With another new location opening up in Kapolei, it seems like Chick-fil-A restaurants are popping up everywhere around the island. The Ala Moana location can be found in the the Makai Market food court, coincidentally across a Raising Canes. I like this location more than the Beretania one because parking is easy to find and you can grab your order, find a seat in the large food court, and spend the rest of your afternoon window shopping. This location is always clean and well organized. The workers are friendly and keep the line moving fast. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which was piping hot with a little kick of spice, and the mac and cheese, which was gooey with a sharp baked cheddar crust. If you know you're going to be a returning customer, definitely download the app so you can rack up points for free dishes.

Coming from Alaska this was an amazing experience to finally have Chick-fil-A again after many years of not. I was able to order right away, the employee was sweet. My food was ready within 10 minutes and it was absolutely delicious and handed to me with a smile. I will be back!

I love Chick-fil-A and have been to many locations in the mainland but this location is the worst I have ever experienced. It was busy but very unorganized! Order takers were not friendly and didn't direct where to wait. Expeditor was also very slow and unorganized. No manager was present to help with the flow. I will never return to this location!!!!! Please hire new managers or shut it down. It's a disgrace to your reputation.

Not crazy about this Chick Fil A location. The chicken sandwich is soggy and lacking flavor compared to the chicken sandwich at the Makiki location. It also has the same issue where the sandwich is not hot but just less than warm. Service is good at this location too. The mac and cheese was alright. Tasted better than Popeyes mac and cheese.

Went to the Ala Moana Food Court and finally got to try Chick-fil-A...yay! Found out that you need to go to the long counter with the registers to order your food. The registers are located by the seating area in front of where you pick up your order. There wasn't a line there so we weren't rushed and got help on what she needed from us. There were a lot of people waiting for their food but our wait wasn't that long. I ordered the "#1 Chick-fil-A Chicken sandwich meal" for my husband and "#1 Chick-fil-A Deluxe meal" for myself. The "meals" comes with the sandwich, waffle fries and a drink. The sandwich came with a big piece of chicken...it was very tasty and filling. Thought the waffle fries would be crispy but it was on the soggy side which I didn't care for. As for the sauce, there's 7 to choose from: - Chick-fil-A sauce - Polynesian - Honey Mustard - Garden Herb Ranch - Zesty Buffalo - Barbeque -Sweet & Spicy Sriracha We both ordered the Chick-fil-A sauce...they gave 2 each per order. We poured some in our sandwich and dipped our waffle fries...yum! We'll be back!

No matter what Chick-fil-A we go to we know we will have a five-star experience! Not only is the food consistently delicious, but the employees are always well trained and enthusiastic and continually looking for ways to go above and beyond. Their customer service blows all other restaurant chains out of the water. Our go to order is chicken nuggets or a chicken sandwich... Good thing they have both of those! Despite this location not having chicken strips or seasonal shakes, it's still a five star location! Chick-fil-A is very well known for its efficiency without compromising its quality. They are extremely well known for their drive-through lines, however, this location is found within the mall which means there is no drive-through. And yet, the manager here has still been able to find a way to maintain that efficiency in the setting of high volume of customers in tight spaces. The food court here is very busy and still CFA has been able to create a system of taking orders while in line that has made the experience far from uncomfortable. And they continue to take mobile orders as well! Even when there are hordes of people clamoring for their chicken nuggets, we find ourselves only having to wait a maximum of 10 minutes. They also have the BEST rewards system of any restaurant in the game, if there is one app that you should download right now, it is the Chick-fil-A app. Lots of free food and treats to redeem for points and sometimes they'll even send you a free reward "Just Because". And that's basically the equivalent of getting a hug from your long lost grandmother, unexpected yet wonderf TIPS & TRICKS: * There is free parking in the Ala Moana shopping center and what's great about this mall is even if you are craving Chick-fil-A, but your spouse is craving something different, there are tons of other options! * Try mixing barbecue sauce with mayo and dipping your fries in it... as well as alternating dunking you nuggets in Polynesian sauce with Chick-fil-A sauce. It is what I call "the ultimate experience". * And don't forget to order yourself a few desserts, their brownies and cookies are seriously unreal! What's even better is if you bring them home and pop them in the microwave for about five seconds... level up.

