I've truly never experienced better service than I did tonight! The manager, Christian, went above and beyond to accommodate us in a way that made our visit unforgettable. We weren't able to fit through the drive-thru because of our boat, but Christian didn't hesitate to step in and personally bring our meal out to us so we could still enjoy dining at the restaurant. His kindness and willingness to help made all the difference. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and just as amazing as always. The service at this establishment reeks of disservice and customer mismanagement. My complaints, instead of being heard, fell to the wayside. The manager being a pillar for the establishment in upholding its values instead took to bickering with me. Antagonistic, Aaron Price took to using dogwhistle terms/expressions such as "escort me off" for simply asking my order be remade. Such a claim reeks of Anti-Blackness or Black racism. In particular with regards to their drive thru, they need to be more mindful and receptive in regards to delays/mishaps. I am still trying to process tonight's experience here. My fiancé and I have come here a couple of times before and had no issues, until tonight. We were in the drive thru line for quite some time maybe 15-20 minutes or so, and it was obvious our lane was a little behind because the lane next to us had more cars passing through or moving up faster. That was just one minor issue. My major concern wasn't until we got home and ate our food that really upset me. Don't get me wrong, I love Chick-fil-A and I love the spicy southwest salad that I had ordered! But what I found in my salad makes this a very critical and almost life threatening issue. I poured my dressings in and stirred everything but didn't notice anything at the time. It was when I was near the bottom half of my salad when I put a forkful in my mouth without looking, that I felt something heavy and hard! So I spit my food out and come to find a metal screw?! I am not making this up. I couldn't even finish the rest after that. By the time this happened, the restaurant had just closed. I tried to call them to see if anyone would pick up last minute but of course not. So I ended up leaving a message and my contact number, hopefully someone responds. I love CFA but this is by far the worst one I've ever been to. I ordered a CFA sandwich and when it came it was slightly pink. The texture was off and it smelled and tasted almost raw. It also was too squishy and there was a lot of juice coming out, and being a CFA fan that's not normal for CFA sandwiches. It was disgusting. I only realized it was pink halfway through eating it so I was really scared I would get sick. I kindly spoke to the manager and he kindly replaced it, which is why I gave an extra star for service. However, when I received the replacement sandwich, it was also pink. I tried eating around the pink but the texture and the smell ruined it. Today at 11:39am my husband went to Chick-fil-a & grab us lunch, I work from home & wanted food now , i was so hungry!! so I love chick-fil-a KALE SALAD & GRILLED CHICKEN NUGGETS. We decided to add mac n cheese to our order. Long story short , my husband returned with the food , I immediately grabbed my food & started to eat, I get almost to the bottom of my mac & cheese and what do i see plastic in my food. I remember the first time I pulled in I was so weird out by them asking my name for the drive thru order. My name? But why????? Turns out they give really nice more personalized service in a drive thru experience than what I am used to. Now if I pull into a Chick restaurant and they don't ask for my name I'm shocked. All that aside this is a very nice location that isn't ever too busy when I pull in. They make a yummy breakfast sandwich which is cheaper than McDonald's and can be customized to not have chicken on it. They also have so many dipping sauces and they don't get mad if you ask for a lot of different ones! Each time I have come here they have been very quick and friendly. Chick-Fil-A has usually been a great fast food place for myself and my family. I remember how excited everyone was when they finally put this location in. It seems like it has started to decline a bit since going in, and even more over the last year. I have always enjoyed their simple yet tasty sandwiches (both spicy & regular). The Spicy Deluxe Sandwich has tasted a little different the last couple of times - can't quite put my finger on it. Their waffle fries are awesome (as long as they stay hot/warm), and most of their other sides are good too. I like that they seem to have a good variety of options to switch it up or suit other dietary needs. One of their newer sides has been the Mac-n-Cheese and it has been an delicious addition to options. Another item I really enjoy is their Spicy Southwest Salad! I think I actually order this more often I'm recent times than their sandwiches (usually for pick up order/dinner). Their app seems to work well for this location (plenty of options to modify or add to your order), and comes out correct each time. Sadly, I have noticed their drive-thru could use a little assistance. Every time that my family and I have used their drive thru to order, they either forget to give us any sauce (like zero) or mess up a modification. The service become very inconsistent and unreliable. They are still friendly though! My last visit, I went alone after not going for a few months. The sandwich looked