We live chick fil a - my three sons love the spicy chick fil a sandwiches with a passion! Today I was by my self and drove thru. The folks there are always pleasant and prompt :). Had to say I drove home and had a huge shock when I looked at my receipt and saw that I was charged $6.79 (+tax) for their new Chicken Tortilla Soup! Omg! Called back and spoke with a very pleasant manager there who confirmed that is the price for the soup. Well...I'm still kind of speechless here. We are not talking about having soup at Coopers Hawk or Wildfire. So....stick to the Chicken Noodle....it's half the price and just as good. read more

Ordered 4 Cobb salads with avocado lime dressing. When I got home I only received two avocado lime dressings. My order was $74.00 order and they forget the dressing for the salads. I called and spoke to Annalise the manager and she couldn't give me a refund or any free offers and she only accused me of lying. She asked her baggers and they said they put four dressings in the bag. Like why would I be lying. This is the worst $74.00 I ever spent. I will never go to chick-fil-a again. Worst food and service. I blame the manager. There are 12 employees here. It's 1:44pm. The tables are filthy. The French fries are not cooked. (Really??) The $5 fruit salad has canned tangerines in it and is very small. I took the fries back to a young man who said he was a manager. I said they aren't cooked and he picks it up (the we're cold) and he says, " how do you know?" I said I ate one! I mentioned they have a huge number of staff standing behind the counter but the tables are dirty. He was not fazed. One employee is walking around asking how everything is. So I said - the tables are all filthy. Her response? We are busy! If a food place can't handle busy with a dozen employees there is a problem. I asked what is in the soup. The response...chicken. ok what else (!) The girl says - chicken? I asked what else.. she asked another girl. This employee said " have you had Paneras chicken soup? It's like that. It gets worse...we go to clean up and put our containers on the tray ( that was sent over with the re cooked fries) and there was dried crusty BBQ sauce on the chick Fila logo. We had no sauces with our food. This tray had clearly not been ever washed. My husband liked the chicken salad. However, we ate there and they obviously premade the sandwich & fruit (as opposed to being fresh) because they were in thick plastic containers. I love Chick Fil A's food, but this location has to be the filthiest I have ever seen. Usually these places are clean and well kept up. I came here a few days ago with my husband for a quick lunch and every empty table was filthy. We finally spotted a clean table and sat down. I couldn't help but notice the table across from us was piled high with garbage from someone else. Look people are pigs and don't understand they have to clean up after themselves- I get it. However, I watched one of the employees stare at this table and then avoid it as he walked around looking at all the tables. It was probably 15 minutes before he actually gave up and cleaned it. Chic is easily the best fast food chain out there. Their food is amazingly delicious. Their chicken is time and time again moist and flavor packed. It's impossible to take a bite that wasn't as good or better than the one before. Their waffle fries don't taste processed and synthetic like the typical fast food but instead it's consistently fresh and actually tastes like fries ought to. They've got all the regular sauces and their house Polynesian sauce which is soo so good. I can't describe it, you've just got to try it. Apart from their amazing food, their service is second to none. All their staff is as courteous and as nice as can be. Their facilities are always top notch - clean and fresh. Idk what more you could possibly ask for from a fast good restaurant. Oh and did I mention they've got fresh squeezed lemonade everyday that they don't up charge you for?! I'm so very disappointed. I ordered a catering tray of chicken tenders online after discussing with staff over the phone that it would be the best route for placing an order. They wouldn't let me cater fries so I placed the order about 10 minutes prior to my coworkers leaving to pick up our birthday celebration lunch for our boss. They get there and come back, taking about 45 minutes (which was to be expected) but no chicken tenders were there. They did state that they were picking up the orders for my specific name. So out goes my coworkers back to get the chicken after speaking with the staff member who blamed my coworkers for not saying how many orders they were picking up. They get all the way to the restaurant and they just started cooking the chicken when they arrived. Why not cook the prior to arriving... like after getting off the phone with me instead of blaming my coworkers for your inability to do your job? In all- it took hours to finally get lunch for the office and to celebrate - not even a sorry for the inconvenience