Not very good service at this location. Was getting scoffed at for no reason. Food came out fine.

After six years I decided to give Chick-fil-A another try even though I am not excited about their limited menu. But, I was intrigued with their new Jalapeno Ranch Club Sandwich which has been getting some very good reviews lately. What I discovered on my 2026 visit was that much of my prior review has passed the test of time. Much of that earlier evaluation still stands. The Chick-fil-A restaurant on University Ave impresses from the orderly state of the rear drive up and parking area to the well lighted, bright, clean, and open interior. Inside this is a comfortable place to dine and it also features a nice, covered outdoor patio. It is indeed a wonder that so many people still use the drive up window. You order at the counter and they hand you your beverage glass already filled. You find a table and they bring the food out to your table. Prices are reasonable but the menu is limited. The service is always quick and most pleasant. Most of the negative reviews on Yelp seem to concern the drive up take out window service. I cannot comment on that as I've never ordered that way. But, there always seems to be a long line at the Chick-fil-A drive up windows so many folks must be satisfied with that service despite the horror stories found on Yelp. Today I ordered their new Jalapeno Ranch Club chicken sandwich with their waffle fries, and their new Strawberry Hibiscus Sprite drink (oh, what the heck, try something different.) The drink I did not care for: the flavor was not only a bit weak but a little weird. I am not a fan. Give the drink a "C." I would not order it again. As revealed in my earlier review I am not a fan of their waffle fries. I once again found them lacking crispness and seasoning and being chewy and soft and lacking flavor on the inside. Lacking good sides is, for me, a real negative for Chick-fil-A. It is, along with such a restrictive menu, what keeps me away. Rate the waffle fries a "C-." They needed a lot of salt! On the other hand the chicken sandwich was very good. A large lightly breaded chicken breast was enclosed by a high quality flavorful bun. The jalapeno ranch sauce came in several little packets. This sauce was creamy and tasty with a little kick. I added a lot to the sandwich which included leaf lettuce, tomato, pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, and a lot of crispy bacon. This was one very good chicken sandwich. It is most likely the best fast food chicken sandwich around. Rate it a "B+." Thus, nice ambiance, pleasant efficient service, a well organized parking lot, a really good chicken sandwich, and reasonable prices are THE POSITIVES. THE NEGATIVES were the drink, the sub-standard waffle fries (despite the fact that people seem to enjoy them???), and the limited menu choices. On balance, give the overall dining experience around THREE AND A HALF STARS....meaning fairly good for a fast food restaurant...but it could be so much better. How long before my next visit? I went through the drive though and the person never gave my card back. I realized days later when I didn't have my card &' called you guys to ask if you could hang onto it. A manager confirmed on the phone they would hold my debit card until I could pick it up. About 2 weeks later, I know i'm so so so busy I really couldn't make it any sooner I went and the manager looked at me in my face with a nasty smug look and said oh we shredded it with a big smile!!!! What lovely people you have working at the establishment!! Because of that I had so many problems with my bank!! Thank you chick fil a!!!!!!!!! I'd also like to add there has been multiple instances of receiving specifically the nuggets RAW!!!! Just the one on University though this one has some serious issues!! read more

Oh no! This was not it. My food was NOT FRESH. My food was cold I know my food wasn't fresh bc my cheese don't even look like it was on a warm peace of meat. My Mac n Cheese wasn't so macking, it taste as if I got some Mac n cheese that's been sitting all day. Highly disappointed. Last summer, i was helping my best friend move to Arizona. We drove from Dallas and decided to stay in Las Cruzes for a night. We got dinner at this chick fil a. I kid you not, this was the best chick fil a i have ever had in my entire life. My best friend and i STILL talk about this chick fil a. The fries were so hot, perfectly crispy and golden. The chicken was fried to perfection, with light breading, and the hottest, juiciest chicken ever. The bun was golden, and almost crispy, perfect. I worked at chick fil a in high school. I go to chick fil a, like 5 times a week. Huge fan. But something about this chick fil a man. It is the BEST. My best friend and i will hopefully come again soon, meeting half way. read more

Not sure what the deal! I frequent this store quit a bit but I might need to start going to another location. First few times my orders were spot on. But lately my orders have been subpar. Updated: they've improved their service time and seem to be doing much better! Maybe they just needed some time to get things going? We love Chick-fil-A, but unfortunately at this location, breakfast service is painfully slow. Coffee always takes an additional 15 minutes since it isn't brewed yet. Also, I received my hot coffee with coffee grinds in them, staff apologized and offered iced coffee as an alternative because of time and when I said sure, they told me it would be an extra charge. What?! One of the staff went to another couple and asked if they were ok with having coffee grinds in their coffee - that is never ok!!! That is not the customer service they're known for. read more

I have always been a big fan of this place, but you lost me tonight. I will never eat here again. This is why... I ordered food for my girlfriend and her coworkers last Thursday night. Had to drive to El Paso to drop it off. When I finally get there, I have everything but my girlfriends sandwich. So that sucked. I immediately called the establishment and spoke with the gentleman who bagged my items. He apologized and put my name in their "system" so I could come back and get my refund within 30 days. Being an reasonable guy I accepted and came back tonight. Not only did they make me wait unnecessarily long, but eventually told me I would not be receiving either a sandwich or a refund. You would think my future service with this company would be worth one sandwich. Thanks for wasting my time and making me look like an a$$ showing up without all the food. Thanks a bunch.
