First let me say, I like 5-Guys; especially their fries. But my experience at this location was bad. The worst was the music; it was so loud it hurt my ears. Luckily for me, I wear hearing aids and could shut them off and it was so loud it still bothered me. When I was there, no one other than me ate in the establishment... everyone else took their food and left. The music was so loud, I could hear them call my name. As I said, I love their fries. I ordered mine crispy ... they were not. They were warm, not hot and they were soggy. My small cheese burger was acceptable; what I expected. I will not return to this location. read more

I'm thinking about going there except I think that five guys is extremely high in price for a hamburger joint. I remember when five guys first came out several years ago, they were reasonably priced. Seems to me that as the years went by they kept on raising their prices and lowering their standards of the food quality. I used to be able to get a good hamburger and man did it have the best toppings on it! Now when I order the same hamburger the toppings are usually scarce and you get not nearly as many French fries. I remember when they were running over the top of the bag! The good old days. Boy was that good. The food quality was great too. The food quality is not nearly as good now as it was back years ago when five guys first came out. Tis a shame, this franchise grew so fast. It's an opinion, but chains that do this, often miss the magic from the original concept. Is this and other Five Guys have good burgers? Sure but they aren't anything grown breaking. They seem to be skimping out on your fries, and the cost now for a meal is laughably high. It's a burger with toppings. They have the tasty peanuts, and the sign where the potatoes are from, but that's not something that enthralls me. Very nice employees. They are efficient. My girlfriend is more of a fan than I am. She got me to order one of their shakes and it was pretty good. Service as usual was solid, and it's extremely clean. Yet I just have to say it's "pedestrian " to my taste buds. Inflation is real as are franchise costs, yet it's an opinion, but I think they are asking too much for what you get. This is my all time favorite place to have a burger! I have never had a bad burger from Five Guys. I placed my order online for store pick-up of a bacon burger in a bowl-no bun. Ready for pickup in 7 minutes. I was warmly greeted by David as I walked in. I couldn't see his face but I could tell he was smiling behind his mask. I just had to match his positive energy and warmth. My burger was amazing as usual!!(Amazing is my second favorite word after awesome). The food is the same as any other five guys location. I've had the same food at any five guys I have gone to. The service here is questionable, a while back the mobile app said curbside is offered at this location but when I called them later on they claimed they dont do curbside. Also I don't know if it's just this location or all five Guys locations but they have been doing ridiculous price increases ever since 2020. There is no logical (or ethical) basis for the price increases they have been doing every few months since early 2020. They may claim its inflation but thats simply not true, beef or cheese prices at the grocery stores have been almost exactly the same, in fact prices in mid 2022 for grass fed beef were $5.49 a pound, only up 10% from early 2020 prices, so there clearly isn't much inflation in the NOVA area on beef prices, but their standard cheeseburger has gone from $8.79 something to now $11.69. There haven't really been any other restaurants raising prices to this degree and at this point you can pay the same price or a dollar or two more and get an organic grass fed burger, or an angus prime burger or other steak burger which also come on a brioche bun. Five guys meat isnt high quality its not grass fed or organic or angus prime it's just fresh non frozen beef. Their buns are sesame seed buns. So it really is pointless going there with much better burger options available. It still has its own unique taste like how every place has its own unique burger, so at most I only go to five guys once every year or two. At a similar price point you can get red aprons burger which is actually grass fed, antibiotic and hormone free beef... comes on a Challah bun, and they offer beef-fat french fries and much better sauces, likely a larger amount of meat as well. read more

We placed on online order. One of our items was missing and two of the items we did receive did not have all the requested ingredients (no cheese). Also, all the food was cold and most of the vegetables were uncooked. Only the onions were slightly cooked, but still cold. At least the burgers were cooked so didn't get food poisoning. The lack of stars is due to the 2 short black strands of hair found in my fries and lack of attention to detail. I asked for a regular sized cheeseburger and got a mini cheese burger. One of the toppings I asked for was grilled onions, but got them raw. I had no problem eating the burger. It was a bit soggy, but tasty. It just wasn't entirely what I asked for. I was most upset about the strands of hair that I found in my fries that were clearly not my own. Waiting for my order, you can hear an employee who was wiping down tables sounding bit disgruntled and talking back to someone in the kitchen who had asked him to do a task. I have been a huge fan of Five Guys since the chain started but I think it is time to rethink my support. I visited this location about a year ago and was treated kind of rudely. One of the things I love is their fries, but I enjoy them crisp and not limp. Other locations gladly double cook them but not this location per the manager. He said it violated health regulations to cook fries them drop the basket back in to cook again. This isn't true because every other location I have ever visited does it. I just ordered burgers and shakes for the family and it was over $65, breaking my price point I am willing to pay for fast food. After taking a year long break from this Five Guys, I visited and got 4 small hamburgers and a small fries and it was $35. No drinks or extras so again, beyond what I am willing to pay. When ordering, I asked if they could double cook the fries and was told that would be no problem. Got home and sadly, the whole meal was disappointing. The fries were barely cooked, terribly mushy, and no flavor at all. So much for making them crisp per my request! The biggest disappointment though were the burgers. The patties were so small that there was 1/2" all the way around it so as not to fill the bun. The tomato slice was bigger than patty. They were so dry and not like the juicy burgers that they are known for. Tables were filthy and nobody was "on the floor" cleaning. Parking was plentiful as there were not many customers during dinner rush. Extra reassuring that they are taking mask precautions seriously NOT. Masks are required for customers but all of the staff, except one, had their mask on under their nose or mouth. Not comforting at all. I won't be going back. Too many major disappoints and I am done. read more