A small sampling today (finally) ...it was okay... Never had it before, and although I wasn't hungry, since I had time and was in the area, what the heck. Finally had some Chick-FilA today! Just decided to get a kids' meal with fries. The nuggets taste almost like the Popeyes nuggets, and they look similar in taste and size. If you're a McD Nugget fan, then these nuggets may not hit the spot. The fries were pretty good and even better when dipped into the BBQ sauce. So just north of $8 in all ... more expensive than a 6 piece McD kids' happy meal, comes with a comparable toy, (but no apple slices). Soda refill is no extra charge :) Ordering is at a table away from the pickup counter (at least at this Ala Moana location). When your food is ready, they call your name. So yay, finally got to taste what the initial fuss was about when they first opened. I'll probably try one of the sandwiches or meals next time to get a hopefully more representative taste experience.

You get the full Chick-fil-A experience by waiting in line to get the shaka by an employee to place your order and pay then you wait until your name is called for your order. If you ordered by mobile app they have an area to pick up your order. There is plenty of seating in the food court or you can take your meal to go as it can be pretty packed there. The food is delicious as always with God's chicken. Remember if you have hunger pains and craving for some Chick-fil-A they are closed on Sundays.

I'm concerned with the size of the chicken. It seems very thin. I got the spicy deluxe chicken sandwich. The waffle fries are better than raising canes but the chicken sandwich doesn't have hardly any chicken in it. I was getting half sweet half unsweet tea. It's good as well. They just need to fix the size of the chicken. The staff was very friendly and efficient but unfortunately this is the third time it was this thin , not like before . I think I'm gonna have to go get my chicken sandwich other places.

After months of observing long lines we finally got to try this location. The Saturday night lines was a no line. We approached a line of servers ready to take our order. Our server was friendly and took the time to recommend some new dishes. She took my order and then asked if he needed my help. We ordered the chicken sandwich, fries and salad. We then waited in another area to listen for our names to be called. All the food came out pretty quickly. Food tastes the same as the mainland stores . Chicken sandwich was crispy. Waffles fries yummy. Cobb salad a favorite! There was actually ample seating in the area to enjoy your meal. I do not think our Saturday night trek was an everyday experience. However it was nice to avoid the crowds.

Unfortunately,They forgot my bacon :( other than that, food is delicious as always. Very fast!

When I'm in the mood for a chicken sandwich, I always stop here! I highly recommend downloading the Chick-fil-A app since you can order online and save up points and collect points for rewards. Instead of standing in the long, crowded lines, you can order online and you'll get a notification when your order is ready for pick up. The staff has always been kind and friendly to me which I'm very grateful for since it can get really hectic in the food court. The food has always been amazing, hot, and fresh! At times such as peak lunch hour, the food court can get really crowded and there isn't much seats available. Sometimes it's nice to take your meal out and sit near the stage! I'm glad they brought Chick-fil-A here so us locals can enjoy it without having to take a trip to the mainland!

I was pretty excited when Hawaii is having Chick-fil-A. I wasn't planning on waiting for hours in the line when they opened. Waited a few months and finally it was time. Randomly passed by the food court and the line was short. So I quickly went to order. The line was quite confusing at first because the lanes were blocked off. Had to ask a worker where to order. Waffle fries small $3- small pieces all crumbly. Would prefer better pieces. Had their special sauce and it was good. Regular Chicken sandwich $6 - just chicken and pickle. The chicken was a bit soggy. Not very good. Quite disappointed with the food. I tried it before on the mainland and was much better. Overpriced also.

Since their initial opening, it seems that they've refined their process for placing orders: you place your order with one of three or so employees stationed at one of the food court tables, and pay for your meal. Afterwards, you wait with the rest of the folks until your order is called. One downside is that they announce that your order is ready based on first name, and they don't provide you with a receipt after you pay (your customer copy is in the bag containing your order), so this could potentially allow for some unfortunate mishaps. I've had Chick-Fil-A on the mainland, so this wasn't a novel experience for me. Had the spicy chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a drink, which was juicy and flavorful--however, it wasn't something I would be clamoring to order every time I stepped foot in Ala Moana. Overall, would recommend trying this place at least once (tip: pair your order with their signature Chick-Fil-A sauce). read more

