Now, I will share this. Leslie the General Manager runs a great crew here! The service is top-notch and friendly. Leslie holds her crew to high standards, and it shows. Shake Shack is usually a good, safe bet for great burgers and fries, and this location understands the assignment. I had an early lunch, so very few people were there yet. Love when fast food places have a good vegetarian option. Had a not great shake shack experience a few month back but this totally redeemed it! This location is easy to find (parking lot is a little insane but not like unbearable), and lots of space in here. Really clean too. I ordered online and it was ready shortly after I got there. The staff was friendly too. I went all out, I got a double veggie shack with avocado and got spicy cheese ranch fries. I had some food left over for sure and it actually kept pretty well. I love the veggie shack -- it makes me so happy when fast food joints carry a vegetarian option and the Shake Shack veggie shack burger is really quite good. You can customize by adding peppers and avocados but it comes with those yummy crispy onion pieces. The fries are pretty good too - I would give them a 6/10 on the fry scale - they are crispy and not greasy but maybe could be a little bit more crispy. My son and I each ordered our own fry but definitely could have shared them because they are quite large. I also love that they have some pretty decent wine in a can for $10. We dined in and there is not too much ambiance but they do have a tv going -- we sat by the window and did a bit of people watching. This location is inside the uptown plaza and it is so cute and decorated for the holidays. There is not much to say about the service -- our food came out fairly quickly especially during the dinner time so that was positive -- you could see a lot of door dashers in and out picking up to go orders so it was fairly busy -- but not a lot of people eating in the dining area. Ok In-n-Out lovers..plz don't come at me, but dare I say, I like Shake Shack more. Lol I first had a taste of Shake Shack in Arizona on our fam bam road trips and I've been hooked ever since. Call it love at first bite! Fast forward and I now always stop by when we have that burger craving attack, as we drive thru AZ. My go-to has been the OG ShackBurger with raw, sliced onions. There is just something about their toasted potato bun that hit this Cali girl differently than In-n-Out. It's sooo yums. I love their fresh, made-to-order 100% Angus beef ~ quarter pound patty and that melted American cheese over fresh lettuce & tomato. Mmm..my mouth is legit watering as I write this review. While I ALWAYS order a side of fries with my burger, depending on my mood and hunger level, I sometimes feel fancy and get cheese fries to round out my meal. I just love those crispy crinkle cut fries that have that satisfying soft center. To truly complete my meal, I love their refreshing strawberry lemonade on a hot day. You can really taste the real strawberry puree, perfectly marrying their house-made lemonade. It quenches my thirst every time. While yes, your Shack Shake meal will NEVER compare to your In-n-Out combo prices, however, it's still worth it now and then ~ esp. when I have that fast-food craving, but still want fresh quality ingredients. This is a big Shake Shack location in the Uptown Phoenix Plaza with plenty of parking. We just happen to always stop by, as we pass thru on our road trips and/or checking on our Arizona rental homes. I've never been disappointed with the food or service here, but today stood out to me especially because of the service. I came in just to pick up my order & was immediately welcomed with a greeting and smiles from the cashier. The manager (I presume) who had a sick leopard print shirt on also seemed very nice; I overheard her being kind to the employees. And my chicken shack was on point, no surprise there. Kaliyah (sp?) was SO kind when we questioned the fries, she immediately went and got the bacon cheese fries for us without question. It was my first to here at this Shake Shack location and I had an okay experience here. The place was empty when my friend and I entered in the lobby. The lobby was spacious and trendy with the brown and green decor. The prices of the menu were a bit over priced but nothing too crazy. What I didn't like was the 25 minute wait I had for my burger meal. I thought it was odd for that long of a wait but again, this was my first time here. Once received my food, I wasn't too crazy on the burger taste. The fires were good with the cheese sauce and the Oreo shake was delicious. Overall, the service does need improvement. read more