This is the 3rd time we've ordered online and picked up where there was either a significant delay or significant lacking in what was ordered. Today it was a 20 minute delay to make 3 milk shakes beyond the time they said they would be ready. Previously, they have significantly undercut the amount of fries in addition to delaying the order by 10+ minutes. I've never been to this location for anything but online orders, but in person is probably your only hope for decent service. So disappointed in the consistent poor baby experience at this location. The new Five Guys is a welcome addition in Burke. I was interested in see what one of the new-model Five Guys after patronizing the Springfield location for some time. The Burke location is very efficient. Orders are taken right away and the food comes right out. I like the Little Bacon Cheeseburger. They make a good grilled cheese, too. Numerous condiments can be added to any sandwich. The fries are great and plentiful. As with any Five Guys location, come hungry, as the portions are certainly generous. Nearby parking can be at a premium, but is plentiful at the shopping center. Peanuts in the shell are free. Be sure no one in you party has a peanut allergy. read more

Yummm... five guys!! I've been craving Cajun fries for the last three months and they did not disappoint! This place was incredibly clean (it did open fairly recently) the employees were very nice and helpful. The line did get a bit backed up after I ordered but he manager quickly pulled two employees who were cleaning to move to the kitchen and help take orders and make food (after they both washed their hands). It was pretty crowded for a late Sunday afternoon but I don't think I waited too long for my burger and fries. If my cholesterol and health would allow it I would eat here way more often; but alas this is just a special treat to enjoy on occasion. read more

The prices there have increased to be one of the highest price burgers on the market, and unfortuneately, in my opinion, Five Guys is pricing itself out of that market. All of my burger business has gone where the value and taste is more competitative. Nevertheless, servers continue to make the burgers at Five Guys to your likeing, portions and therefore, value is ample, and in my opinion, Five Guys continues to be one of the tastiest burgers in competition for customers. I judge the value the product of individual stores by their willingness to offer valued portion sizes in condiments when asked, and in each test case, every store visited passed that test favorably. read more

Don't get your food delivered from this five guys, they don't properly secure your food like all other restaurants do when it's getting delivered. I received my food in a totally open small bag with my drink open as well. You would think with everything going on they would take the extra step to secure your food while it's getting delivered. After spending additional money to get the food delivered and tipping the driver I had to drive to go pick the food up since they don't seal their food it was no point of getting it re-delivered... even after I complained and had to go pick the food up I saw them handing the food to drivers completely open like the picture i attached. read more

For months, maybe a year, my local suburbies and I anticipated the opening of this franchise. When the day finally arrived, I was devastated to read the disappointing reviews. In the meantime we had discovered our favorite "Habit Grill" in Ashburn and other local burger spots so the Five Guys craving disappeared. Fast forward a couple of months into their opening, I happen to be in the area and we craved fries and a burger. My order(albeit hesitant to do take-out) was gonna happen. The location has plenty of parking. They share the space with Kohl's and the future Chick Fil-A. Yes, Burke is finally getting more fast food. When I walked in, I was impressed at the size of the place. The meticulously placed peanut boxes called to me. There were 2 self serve soda machines(both were broken though), and a nice napkin and condiment Station. There was no line at 12:30pm during the workweek. The crew seemed to have their act together. My order was quickly placed and I watched their back area team out the orders together. The burgers survived the 8 min drive home(still hot and juicy). The fries were lacking. This was my draw and it failed. They were hot yet soggy, probably needed another 1-2 min in the fryer. The price point at Five Guys is a bit higher than competition. But they are in Burke and it's a big plus when all that exists is McDonald's on nearly every street corner. read more

Whoop whoop! I like most of the rest of Burke, it seems, was awaiting Five Guys with GREAT anticipation. The old Friendly's that used to stand in the same spot was a dining mistake that my husband and I made once... and then never again, which always seemed like a shame given its primo location. So glad that Five Guys ended up taking over, since I was already a big fan of their huge burgers and generous portions of fries. I was especially excited to see that they have milkshakes (and offer a lot of different flavors!) because I wasn't even aware that Five Guys did shakes. We came for lunch on a weekend, and must have had incredible timing because the line wasn't very long when we arrived. The place was still hopping, though, and just after we snagged a table, the line seemed to multiply exponentially! So I'd consider carefully what time you come in if you're jonesing for a burger, lol. Our food did take quite a while to come out (I got a hot dog, my husband the bacon cheeseburger, and we split some fries), but I understand that this is a brand new location and I'm sure that their timing will only improve as they get their bearings. I went to this location 2 nights in a row with the same order and two nights in a row they've gotten it wrong. I order a cheese burger with mayo, lettuce, pickles and ketchup. TWO nights in a row, no pickles, no ketchup and tomatoes on the burger. It's very annoying to come home, hungry, to a burger you didn't order. The food is not as great as it use to be. The burgers are thrown together very sloppily. The original buns would almost disintegrate before you could finish the eating. The new buns are hard and take away from the taste overall. More training is needed and corporate should take a closer look at what and how it's being served. read more

I've been patronizing the various Five Guys in No VA for almost 20 yrs, including the original location in Arlington (later switched to Alexandria). I've always been a big fan. All the locations are fairly consistent with their food and service, but, I do agree with others on here that this Burke spot is always fast, clean and friendly. Most importantly, the buns and the fries are always fresh. (I've had Five Guys that haven't been as tasty/fresh as what you get from here.) Sometimes, our order comes out so hot, we have to let it cool down. I'm lucky to have this location near my home and it's the only place I go to when I get the craving for juicy, tasty, fresh burgers n fries. read more
