Fairfax had a special where you buy $100 or more, and then in 2013, you get the same exact meal for free! I ordered a large party tray of nuggets and a small brownie platter and a few sandwiches! The people working the window are super rude AND they never say "My pleasure" and when you call them on it they ignore you or blow you off! On a recent business trip to the Falls Church area, I stopped by this Chick-fil-A location to pick up a pre-arranged catering order for a lunch meeting. Chick-fil-A does offer delivery, but only for larger orders (this order was only for about 15 attendees). The order was to be ready at 11:15am. We arrived a few minutes late, due to traffic and due to the fact that this location has a very... "challenging" parking lot. They get VERY busy here (a testament to their following) so navigating through their lot can take some time. The drive-through line looked like it was a good 15 cars long. Anyway, we parked, waited in line, and paid the cashier. Then we waited. And waited. By 11:30, I was getting a little impatient. Our meeting was another 15 minutes away and we would still need to get set up. By 11:40, we finally found a manager to talk to. He was very apologetic and got right on our order. We were out the door around 11:45 - over 30 minutes late! We ended up being late for our noon meeting (never a good impression) and couldn't start until 12:20. Now, I understand that mistakes happen, and I appreciate the fact that the manager was sincere in his apologies and personally saw that things were corrected. However, when you rely on a catering service to provide timely service, you really need them to be reliable. Being late for the meeting wasn't the end of the world, but it certainly didn't help matters. On the plus side, the attendees LOVED the food. Someone even commented "You can't go wrong with Chick-fil-A!" Well, maybe you can't go wrong - but if you are using this location for catering, you may want to give yourself some extra time. I give them 3 stars for their food (which was actually really decent), but negative 1 star for the frustrating service snafu for a net 2 stars. (On a side note, I won't comment on their political/religious views, but I will say that I don't think there is a single food chain in the country that does more for their local communities than Chick-Fil-A. They are truly committed to serving their community and their generosity to schools, sport teams, clubs, and church groups should be applauded.) read more

The happiest and friendliest Chick Fil A in the D.M.V.! Ample parking and great FAST service in the drive thru. They make a point to keep the drive thru line EFFICIENTLY MOVING! They'll have two or more people with tablet devices in thr drive thru line to keep the line moving and a covered tent towards the end of the line for collecting funds. I love the hospitality of marilyn I see her often when I go to the store she's always so happy and enthusiastic. finally they got someone for front of the house whos happy doing her job. I came with my wife and kids and she's so patient with y kids while they order. we will definitely be coming back so glad their customer service and speed to bring food to the table is so much better. I came in the store yesterday. First thing I heard was (Welcome to Chick-fil-A My name is Marilyn and I be taking your order today.). Wow finally this restaurant got a young girl at the front counter with amazing personality, hospitality and best customer service. My family love her, she was so pleasant and friendly. She took our order. She make sure we got our order in less then 5 minutes when they usually make us wait up to 15 minutes for our carry out order. She bring it to us. Then she came and check on us ask if our order was ok and if we need it anything else. We will definitely came back soon because we love this king of hospitality. Not open on Sundays doesn't help. Service was s bit of a .mess, I'm sure everyone is friendly, but a bit bewildered. It ok though, I understand everyone who works here is about 16 years old and this us thrift very first job. Bread was a little hard and stale in one side, but the chicken is much better then McDonald's dollar menu chicken. Good location. It's in the most crowded and packed area of Fairfax and yet these guys do a great job holding down the house. The drive thru is always crowded but the staff are quick to get orders in especially during lunch and dinner rushes so it doesn't feel like your waiting forever. The food is always fresh especially the fries and the shakes are a must at this location as they can make a good mean milkshake! I prefer to not dine in at this location as it gets very crowded however the inside of the store is very clean and well staffed with people to help you fulfill your order. My only gripe is about leaving that damn parking lot it's usually crazy so you must be careful as driving and merging out of here can get wild. I think this is the best chick fil a around the fairfax area by far as the food is fresh and good as well as it not taking too long to grab your food and go. read more

Solid Chick Fil A. They're much faster in the drive through than if you walk inside....even when cars are wrapped around the building. In general it's the same as every other CFA except the fries here always seem a tad undercooked. Wish the fruit cup had less apples. I just got drive drive-through here and my food is excellent however as I was in the drive-through I witnessed an employee dropped an entire box of lemons; some already cut up onto the pavement, he then proceeded to put them back in the box as if nothing happened. We even made eye contact and he smiled. I really hope that somebody knows about this and that those lemons were not put to use in store. I'm a little grossed out. read more

Very disappointing experience today. I placed a mobile order for 2 basic meals nothing special and still had to wait for 15 minutes and eventually ask a staff member walking by for status if my order. When it finally came out I was offered no apology or explanation and it was missing a drink, sauce, and I was not offered a drink holder. Never once asked if I needed anything, always had to stop someone else to ask for what I needed. Meanwhile people in regular line received their food very timely. The only bad experience I have had at a CFA. The only thing good was how nice the cashiers were. However it was soooooooooooo slow and they messed up our order 2x....once we didn't catch til we were in the car. They quickly apologized and fixed it. They need more people working. Good food; inconsistent (if friendly) service, unfortunate location. I work right around the corner from here, I love their food and usually go here for breakfast or lunch at least once a week. The food is just as good as every other Chick-fil-A you've come to know and love out there. The service and location are not the best (at least they should be able to do something about one of them). For the location, it's off of Fairfax Boulevard just east of Fairfax Circle to the south, which means that if you're coming at a busy time, it's best to approach it so that you can make a right-hand turn into the parking lot, rather than hoping to find a gap to cross Fairfax Boulevard. The parking lot itself is unfortunately small, and many of the spaces will likely end up with you parked in for a second by the too-long drive-thru line (though, in my experience, most people are kind enough to not keep you blocked in). The line itself can be somewhat of a disaster, especially when the roving order-takers venture too far out in the parking lot. It's very common for the drive-thru line to extend all the way to the street. I've always found the service there to be personable, but not 100% accurate. As often as I go there, and as busy as it always seems to be, I kind of expect that from time-to-time there will be a mistake, but with there, I am particularly keen to check my order before I go (especially when I am in the drive-thru). By way of example, one time I was coming through for lunch and had ordered a meal with a regular Dr. Pepper. When I got to the window, I was handed what looked like a lemonade, and I handed it back, saying I had asked for regular Dr. Pepper. I was then handed a drink that was definitely a dark soda, and had the Dr. Pepper blip pressed, as well as the Diet blip. When I said regular, they told me that "Oh no, it was, she just pushed that one by mistake." I pulled through the drive through and parked around the corner to test it and find that, no, it was diet indeed. I walked back inside and they exchanged it without a fuss, but episodes like that are so, so frustrating to know that you have to double check everything before you leave. read more