Two screw ups on one order and a big waste of time. Placed an order with an employee who clearly wasn't trained on their using the register, which was fine as she turned and asked for help. The employee that finally begrudgingly came to assist her only entered 1/3 of my order leaving out the fries and shake. I guess I would've caught this earlier if I went there more often, but I didn't know what everything cost. Anyway, when I reference this to the employee that did take the order, he could care less and had an attitude that I screwed the order up. At this point, I lost confidence that these were people that could make food. I want to put in my body and ask for a refund. I got here and really wanted an avocado bacon burger and they were out of avocado; they weren't even open for more than 1.5 hours either. So be wary of this place as they don't always have their items stocked. Instead, I just got a normal burger and their Christmas themed chocolate yule shake. This cost $14.64. The burger I got was unbelievably small for a $7 burger. The burger itself was average but it sucks that you have to pay so much money for so little. 10/26/24 - Short version: had a craving for a burger & fries this particular Saturday so we decided to give Shake Shack a shot. We did, won't do it again. It was okay, just not worth a return visit. Longer version: got there shortly before 3 o'clock. Since it's part of a strip mall, parking was not a problem. They do have seating outside, on the south and west side but we opted to sit inside to avoid traffic noise. The seating is very uncomfortable, however, in that it seems the sole purpose is utilitarian (just a place to set your butt) and not about comfort. I guess they want you in and out. Metal seating does nothing for my a$$ except make it sore. :-) I will say the burgers had a much better presentation than McDonald's and Burger King's, meaning they were not flat as a pancake. As you can see from the pics, they had mass to them. The fries and truffle fries were almost identical in flavor, the only reason the one tasted better was all due to the truffle dip. The restaurant was running a pretty tight ship. Service was pretty quick, and we kept seeing what we assumed was the manager walking all over the place delivering food & doing some clean up. There were three self-order kiosks you could use (one was down), as well as ordering at the counter ... if you don't mind waiting for them to get off their phones and take your order. While I wasn't a giant fan of my burger because there was too much cheese, that may just be a preference. The fries are HEAVENLY. They are perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. We also ordered an Oreo milkshake and it was nothing crazy, but it was tasty. The water was the only thing that was SO BAD. It definitely tasted like unfiltered tap. First time trying out this place. Literally hate not getting a printed receipt for my order. I went with the bacon cheeseburger, french fries, and a Dr Pepper. All of which I had to purchase separately they do not have any combo meal. For what it was standing in line placing an order, it's overpriced. The burger was mediocre best. The french fries were the best part of the whole meal but pricewise nearly $20 for one person to eat lunch and a bacon cheeseburger at that is ridiculous. Overpriced, mediocre food, and pretty much self-service. All reasons I will not be back and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money go elsewhere where you can sit down and have someone wait on you and take your order with a more enjoyable atmosphere. I tried the black truffle burger when it was released a few years ago. I remember its deliciousness. Tried it again a few years later as it's not a fixture on the menu. I didn't feel that lighting like I did the first time. 13$ for a fast food burger also seems steep and way more expensive than I remember. I understand inflation but damn It ain't wagyu. I used to love this location, but am sad to report that I no longer feel that way. Popped in today for lunch, walked up to the cash register, and was told if I'm paying by card "go over there" to the kiosks. I don't know when Corporate America decided that they were going to offload their labor on to the consumer by forcing us to do the work ourselves, but I'm not a fan especially when I'm hangry. I'm paying premium prices for essentially a fast food burger and I'd prefer to place my order at the counter where an actual person can help with things like no pickles, please. We walked over to the kiosk area, the iPad was slow, and then came the audacity to suggest leaving a tip. Um, no. I'm placing my own order and likely having to pick it up so hard pass. I cashed out, took our number placard, and sat down. Time passed, no text saying our order was ready. I decided to walk over to check and there it was sitting on the counter. No one had called out the number or my name. Our food had been sitting on the counter long enough that it was cooling off when I picked it up. As I was lifting the tray, someone came over and said "Oh, I'm sorry about that. Would like me to carry that to your table?" No, thank you. I've already got it. The food wasn't hot, the bun hadn't been toasted like on previous visits, and the fries were just barely warm. I think they're using lower quality ingredients for the herbed mayo as well. We usually enjoy our Shake Shack experience, but the absolute decline in service and quality has taken this off our list of options. The whole vibe there was sad and depressing. It wasn't very busy and we were there at Noon. The employees seemed beat down and morose. Get your act together Shake Shack and do better. read more