or thanks for your business. They continued to treat us with disrespect and the manager even yelled at my coworkers. I'm not sure how you run a business selling chicken but at my job in a hospital I would be fired for the lack of customer service provided. I visited this place opposite Randhurst for dinner after work. I ordered the Spicy Deluxe sandwich and Waffle fries. The service was prompt and courteous, the food consistent. Restroom was clean and well-kept. Since it's squeezed between Elmhurst Rd. and Rand Rd. getting in and out and parking conveniently can be a challenge, especially during snow and heavy traffic. We closed the car window right away and pulled up to pay. One of the workers, Alex, saw the spider on the mirror and killed it for us. I put one star as all Chick Fil A's should be automatically 4 before review begins as they are the Telsa of Fast Food, as they changed the entire industry and consumers taste to love Chicken Sandwhiches - performed so well, that everyone is a follower to Chick Fil A's brilliance. I've been eating Chick Fil A for many years, - I found them at an Ace Hardware Trade Show in the lunch area I believe in Dallas Convention Center, where they just had a booth with their classic Chicken Sandwhiches only, as they were brought in every hour from delivery people from an area Chick Fil A restauarant, -- I ordered 1 at a break from manning a booth at a show, and it was love at first bite. Since then for about 15 years, I've gone to more Chick Fil A's than you can imagine, in IL and all over the country when traveling, -- it's my favorite fast food ever, -- here in IL it's either Chick or Portillo's - both excellent. If I need a burger, -- I go to McDonalds and you must check the bag at the drive thru window as my estimation is at least 3 or 4 times out of 10, it's a pot luck dinner when you get home as McDonalds is horrendous on consistency and accuracy of getting what you order. But normally Chick Fil A is perfect everytime, never needing to check order as they've always been accurate until now. This location which I've gone to often (many highschool kids come here as it's near many schools in Mount Prospect. I drove thru, order 4 sandwhiches and 4 orders of waffle fries, and 8 sauces. I drove home (about 15 to 20) minutes to buffalo grove and my daughter, my mom and dad all had their sandwiches in the bag with fries, but my sandwhich was not put in the bag, and it's 30 minute round trip to this location. I called the store and I think the manager is maya, -- I told her I paid $41.76 for 4 sandwhiches and 4 fries and they only gave me 3 sandwhiches, there was no real sorrow which shocked me as this was the antithesis of every single chick fil a experienced I've ever had and I've had hundreds, -- they took my name and I asked is there anything else you can add to the sandwhich I paid for already due to me not having dinner tonight due to your oversight and the answer was "NO" just the sandwhich you can get that you paid for when you return. So as a consumer who has never experienced such a lack of care for this stores business, I drove back to the store in shock and hunger. Everyone in my family back in Buffalo Grove was eating and would be done eating when I return home. I drove to the store and brought back the receipt and spoke to blonde manager and asked her for my sandwhich and I said, "I drove 30 minutes round trip 2 times due to your mistake and is it ok if I get something for the inconvenience and gas money spent, and she said, "we can only give you, what you paid for" I said what about the gas I paid for, can I have a cookie, Anything at all as my fries will be ice cold when I get home" many workers saw this embarrassment and eventually when I wouldn't give up, she begrudgingly gave me a new waffle fry. I will never ever step foot into this location again, a new Chick Fil A is being built closer in Buffalo Grove. It's takes years to earn a good reputation in the hospitality business and takes minutes to ruin a reputation. I will add the guy at the window at this location, a kid about 20'ish, -- very professional, he felt bad about serving me less than I ordered and he was much more professional and he walked away from the window area and over to the counter gave me a few sauces without me asking for my fries and sandwhich that I came back to get. If I was treated like this from the manager, I would return to this location but now I will not, -- apparently my business is not respected here. read more

