Review #172 - 2020 My two nieces and my daughter are pretty big fans of Chick-fil-A so whenever I'm short on time, I always know I can count on Chick-fil-A, as long as it's not on a Sunday. I placed a mobile order about 15 minutes prior to our arrival and it took about 7-10 minutes to get our food after we parked in the curbside pick up area. We showed up at around 1 PM on Saturday, September 26th and it was very busy. This location does not accept drive-thru online orders, as it appears that their drive-thru lines are pretty limited. The pick up areas are pretty disorganized compared to other locations, but they tried their best to make do with what they had. The young man who brought us our food was pretty friendly even though he was super busy. I showed him my "free cookie" Yelp check-in offer and he went off for a while, but I thought he'd forgotten since it was so busy. I was about to drive off, but he showed up right before we left. Popped my Chick-fil-A cherry just now. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. The batter was well seasoned, mildly spiced, and the chicken was juicy. The bun was nice and soft. Personally I'd have preferred it without the pickle, which I shall the next time. On my second visit, I was pleasantly surprised to realise that the chairs are soft and well cushioned, seeing how I'm used to plastic/metallic hard-seat chairs at all the other fast-food chains. This time I had the original chicken sandwich and must say that they do pretty good justice to these kinds of chicken sandwiches. And by "these kinds" I mean the "battered and deep fried chicken" sandwiches, a la Southern. The buns were still just as good as at In-n-Out, my benchmark for sandwich/burger buns, that MacDonalds and Five-guys fail at terribly. The batter was full of flavour and the white-meat chicken moist and tasty. The chicken noodle soup, however, was a disappointment. It was TV-dinner microwave soup, at best; definitely not restaurant quality. The medium was about a one and a half cup portion size. The service was friendly (friendlier than at any fast food for sure) and they bring your food to the table after you place your order and get a token to place on your table. read more

My boyfriend and I make it a point to visit a chick-fil-a when we hit the road and travel out of the city, For some reason, there isn't a chick-fil-a located in the peninsula! Therefore, it's always a treat to visit one of these fancy food joints. This is the drill: Order 1 Chicken biscuit, and 1 egg, cheese, and bacon biscuit. Disassemble the chicken biscuit by layering the chicken on the egg, cheese, and bacon biscuit while saving the biscuit for dessert. Slather the biscuit with some strawberry jam and it's the perfect bite of sweet and savory. Now, back to the first entree. OMG, this is literally one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever tasted. You pair that with some crunchy tator tots and some of that famous sauces, ughhhh and you have a perfect meal. read more

I was able to order on the App before one person finished ordering. The line was long they seemed under staffed. Ordered an ice coffee but did not ask for creamer. Guess they are too used to just doing it a certain way. Smallest of the North Bay locations also the slowest. At least in Rohnert Park the manager hops on a register to get the line moving. My mobile order was ready fast so I know the food handlers were not that bogged down to not accommodate an increase in orders. It was dinner time with a line wrapping around the partition the manager or another team member should've hopped on to help out as the one person being the cashier was struggling as if they were still learning the system. read more

Staff were fine, wanted well done nuggets and they won't do it, gave me some bs about how well done items will mess up the oil. Everything was super salty and my frosted lemonade was super thick and had very little lemon flavor like they didn't put enough lemonade in it. I broke my promise to myself of never giving this corporation my money because of their anti-LGBTQ stance and now it will be easier to stick to that since their food sucks too. read more