Upon walking in I was able to walk right up to the register and order my food which was a single shack burger and fries . The lady taking my order was really nice and patient which is always a plus so I chose my seat which was a nice size inside . I would say it took less then 5 minutes before my food was brought to me by a nice friendly gentleman . I will say the burger seemed very small next time I would definitely order something more filling but h the fries were hot and crispy which was great . Overall definitely a good burger joint but prices do seem a little higher than other comparable burger joints. read more

Shopping at a few used record stores in the area and was needing dinner at about 6ish on on Sunday. We picked Shake Shack for multiple reasons. One it was national cheeseburger day, two it wasn't too awfully busy, location and we wanted to know what the hype was about. Ordered at the register instead of the self serve kiosk. Young man took our order. He really looked like he would have rather been someplace else, acted like we were a bother and he never smiled. No points taken it's all about the food in a quick serve establishment. One Shack Stack with onion added, one bacon cheeseburger, one hot dog, one spicy cheese fry, one regular fry, two small cokes, one 50/50. We are given a number and wait. And wait. And wait. We did get to watch all of the shakes and drinks being made then put on a shelf and sit so they can melt while food is being prepared. After ordering it literally took 23 minutes to get our food. My sons 50/50's ice had completely melted leaving a watered down lemonade with literally a splash of tea. It was more of a 20/80. He didn't drink it. Cheese fries even though nice to look at were cold and cheese sauce congealed and not pleasant to eat. My single shack has no onion and leaf lettuce bruised and wilted. Hot dog just a basic hot dog. Was supposed to have ranch and the person that brought our food said he'd grab one and bring it back but we never saw him again and we never received the ranch for the spicy fries. For $43 for fast food burgers I was expecting much more. Food tasted ok but being cold and the long wait for it just wasn't worth it in my book. The cons way out weighed the pros this visit. Restrooms very dirty. Trash over flowing and what appeared to be chocolate shake ( I at least hope) smeared and dried all over wall by the hand sink. Better burger options in the neighborhood. The best part of the whole meal was the worker changing trash. She was pleasant said, "have a good evening." Also if you want to people watch this is the place for you. Couple weird things about this Shake shack location. First of all you walk in at dinner time, and there will be a full staff, including a manager standing in front of the cash registers, but they will not take your order. They will make you go to a kiosk. Ok You place your order at the kiosk, and it asks you for your phone number. You enter your phone number and you never get a text message when your order is ready. So what's the point of putting in your phone number? When I ask the manager about this, he said it's supposed to work most of the time... What kind of answer is that? secondly, even though you are placing your order on a kiosk with zero human interaction at the end of each transaction, it automatically prompts you to tip 10% and other options to tip even higher but you have to go out of your way to select no tip because if you just hit check out it automatically Tax 10% tip on an order I just placed at a kiosk. I thought tipping was when you actually had someone give you Service.? Thirdly, the manager will sit there and run orders out to tables when they are ready but why not just have somebody actually taking orders at the cash register and let people come up and get their order when they get texts that the order is ready? i've been in here multiple times and he constantly is doing this making himself attempt to look busy when in reality this is easily work that each customer could do by just coming up to grab their order when it's ready. You add nothing by bringing it out. Not to mention the manager just belittle you when you bring up legit concerns with the customer service and overall experience of their store.