I've always said that chick fil a is overrated, but last night had changed my life forever. Everyone always talks about how the service at Chick-Fil-A is absolutely amazing, and how the food is just something else. To be quite honest I just assumed it was over hyped, but boy was I in for a surprise. When you walk into Chick-Fil-A it looks like a pretty traditional american restaurant, you can choose to sit at either a table or a booth; my friends and I decided to grab a booth. When you go up to the counter to order your food you are greeted by the workers. Chick-Fil-A is known for their workers all over the internet are countless memes about how great their service is. They great you by saying "it is a wonderful day at Chick-Fil-A how can I take your order?" overall they just had a super positive vibe and I really enjoyed talking to them. Now we get to the good part, the food. I had ordered a spicy chicken deluxe sandwich with waffle fries and a small vanilla shake. This was hands down the best food I have had in my entire life! I can not explain how much I love Chick-Fil-A sauce I don't even know how to describe the taste besides it somewhat resembles honey mustard sauce. The sandwich itself was served on two warm buns, a crispy piece of chicken, and a melted piece of pepper jack cheese; it was exquisite. My waffle fries alone were nothing special, but once dipped in the magical Chick-Fil-A sauce my opinion had changed they were fried crispy waffle fries. Last but definitely not least was my beautiful vanilla milkshake... it was so creamy but not too sweet topped with the most delicious frothy whipped cream. There is always a long line in the drive thru, so I am really not surprised each time I go in here. I just got used to it and it is a normal scene for me to see a long line, especially on Saturdays. But you know, the service here is just really great. Sometimes lines move quickly and sometimes not, but nevertheless, the staff are always friendly and definitely polite. I always choose to go here whenever I want something to eat, and that would definitely mean their chicken nuggets. I just love their chicken nuggets. It is always fresh and hot when it is served. It tastes fresh as well, and, of course, juicy and seasoned to perfection, so it definitely melts in my mouth. I am honestly content with the chicken nuggets alone, but I cannot deny the fact that they taste even better with every sauce they have. This time, my favorite sauce would definitely be their sweet and spicy Sriracha sauce that I always request, and they always put it perfectly with other sauces that also taste good. I would always order 12 pieces of nuggets, and I was good. It definitely brightens up my day, and whenever I have a bad day, I will just stop by here on the drive through and have some of their chicken nuggets. Well, the soft opening was on 2/19, but the official opening to the general public was today, 2/21/13. Their first customer according to their Facebook post was Norm Peterson - could you get a better name for a grand opening first guest???? No, it WASN'T George Wendt! Anyway, I arrived around 4:30PM and the place was still buzzing with a lot of customers - not every seat was full, but for that time in the day it was REALLY bustling. I ordered a number 1 meal - the standard Chick-fil-A sandwich with the waffle fries and a medium soft drink. It took a little longer than I would have expected to get my order, but attentive staff noticed that I was waiting and checked into my order quickly - didn't have to say anything myself. They brought the order up and I was about to step away when I thought, "I need sauce to put on this sandwich!" So I asked for some sweet and sour sauce - Polynesian as it's called at CFA. That's one issue that I have with these stores (other CFAs do it too) - they don't put the sauce out with the other condiments and they don't ask you if you want any when you get your sandwich. CFA should at least ask people if they want one of their sauces for their sandwiches. Went ahead and sat down and dug in - same great CFA sandwich that I've come to know in Schaumburg (and the Atlanta area store I visited years ago). Another thing - it's refreshing to see a lot of staff working to serve people and while they're pretty busy, they have enough people on hand that their team doesn't seem to burn out - the CFA staff was cheerful, polite and attentive here and that's been my experience at their other stores too. When I left I was a little disappointed that I didn't get a pass out for breakfast (I saw others receive them when I entered). So I opted for a more conservative 4 star rating - really a 4.5! All in all a good experience though - I'll certainly be back especially since this is closer to me than the Schaumburg store (the Saylor's who operate that store are GREAT people). One thing that was a little puzzling though and in my opinion a topic of future conversations at that store - a sign in the middle of the parking lot that read, "Underground Detention Tank". I had to place a last minute catering order for 150 people people about 4 hours before the event. The Team at Chick-fil-a in Mt. Prospect, did an AMAZING job taking the order, preparing it and delivering it in such a short period of time. The delivery driver was so kind and helpful; I felt so terrible that she had to make 4 trips to her car to load and unload. Nonetheless, she did it effortlessly and with such a great attitude. I would definitely recommend this location for both your catering needs (and / or just to go sit inside).