great - except for not taking off the tomato. Then I upgraded to their small Mac-n-Cheese side and it appeared to have some burnt, crusty cheese in my portion. Totally understand that their metal containers holding the Mac tends to burn on the heat table after awhile, but definitely not appealing (nor taste good). I've been waiting for months for this place to open and now they are finally open and I'm so damn happy! I don't know how Habit the burger place next door will do now that Chick-fil-a is here. If I had to pick between the two I would definitely pick Chick. Okay so they have two drive thrus so the lines go pretty quick. Some of the employees seem new to the whole fast food thing so just give them so time and I'm sure this place will be rolling. Some of my favorites are the grilled chicken sandwich, peach shakes that are seasonal, the polynasian sauce, their lemonade with sugar of course and their prices oh the employees always seem so nice. I wish there were more Chicks around like McDonalds and I wish they were open on Sundays but I know why they are closed and I'm fine with that. The food here is just so damn good and the prices are excellent sometimes I feel there is a catch to all of this. What can you say, Chick-fil-a serves great chicken sandwiches. Can never go wrong with these sandwiches. The chickens internals are juicy, the batter is crunchy, the taste is right, and their fries is good. I do have a preference though, I bought the regular chicken sandwich for the first time this time, and I prefer the spicy chicken over it. There is just more flavor. I always ask for the chick-til-a sauce to eat with my sandwich and fries. Might I add, the drive thru service is pretty quick. Don't be discourage by the long lines, the lines move fast. read more

If u must do a drive-thru, you're hungry for chicken and you don't mind the wait when busy, this is decent enough. Food is good, but not sure what the rave was about. The portions are ok, tho not generous. The sauces are just ok. I do like the cross cut potatoes. Nothing real special about the flavor, just different cut than the usual fries. You can choose fried or grilled chicken. Spicy or regular. Wraps, nuggets, salads, fruit... Good to know fruit comes as a side for Kids Meals. So you can go healthy with the salads n fruit or splurge and get a milk shake. The service is nice, very organized and professional. I appreciate that, especially for a drive-thru! read more

It's nice to see Chik-Fil-A arrive in La Mesa, Ca. I stopped in this newly open location for breakfast and ordered the Chicken, Egg, & Cheese Bagel combo with the mini hash browns on the side and an unsweetened ice tea for my beverage for $6.59 plus tax. The bagel breakfast sandwich was quite good. The chicken filet tender and juicy inside and the breading was tasty, but I would of like for it to have been crispier or have a little crunch to it. It was very soft. The egg was fluffy and I like the way they allowed the cheese to melt. The sunflower seed bagel was really good. It was moist and soft but it also had that slight chewy nature to it, and most important of all, it tasted very good. The mini hash browns were good. There temp was a little off, meaning they needed to be warmer. They are not seasoned very much so I added a little black pepper and dipped them in the signature Chik-Fil-A sauce which was very good. The unsweetened ice tea was very good and I totally dig the fine crush ice they use here. Service at the counter was top notch. Josie was very sweet, polite, and most efficient. I think that threw them off because when I asked about ten minutes later if my salad to go was ready the nice male employee said " Oh did you ask for a special order?" Guess that takes longer. Ok why am I giving four stars? Well because they did get it remedied and then they gave two gift cards for a return visit. The actual salad was fresh, the avocado dressing was good, but the fried boneless chicken on top was pretty lackluster. I did enjoy the friendly, helpful staff., the clean and nice atmosphere. My family and I came in for lunch on a Saturday. The parking was a little odd and since there are reserved spaces in the front for clean air cars, handicapped and compact cars. The very long drive thru lines made it difficult to get into a spot. Once we were in a spot we went inside and waited to order. We had about a 3-4 minute wait. Once we placed our order and got our drinks we proceeded to a table. All of the tables were very clean and the employees made sure as soon as someone left they were cleaning the tables. We sat right next to the kids play area so we could watch my son play when he was done eating. I have never seen high chairs cleaned so many times in about an hour as I saw that day. They were all cleaned at least 3 times during the time we were there. The food arrived about 5 minutes after we ordered. My husband and I both ordered the original spicy chicken meal and for my son a tenders kids meal. The sandwich and fries were both fresh and hot. I had to wait a few minutes for my sandwich to cool down since it was still steaming. The fries were nice and hot. My son's food was hot as well and he enjoyed it. For dessert we bought a frosted lemonade, my first and it will definitely not be my last. It was wonderful. We were asked by managers if we needed anything or would like refills while we sat there watching our son play. The staff was attentive but we didn't feel like we were being rushed out.
