So I'm updating my previous review because... plot twist, we had a situation. I originally gave this place 4 stars because overall they've been solid. Fast, efficient, food hits, no major complaints. But after my most recent experience, I'm dropping it to 3. I ordered online, paid ahead, did the whole "I'm a responsible adult" thing. I get there, give my name, pull up, and suddenly I'm told my total like I never paid. Then someone loudly calls out from the back, "OH! it declined." First of all... what? Second of all... inside voices?? Here's the kicker: it did NOT decline. I had the confirmation email, and my bank showed the charge (I didn't know this yet). Instead of verifying, she told me matter-of-factly that it declined, so I handed her the exact same card I used online, and she ran it again. Boom, double charged. And at that point, I'm starving and not about to fight over a fast food order, trusting that staff are doing their due diligence, not just assuming and casually charging a second $30 like it's no big deal in this economy. I had to go back through the drive-thru line (again), wait (again), and deal with it while my food sat getting soggy (not again, unfortunately, just once was enough). To their credit, the refund was issued and it did hit my account. So yes, they fixed it. That matters. But... this shouldn't have happened in the first place. It's a training issue. If an order is confirmed, don't assume it declined. And maybe don't announce someone's "declined card" across the building like it's a group discussion topic. Still a decent location... would be smart to verify before you charge people twice (maybe my expectations are too high?) and I will never order online again because of this, lesson learned first time around on that. read more

I can see the yelp stars here are struggling and when they first opened I may have agreed but some time later I believe they have a long way. More recently this Chick-fil-A has worked to improve their service completely. Every service worked I have encountered here has been friendly and positive. NOT a typical sit down Chick Fil A and not toddler friendly, so beware! Went here today with my 2 year old for a play date with her friend and his mom. Google AI search completely lied and told me that there was a play place in this location which is why we came. When we arrived and didn't see it, disappointment was an understatement and then we realized that it was all outdoor seating (In AZ) and walk up window style. Didn't feel like a Chick Fil A at all. We had hungry toddlers and were hungry ourselves so stayed. There was a mixup with our order where we scanned the table barcode but never got the food delivered. It was left in the pickup area. Neither I nor my daughters friends mom are dramatic so we didn't make a scene or even complain but the employee was super apologetic and accomodating. We got new orders of the fries since ours sat out for like 15 min and also got 6 free sandwich cards for next time as a token of apology. I wish I got his name, as he was the epitome of great customer service! The 3 stars is specifically for the customer service piece. The location is in an area which is full of homeless people, like smack dab in homeless person territory, and there was a homeless man walking around table to table begging for food. The food was fair, maybe 2.5. The chicken sandwich bun was larger than chicken piece. Cottage fries were not crisp enough and almost beginning to get soft. The bun was terrible, like cheap white processed bread compressed together, more like a bread product. The melted oil spread or whatever, smelled rancid, and tastes terrible. Good hell this is the worst chick fil a I've ever been to. We asked for two cups of water and they gave us two cups of ice. We asked for 7 chick fil a sauces and they gave us 2. When we asked for a couple more, the worker had an attitude and acted like it was a huge burden. They also didn't give us any straws for milkshakes. Also they only gave my pregnant friend having contractions only 9 nuggets when she asked for 12. I haven't even tried the food yet, but the experience was no good. I'm writing this review before I even pull out of the parking lot. I'm picking up a bunch of food, a huge order for a job site, and I cannot believe how nice everybody at this location is. I didn't think I'd be writing a review for a Chik-fil-a but wow -- this was an incredibly terrible experience. My husband, 5 yr old, and I stopped by on our road trip to the Grand Canyon. We ordered the biscuits and asked for no butter or cheese because our son has a dairy allergy. We end up waiting about 20 minutes in the drive through line. The manager at the window didn't even acknowledge us and when I asked if it was typically like this, she stated that there was new kitchen staff. I can understand that, but even a partial effort to acknowledge that the wait was inconvenient and a thank you for waiting would have made this experience feel somewhat reasonable. For a company that prides itself in employee kindness and efficient window systems, this was far from it. I understand being delayed by something you can't control, but to have employees further that frustration with poor customer service makes for a perfectly terrible experience. The best part? First and foremost, we order Chick-Fil-a all the time. We were very excited to see a new location open up which was closer than the Camelback location. This was my first and last time going to this location for a number of reasons. 1. Whats the point of ordering online when you still have to wait 10 minutes to receive your food? It was not even that busy of a location, with only 6-7 people in take out line and a handful of cars in drivethru. 2. Rude employees. The staff is not up to par for a normal Chick-fil-a staff. Need to hire the right people, not just people. 3. Easability- Turning off of Bethany Home and 19th ave is literally impossible. With the light rail and the traffic, best of luck. 4. Surroundings - So many homeless or crackheads sitting in their outdoor area looking for scraps. Makes for an uncomfortable experience. If I could give no stars I would. This place is the worst branch I have ever been at. Took them 45 mins to give me my food people in front of me were given their items before me. I guess they don't care to much about people who get out of the car. Couldn't get any explanation on why it took over 30 mins for them to get my sandwich and drink ready! We went to this chick fil a for the first time at the beginning of the lunch rush. They were timely, pleasant and got my custom order correct. I read some of the other reviews and it seems like some other customers were very unforgiving. Yes, this is a new location with a new staff and they are likely working through some kinks, but we were in and out in less than 10 minutes with a correct order and excellent service. I also don't understand some of the complaints about the location. We didn't have any issues entering through one entrance of the parking lot and exiting the other. The outdoor seating option is a cool idea, especially considering the pandemic. I think it will be really nice when things cool down a bit and they do have misters and shade throughout. We usually don't check our bags when we get food at Chick-fil-A because they're very reliable and never messed up but will forever be checking our bags and order from now on.
