We love Culver's! Since we're can't get it in CA, we always try to fit it in if we can. We went through the drive thru on a Friday night around 7pm. It was decently busy, but the line went pretty quick. We ordered the butter burger with cheese curds and a hot fudge malt, a sourdough met with onion rings and a peanut butter malt. We also got a side of caramel to dip the cheese curds in (if you know, you know!) and a side of cheese sauce to dunk the butter burger in. Everything was soooo good. It had been quite a while since I had ordered Culver's North Atlantic Cod Sandwich, so I returned to give it another try. My previous order was a few years ago and I recall it being pretty flavorful. My more recent order was light, crispy and served hot, though it didn't have much flavor. It wasn't bad; just not great. My memory could deceive me, but the portion size seemed slightly smaller. My order was prepared quickly and the employee was nice enough. I do, however, wish they had offered condiments such as lemon wedges which were never offered. I know lemon wedges were available in the past. If they still are, it would have been nice if the employee asked if I wanted any or if they could be requested through the app (which I didn't see). The ambiance is casual and the facility was clean. Be aware late night hours can draw large crowds and parking may be limited. read more

Took the twin nephews there as they are a fan of the butter burgers! I have heard really good things about them but alas I didn't order one, my partner did and really enjoyed it. I guess it comes plain but you add what you want so that is a cool concept. The staff first of all is soooo friendly and helpful, inside is clean and well stocked, I made a wrong decision by ordering the grilled cheese which was very basic like something you would serve to a 5 year old. One late he finished her fish sandwich and another one didn't quite. One person took her meal half her meal home and I'm taking half of mine home. It was delicious. Culver's makes an excellent smash burger with lots of toppings available. Service is always friendly and the restaurant is immaculately clean. They also make a killer vanilla milkshake but it's so thick you'll need to drink it with a spoon. For fast food Culver's is at the top of my list. read more

It was butter pecan when I went so I got a small dish of it with brownie bites as a topping. It tasted good and was a good price. Went to Sky Harbor to pick someone up and we stopped here on the way home. My friend is a vegetarian and Culver's has enough options and were willing to modify their chili/cheese fries so he could eat them. I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger and this time I added a chocolate malt to my order and both were delicious. There was a nice outdoor area with concrete tables where i was able to have my dog along side instead of trying to eat in the car. The tables did not have umbrellas which was fine for us, as we were there at night but I imagine they get hot during the summer daytimes. read more

I'm from Orange County, California and my annual visit to Phoenix wouldn't be complete without coming to Culver's. Unfortunately, there's no Culver's in California, but maybe one day! I first tried Culver's over five years ago, drawn in by their reputation for cheese curds, and they haven't disappointed. I'm on a mission to try everything on the menu, they have an extensive menu for a fast-food joint. Here's what I've tried. Mushroom & Swiss Single ButterBurger $5.09 | The Culver's Bacon Deluxe Double ButterBurger $7.99 | Original Chicken Tenders 2 pc $3.99 | Buffalo Chicken Tenders 2 pc $3.99 | North Atlantic Cod Sandwich $6.99 | Small Crinkle Cut Fries $2.29 | Medium Wisconsin Cheese Curds $4.49 | Large Onion Rings $5.29 | Medium Chili Cheddar Fries $4.49 | Medium Mashed Potatoes $2.49 | Small Vanilla Concrete Mixer with Brownie Pieces $5.79 | 1 Scoop Chocolate Covered Strawberry Frozen Custard with Eli's Cheesecake Pieces $3.99. Standouts for me are the butterburger, chicken tenders, cheese curds and frozen custard. The butterburgers are solid fast-food fare, though not quite at the level of In-N-Out, Shake Shack or Five Guys. You'd be expecting too much if you thought that much. I won't compare it to White Castle since it's just different. I'd say it's pretty on par with Whataburger, maybe even a little bit better, although I will say Whataburger is decent too. It's better than Mcdonald's (still decent) and Sonic Drive-In (meh...eh). The single burger here is pretty big, I get full off it. The original chicken tenders are a hit, even rivaling Jack-In-The-Box. The batter they use here is lighter yet still crispy with good flavor. Ok, don't @ me, they're good but they're not better than Raising Canes or Popeyes, but they still hit the spot. While the buffalo tenders are decent, I prefer the original with a side of buffalo sauce. A 2 pc is the perfect size for me with sides. The cod sandwich is good and surprised me with its hoagie roll. The sandwich itself is quite big and I get full off just this. The crinkle cut fries are delicious, a mix between Shake Shack and Del Taco fries. The cheese curds ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST, comes with two cheeses, un-aged yellow and white Wisconsin cheddar cheese. There's nothing to compare them to because they're THE BEST. Their onion rings are bomb. Their chili is delicious and so are their mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes taste similar yet slightly different from KFC, but the gravy tastes different. The frozen custard here is to die for. You could make any combo and it would taste good because the custard is just that amazing. They have new daily combos every day from what I've seen. The chocolate covered strawberry flavor that I got was amazing. One scoop of frozen custard is a good size for me, I often find myself saving some for later. The concrete mixer is even bigger but also very delicious. The service is friendly, and the pricing is fair for the quality and quantity. My only wish is for a drive-thru pick-up option on their mobile app, which occasionally has glitches. Despite that, my dreams are filled with thoughts of Culver's. Don't assume that just because it's fast food, it's bound to be not good. If anything, this might be one of the better fast-food options out there. A must-visit. read more

