I've only ever dropped in the drive thru here when in the area. Chuck-fil-a has always had staff taking the orders before hand and food ready by window. Seamless process each time i happen to be there. Also, staff I've dealt with have always been courteous and nice. I usually go for spicy chicken sandwhich, nuggies on the side and waffle fries! I popped by this location after a day of shopping in Dedham mall. I love that I can order from the app (while paying at another store) and they bring the food right to your table when you arrive. They make a fine fried chicken sandwich. I cannot argue with that. If we're traveling and want a stop, this is pretty high up on our list. We wouldn't mind driving a little out of our way too for this crispy goodness, haha. This particular location is pretty quick with their orders and their drive thru is fast moving too. We always get a couple of the spicy crispy fried chicken sandwiches and then an order of the waffle fries to split. We tend to order the sandwiches with tomato, pepper Jack cheese, and lettuce. Definitely adds more oomph, but the regular sandwich is pretty good too especially because of the sour crunchy pickles. The fried chicken manages to stay crispy even if you get takeout which is awesome. Their mix of sauces is fun too. The creamy ranch, sweet Polynesian, honey mustard. The spicy chicken sandwich was so tender and flavorful! It tasted great with the honey roasted BBQ sauce that you can grab from the utensils stand! Beautiful location, with fresh flowers at every table. It makes you feel like you're dining at a fancy restaurant, not a fast food joint. Food is good too. Chicken tenders are barely larger than nuggets but the flavor was good. Honey mustard has a slightly spicy and tangy edge, so that was nice. Waffle fries could be crisper, but they were okay. Finally made it out to Chick-fil-A here in Dedham. Even though we were here for a relatively early weekday dinner, the parking lot was far from empty and the drive in had a line going on. The cashier was patient with this Chick newbie and when I wanted to try several of the dipping sauces, he suggested that I could try them all - cool beans! Sauces in a plastic tubby, milk, and receipt, off I went to our table to await the delivery of our meal. Meanwhile, went looking for the napkins and found plastic utensils individually wrapped, some sauces and jams, straws, and... plastic table covers! Wonderful invention! They tape right onto the table - perfect to set before your little ones who will happily eat right off the table. In the opinion of the parental units, the food is overly salty here and the bread softer than McDonald's. The chicken nuggets here are in the shape of literal nuggets (think gold) and are smaller and irregularly shaped in comparison to their competitor whose name begins with Mc and ends with Donald's, but they are real chicken pieces and not the pressed (yet tasty) plywood the other hawks. Their own Chick-Fil-A sauce is already quite tasty, yet they have other options (Chick-Fil-A, Polynesian (their sweet and sour), Honey Mustard, Garlic & Herb Ranch, BBQ, Zesty Buffalo), though of those, my favorite may be the Honey Roasted BBQ. The Superfood Side is a healthier side bowl of broccolini and kale doused in a light vinaigrette, with the roasted nuts and dried sour cherries on the side in its own packaging. It was good! Very excited they ordered this location! I loved eating at Chick-fil-a back in South Carolina all the time before I moved up here. Chick-fil-a has always been one of my to-go fast food places as it's more classy of the fast food options. Be aware that there is always a line here! I drive by this place regularly and there always seems to be a lot of cars in the drive thru, sometimes to the point that it blocks traffic going into that small shopping area going to Job Lot. I anticipated this wait so I ordered using their app. Regardless, I ended up waiting almost 20 minutes in the pickup area adjacent to the cash registers. In retrospect, I learned that they don't actually make your food until you press the "I'm here" option in the app. Next time I'll do that 15-20 minutes before I actually get there. The service was good and the employees were nice, they were doing their best. I ordered their Waffle Fries and 3-piece Chicken-n-Strips and go two packets of Chick-fil-a sauce. The food was amazing! It tasted almost as good as back home. The chicken was flavorful and the fries were crispy. My only complaint is that the chicken strips were a little sloppy. The Chick-fil-a sauce is a must with any order! There are condiments located to the right of the registers. They have a fairly large parking lot and two drive thru lanes. Sometimes, there's an employee outside that uses an Ipad to expedite the ordering process. The restaurant looks nice inside and is spacious. There's plenty of table and booth seating and they still had some open despite how extremely busy they were when I went. The staff were so polite and welcoming