "wrong" gay marriage is. :P P.S. I went at 9 pm on a Friday night, which is why I am not complaining about the traffic and long lines. Go extra early or extra late to beat the rush. I second all the reviews that complain about the traffic on Federal Road. You just can't make a left into the parking lot during rush hour. read more

Very nicely prepared sandwiches presented in a way that actually looks like they're advertised not like at McDonald's or Burger King where you get a smashed, uneven burger. The chicken sandwich was presented in a box with a paper strap around it and it looked pretty as a picture and tasted good too. I can remember the last time I had chick fil a like it was yesterday. It was midnight and I had just landed in Jacksonville Florida, and I was hungry. The humid air consisting of the remnants of a recent thunderstorm and stale cigarettes filed the cabin of my rented ford fusion, and as I pulled onto the main drag of old J-Ville, a new smell perforated my nostrils. It's a unique scent. One of finely crafted artisinal spices, honey, and pickles. It was chick fil a, and I was gonna hit that joint up. "I'm getting two" I actually said out loud. A business traveler knows a unique type of loneliness, one that only a chicken breast, crushed ice, and waffle fry can fill. And as I sat there in the parking lot of that Jacksonville chick fil a, reminding myself that I didn't actually need the second sandwich... I ate it anyway, and I felt like I was home. This is the chick fil a I know and love, and I'm happy that my fellow new englanders can finally experience the special bond that I have with this franchise. read more

Best place ever!!!!!!!!! This is officially the first Chick-fil-A in Connecticut and New England. I had went for the first four days of opening. They are unfortunately close on Sundays but then again it is good for all employees. Amazing lemonade, amazing service would waiters going around asking for refills. The chicken deluxe sandwich is one of the best lunch and dinner items on the list. They do have a variety of sauces. The waffle fries were also just amazing as they were not to Crisp and not too soft but we're just perfectly cooked. Many sauces go with this including the Chick-fil-A sauce, honey mustard, and of course Hienz. Now the wait was of course at the time which was opening a Long line but it was very very very very quick. The drive-through also is very convenient with two drive-through menus even though you must merge it still goes very quickly. For breakfast I had to Chick-fil-A minis which were just out of this world also. The night before which was opening night we had gotten a free coupon to try either the Chick-fil-A minis or a breakfast sandwich. I chose the Chick-fil-A minis which were just once again amazing as they were coated with a honey wrong with a little slice of chicken. Overall this is a huge hit. Even though it is two or three weeks past the opening, it is still very Merry very popular. The Danbury fair mall one is opening I believe in the next week or two. Hopefully the traffic will spread out between the two restaurants. I highly recommend this test food chain as you feel like you are being served in a Real restaurant read more