Ordered the market salad but compared to the mainland chick fil a I was disappointed. No apples, granola, or almonds in the salad. Not sure if they were just out of those ingredients or if this is how they serve it in the Oahu location. Service was great though, 5 stars for that :) read more

take pictures of it all. I'll start with service, in a dining out experience- service is equal as important as the food and flavor. Service was exceptional, everyone greeted us very politely and with a smile, 5 stars. Next the food, the food was just as I remembered it. And I just had it several weeks ago in Vegas . I love the deluxe chicken sandwich with the chick fil a sauce, the waffle fries were nice and hot and the ice cream and milkshakes were delish! I'm happy we have the option of having chick fil a when we want (except Sundays lol). No qualms about this place. It's simple eating, definitely get what you pay for. The salad with none of the iceberg, thank goodness. Chicken burger was juicy easy to eat with simple veggies not welted or soggy. Place is new so hopefully it'll continue with quality, and efficiency. Don't let the line deter, I was at first OMG, but it moved fast so much so I was up at the front with food in my hands going okay, what, lol. I'm holding onto that last star for consistency, and if this place can continue to maintain it. read more

The employee who took our order (Israel, I believe his name is) was amazing -- he took his time with us (had our fussy two year old with us!) and explained the menu and our options with great patience and knowledge. I was skeptical initially on how Chick-Fil-A was going to work out at the Ala Moana Shopping Center Food Court as I've only had Chick-Fil-A in the mainland. And the ones I went to in the mainland had drive-thru services. I dine at the Ala Moana Food Court almost every day and have been watching when they initially opened. I have tried it on many occasions now and I have to say that I am very impressed on how they run this business. I observed how they trained the new employees in shadowing them and answering any questions they have. As the days went by, you can see the new hires getting to know what they're supposed to be doing to now doing it so well. All the workers are so professional and friendly when they take the orders, to processing the orders, double-checking the names on the orders, and delivering them to the customers - it's so organized. They are so accommodating when you want more sauce, dressings, and ketchup. At times, workers are walking around asking if everything is all right and if they need anything. I was worried about waiting in the long lines, but since the Chick-Fil-A team is so efficient, you are not waiting in line for very long. This company is so well run. Definitely will be back again and again. Keep it up Chick-Fil-A! read more

As a fan of grilled chicken, I really wanted to try this place for the first time. I checked Yelp first, of course, and saw other reviews that the online system was open so I placed my order while walking around the mall and when I arrived, it was ready! Super convenient and quick while in a rush. This was on a Tuesday around 12pm. Not sure if the weekends are much busier with online orders. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and the grilled chicken nuggets. The grilled chicken nuggets were charred but didn't taste burnt. If you just want simple, fast food grilled chicken, this is for you. It is not dry at all and have a slight smoked flavor. For the grilled chicken sandwich, I opted no sauce. The chicken was not dry and I enjoyed it with the bun. The bun had a slight sweet taste to it and I enjoyed it very much. It is very hard to find a delicious fast food grilled chicken sandwich but I must say Chick-fil-A did not disappoint at all. read more

Save your $$$. Go to Popeyes. Their food is fresher and has much more flavor than this awful fast food establishment. There's no reason to wait in a long line when Popeyes AND Jolly Bee serve much higher quality food. read more

I came here during lunch on a Saturday. And being the only Chick-fil-A on the entire island it was a complete mad house. Thought I could save some time by using the app to make a order. The good news is that it did save me time in the ordering line. The bad news is that there were four rows of customers waiting to get their orders. Kind of reminded me of the lines at Disneyland. Took me about 10 minutes when I arrived at the location to get my order. Which for Chick-fil-A is pretty par for the course. It's probably done that way to ensure that the order you receive is made fresh and not just sitting around waiting for you to pick it up. Everything was done in a quick and efficient manner. And the workers were pretty helpful though a bit stressed out since they were getting slammed pretty hard. I would definitely come back here again. read more