and genuinely seemed interested in me and how I was experiencing their establishment. The food was good--what was supposed to be hot was hot and my salad was very fresh--but it was made all the better by the service. I typically order through the app, then pickup in the drive thru. I read a lot of 1 star reviews and I don't believe most of them are real reviews because the food is ALWAYS made to order, hot and delicious. And the service! There is always a full staff; 2-4 people working outside in the drive-thru taking orders and assisting customers along - I usually get my food , HOT, in under 5 minutes from arriving at the restaurant. The WORST CFA i've ever been to.. They're all very rude, impatient & ignorant. I use the CFA app & since July is my birth month, they gave me a free milkshake & i went to this CFA branch to redeem it & just because my app wasn't loading, they refused to give me the milkshake. i showed them my license so they can see my DOB (which was RIDICULOUS) & they said they can't give it to me unless the app loads.. i was in the line for 23 minutes trying to get the app to load. i literally drove off because i was so close to cursing at them. they all acted like the milkshake will come out of their paychecks. Let me preface by saying I am a huge Chick-fil-A fan and due to the unfortunate fact that there isn't one in Cambridge/Boston, I exclusively drive 30 minutes to get my spicy chicken deluxe here. Whenever I go on a road trip, Chick-fil-A is where I get breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have visited many locations and this one is objectively the worst in service quality. Well, the service would be acceptable if this were Taco Bell or McDonald's but because Chick-fil-A is renowned for its excellent service, this location is a disappointment. I have had my order messed up on three separate occasions with all orders placed via the mobile app, which makes it even less excusable. If any employee at this location paid even the slightest bit of attention, someone would have noticed that an entire box of chicken nugget was missing, a chicken filet (they even printed the correct label for it on the box) became a chicken sandwich, or the fork that I requested was nowhere in the bag. You know what's even worse? Water cups without straws. How can something so routine that it should be muscle memory at this point be messed up? How do you work the drive-through for more than 30 minutes and not automatically include a straw for every drink you hand over? I normally would let this slide but because they closed dine-in due to COVID-19, we had to do curbside pickup. The whole point is to avoid contact and interaction as much as possible but because I paid for my damn chicken nuggets, I had to drive back, get out of my car, risk infecting you / getting infected myself to ask for my paid chicken nuggets. The employee seemed nonchalant about this whole situation and didn't apologize for screwing this up probably because they messed up so much that they are desensitized to it. I believe what I experienced is just a symptom of a bigger underlying problem of hiring unmotivated workers who do not care about what Chick-fil-A stands for. In this world where poor service and shaky values are ubiquitous, Chick-fil-A is a beacon that attracts customers for its delicious food, solid values, and more importantly, quality service. It's one of the few restaurants, accessible to all economic classes, where you can expect to be treated with respect, courtesy, and care. By those metrics, this location is an utter failure and only tarnishes the name that the other locations uphold. I was going to give this location a one star rating. However, the food that I did get is still delicious, perhaps more of a testament to Chick-fil-A's recipe rather than this location's ability to run a successful franchise so I will add one additional star. The issue is I have with this location is that it is not closer to my house! Please open more restaurants in the Boston area! I would just come here for the variety of dipping sauces. The drive through and app pickup are pretty efficient, so that's definitely a good alternative option. You can even order pickup through the drive through. Favorites are the spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries (of course), but highly recommend the frosted coffee. When I took the order out of the bag, it was obvious I had gotten someone else's much smaller order: a small order of nuggets and some waffle fries. At the time, I was worried that they might be overwhelmed by the amount of people/large orders we made, but they handled us professionally and kindly. This is the only chick-fil-A I've ever been too but I keep coming back. The grilled chicken club is my favorite item on the menu. That along with waffles and special sauce. They are a bit skimpy about giving out the special sauce and once told me it is because of a national shortage. I ended up finding the sauce at stop n shop and now keep a bottle at home.