Got a 3 piece cod dinner it was not cooked fully as you see in the pictures the batter wasn't cooked though. They forgot the fries in the meal also. I went back and got my $ back for the meal , I asked for the manager they said there was nobody there , so they let me talk to a shift leader. They offered me a coupon for a scoop of ice cream. had one of the most confusing and disappointing experiences during my recent visit. There were tortas everywhere -- torta workers lined up, torta stations running nonstop, and what felt like an entire army dedicated solely to making tortas. Yet somehow, with all these tortas and torta workers, our concrete mixers still came out unbelievably late. It honestly made no sense. With so many people focused on tortas, you would think someone could spare a moment to get the concrete mixers out on time. Instead, the whole place seemed overwhelmed by tortas -- tortas being assembled, tortas stacked up, tortas flying out nonstop -- while our simple order sat forgotten. We waited and waited as more tortas kept coming out, but no concrete mixers. It was almost comical watching a dozen torta workers hustling around while completely ignoring anything that wasn't a torta. By the time our concrete mixers finally showed up, the experience had already gone downhill. If this place wants to improve, they should maybe take a break from the nonstop torta obsession and actually pay attention to all the orders, not just the tortas. As it stands, I left frustrated, unimpressed, and honestly overwhelmed by the sheer number of tortas dominating the entire operation. read more

Some restaurants make it hard for people to find their store due to the way they spell their names. There is at least one restaurant whose name is hard for me to spell and I give up. I wonder if this turns off or turns away potential customers. It odd likely because customers might not find the place given it might not show up right in directors or search engines. I like how Culvers is easy to spell and remember. I just don't like how it has an apostrophe. Anyway, their ice cream is very delicious despite that they call it a custard. WhenI try to remember it's nameI just think of their concrete mixers. I like the smooth and creamy taste of their custard ice cream. I am not sure why or how or if it is different from ice cream. However, I don't like when there are ice crystals in it that forms when the ice cream scoops have water on them. I think that their hamburgers are good. I think they are pretty basic besides being fresh and almost tasting home made. Their french fries are amazing when hot. My favorite is their ice cream and french fries. Their french fries are great in texture and taste. I don't like the cheese curd coating. Their service is pretty fast, however, when they get busy the service gets slower. read more

Culvers is a chain that we don't have in las vegas. I was in Phoenix for a day and I saw a sign for culvers in Kingman and it didn't leave my mind. Came in and this one wasn't as stacked with employees as the one in Jacksonville. The person taking ny order was struggling a bit, but I think he was new. I get the simple cheeseburger and fries. Nothing special. When I went to get some ketchup there was a decent sized soda spill on the counter and ground. Noticed one or two employees walk by. The third person took care of it. The food was really good. Atmosphere was nice and quiet. Plenty of seating and options since they have 2 and 4 person booths, and area for tables and chairs. This one didn't go quite above and beyond as the store in Jacksonville but it was still good. I plan on coming back in December for a football game and will be back. read more