Wow...this was a frustrating trip. When I tell you I go ham over Chick-fil-A, believe me. No matter where I am, if there's one near I'm tearing the doors down. On Friday, June 17th, I did just that; nearly tore the doors off the hinges with excitement as I entered the Novato, CA Chick-fil-A (#03092). Equipped with my list of things to get for me and my daughter I patiently waited in line for my turn. Then, I heard, "I can help the next person in line!" Grinning from ear to ear I placed my order. When I was finished I politely said, "I'd like to use your law enforcement discount!" I showed my identification as I was also dressed in my uniform. The jolly young man discounted my order after getting the discount code from someone in the back preparing orders. I gathered my order with the help of the manager, Erin, and happily went on my way. Here's where it gets frustrating. I went back the next day, Saturday, June 18th and did it all over again. This time, when I asked to use the law enforcement discount I was told they had no such discount. Clearly the person helping me this time must have been making a mistake because I just used the discount the day before. They went to the back to ask a manager and the manager, Erwin, that helped me the day before, politely came to the counter. I explained to him that I was there the day before (I remembered him because he helped me gather my items) and was just asking for the law enforcement discount code. He told me there was no such code and chik-fil-a never discounts items for law enforcement or for military unless it's a specific holiday such as Labor Day, 4th of July or Memorial Day. Another employee over heard him tell me that there was no such code and she corrected him and told me, "There is a code. We used it two days ago." Erwin decided to go back and forth with me and his staff after I told him I did not want to argue the point. He again reiterated the point that Chick-fil-A NEVER uses a discount code for military and or law enforcement. By this time, people in line were beginning to stare at us, and I explained to him, "Sir, I do not want to argue the point. I just would like to collect my items and please pay for my food so that I can go." He then proceeds to discount my entire order for free. I probably would have obliged him in this situation, but it began to look like I, the law enforcement officer, was trying to cop a free meal from Chick-fil-A. By now I was offended and embarrassed. I explained that I did not want a free meal, I just wanted to pay for what I had ordered so I could leave. I was becoming more uncomfortable with people standing in line listening to him continually tell me about Chick-fil-A not having a code for me to use. He then preceded to tell me that if someone did give me a code they weren't supposed to, because again, Chick-fil-A does not discount meals for military or law enforcement. When my order was ready, I gathered my things. I left the restaurant and went straight to my car to retrieve the receipt that I had from the day before. Knowing that I was not crazy, I brought the receipt back in to show him that YES, Chick-fil-A does have a discount code and does use it when they want to. After seeing my receipt where it clearly shows that the discount was applied, he began to apologize and backpedal. I could not understand why he would want to give my entire meal to me for free instead of using a discount. A part of me feels like he did that intentionally to try to embarrass me and to make me look like the law enforcement officer was trying to get free food. Well, as you can imagine, that Chick-fil-A establishment put a bad taste in my mouth. I can't say that I'll be looking forward to tearing those doors down again. Thank you, Erwin. You're one hell of a manager! The general manager, Hobbie DuBose, eventually came over and said, "Chick-fil-A does have a code but they are not suppose to use it. Whoever used it for me the previous day made a mistake." He didn't argue, he didn't embarrass me nor did he change my mind about returning to that establishment again in the future! read more

When this chik fila first opened it was truly spectacular in all ways Food, service all of it. Now however it is not the case. Its obvious there was a management change and IT SHOWS. food is average AT BEST with multiple times now barely that. Service is at times bad sometimes ok to good. It is my and my wifes opinion that the management is the root. Even the employees have "changed". Today i purchased a regular chicken sandwich and along with the fries were luke warm and the sandwich seemed like it was sitting around. When the pickles have soaked into the bun its a dead giveaway. Just ate my first Chick-fil-A evah!! Absolute delish, but what I was most impressed by was the awesome customer service. Came in super early in the morning and think it was the manager who took my order (he had a southern accent). I give this a three star because it was good service but it was not the over the top fantastic customer service that you come to expect from chick-fil-A. This is probably the worst chick-fil-a I have ever been to. Really...it's terrible. When you walk into one of their establishments, you expect excellent, super friendly service. Here...it was lacking in all aspects. Staff members were incredibly slow moving, unfriendly, and had no sense of urgency whatsoever even though they were obviously busy. We had our order for here and was not given a cone thing. No receipt. Nada. The restaurant was disgustingly dirty. Garbage cans were overflowing. The tables were sticky and not cleared of any debris. The floors were slippery and trashed also. I was almost afraid to utilize the restroom. Thankfully, it was ok in there. The food took a LONG time. I mean...I saw multiple people heading up to the counter asking about their food. I also saw patrons asking staff to wipe down the filthy tables. I get it, it was close to closing time, but the kids working were not even trying in the slightest. I ordered, and as i drove to the window I could hear them inside messing around and talking smack to each other because dude forgot to turn his headset off. I went for chicken nugs (and a sandwich but I'll address that later) not to watch&listen to a 17yr old kid hit on his coworker openly in front of the window. Wasn't mad or annoyed, just uncomfortable and hungry at this point. Now the actual important part: (1) dude forgot straws for the drinks. (2) bad customer service. (3)wrong drinks. (4) dude literally gave me (accidentally cause didn't order it) the one drink he said he was out of at the beginning. (5) half my meal is missing/not in the bag. I spoke clearly and he repeated it back through the speaker, but clearly he was focused on other things! They're teenagers, I get it. It pains me to write this and rate only two stars having grown up in Atlanta where Chick-fil-A is king. I'm used to much better than this, but something's happened here in Novato. First off, the sweet tea is WEAK - not even close to how CFA makes it down south. Guessing they've modified the recipe here to better cater to these Northern California pansies. Secondly, when you drive up to the drive-thru window, you're immediately hit in the face with what I can only describe as what a hobo's ball sac smells like. I explicitly ordered a #7 entree (Grilled Chicken Club). He asked if I wanted the grilled chicken sandwich. I said "No, a Grilled Chicken Club entree. Number 7." I stated it two more times beyond that. He still gave me the other sandwich which I don't care for. Plus, I did not receive the balsamic dressing that I ordered with my kale crunch side salad and I don't like it without the balsamic. So , I just flushed $10 down the toilet.