However, after having to abandon our original dinner plans, we were no less intrigued after randomly stumbling across this place. While they may not have been our first choice for dinner, coming here was far more appealing than eating fast food or at the nearby IHOP! Although seeing so many folks at this mini food truck park may have been what caught our attention, it was the boxes of fried chicken on nearly every table that swayed us to try Waikiki Chicken in Paradise in particular. After skimming the menu, it wasn't hard to see why they were such a popular choice - everything on it sounded great. Granted, that's not overly difficult when there are only eight items to choose from, but tough to argue with the likes of fried chicken loco moco, fried chicken curry rice, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken & croffle, and fish & chips! Since we saw how big the portion were and didn't want anything too heavy (read: sadly, no loco moco or Japanese curry), we opted to split a FRIED CHICKEN RICE PLATE ($16.95) which came with a Fried Chicken Cutlet over White Rice with Mac Salad & Green Salad. Funny enough, despite already having a sense of how much food they give, I was still surprised by the generous portion size. As for how it all tasted, this was great. The breading on the chicken reminded me of Popeye's (though, without the spice), the batter was crispy, and the chicken itself was rather moist. As for the sides, the mac salad was pretty good, but the salad was a little heavy on dressing. If there was one thing I could change about our order, I think I'd want to see how it would taste with a sauce or glaze. At the very least, I'd definitely go with a different dipping sauce, like their Pineapple Ginger, Lilikoi Mayo, or Guava BBQ, as the Honey Mustard we went with tasted a bit generic. Of course, we could've solved both problems if we had gone with the Fried Chicken Loco Moco or Fried Chicken Curry Rice instead! I guess I'll just have to wait until the next time I'm in Waikiki!

Parking is tough because of the area but there are a few spots out front, would generally recommend calling ahead so parking is less stressful. Their menu was a little confusing to me so here is some explanation: K pop chicken- boneless chicken pieces K chicken wings- flats and drumettes (the two parts of a larger chicken wing) K chicken tenders- boneless tenders only K crispy chicken- full wings, thighs, and breast pieces They offer each of these items as a plate lunch too, with a smaller portion of chicken that comes with rice and salad. I personally like the K chicken wings for the variety and higher meat to skin ratio but my husband really likes the K chicken wings. The skin is shatteringly crispy and flavorful and the meat is juicy. Their honey shoyu sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. You can also request the sauce on the side. That totals my 10 pieces. More bones and excess crispy flour then consumable meat. NOBODY gives a Chicken back (or 1/2 a back)! Not Popeyes, not KFC or Zippy's who will remain my Favorite because I will only get ripped off the 1st time, never again. Additionally, they make you buy the sauce, the reason is due to no seasoning on the over floured bread...but it IS Crispy! The Chicken tenders were overcooked and REALLY Chewy around the edges. Just a LOT of breaded Crispy with no flavor, what "Chef" doesn't even use salt? Really, if you're going to risk testing this food, PAY for some sauce! I hope the Owner reads this and realizes that ripping people off by selling broken pieces that most Chef's throw away because they have so little meat on them, isn't going to keep him in business. The profit margin may be up while folks are trying it, spending their hard earn $$$'s, yet not coming back will be the ultimate demise of this business as many other have come and gone doing the exact same thing, not putting themselves in he patron's position. Ask yourself this: When was the last time you saw a bowl of whole chicken pieces and immediately grabbed one that was back bone chopped in half?

It was exactly what you want when you're craving KFC. The sauces were spot on, chicken had a perfect crunch in every bite and the meat was incredibly tender. To make our dinner feel like a complete, we also added a few other items to the table. We had the pork mandoo and loved that it was clearly homemade, you could really taste the difference. Those extra sides were the perfect finishing touch to the feast. To be honest, if it weren't for this staycation, we probably wouldn't have headed into this part of Waikiki, but I'm so glad we did. I had an incredible experience at the Chick-fil-A in Ala Moana! I came in to redeem a coupon, but for some reason, their system wasn't registering it. Before I could even worry about it, the manager immediately stepped in, honored my free sandwich, and even gave me an extra coupon on top of it--talk about top-tier customer service! The staff was friendly, efficient, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great visit. My food was ready in no time, and of course, it was just as delicious as always. Chick-fil-A Ala Moana - The island of Oahu's first taste of CFA! Remember those insane lines around the mall when it first opened? Luckily, things have mellowed since then.
