We love the behind burger and we love this location ‍‍‍‍‍

Whoever was the drive thru guy at 11pm on a Wednesday. He was awesome. Honestly the best. I will be back to this location. Great attitude with everyone who was working. I left at 11:13 ish

    Why the rush??
    Lawrence C.

Trying to order food for a starving six-year-old with two cars in the driveway I was rushed through my order which doesn't make any sense the restaurant doesn't close for another four hours. What's your rush? Let the patrons of your restaurant order more than one item at a time without you asking if this will complete my order. Your customer service is trash. Not the entire restaurant or staff just the woman working the drive-through window December 13 6:45 PM. You know who you are.

I did some research and found Fry Bread House on the way to the airport, a James Beard award winning restaurant, and it did not disappoint. I got the Birria taco with the dipping sauce and it was amazing. The meat was tender with a generous amount, topped with cheese and onions. The sauce was the star. I could only eat half and took the rest with me. It didn't travel as well but it still tasted good. If you are in the Phoenix area, make a stop here. They also have parking in the back which makes it easy.

I took a friend here, and we both got the ultimate fry bread taco! They offer it with ground beef, or red/green chili beef. The green chili was the spicier option, so we went with that. Shoutout to the lady at the register for taking the time to walk us through the menu so we could decide what we wanted. The fry bread is similar in concept to a pita combined with a funnel cake, I suppose. It's actually quite reminiscent of the Vietnamese Bánh Tiêu, if you've had that before. Texturally, its soft, tender, and cuts fairly easily. Couple that with the toppings of beans, cheese, onions, sour cream, and the beef, and you're in business. It really is like a massive taco, served open face, and you can eat it with your hands, with a fork and knife, or any combination of the two! It's fun! As an intro to the Native American cuisine of this side of America, it's a great beginning. It makes me wonder what other things I've been missing. Okay, it's gonna sound reductive, but the taco is pretty much a ginormous chalupa. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. We also ordered a dessert variant, with butter and chocolate sauce, and, as you can imagine, smothering anything with butter and chocolate sauce will make it taste great!

It was decently busy, but the line went pretty quick. We ordered the butter burger with cheese curds and a hot fudge malt, a sourdough met with onion rings and a peanut butter malt. My previous order was a few years ago and I recall it being pretty flavorful. My more recent order was light, crispy and served hot, though it didn't have much flavor. It wasn't bad; just not great. My memory could deceive me, but the portion size seemed slightly smaller. My order was prepared quickly and the employee was nice enough. I do, however, wish they had offered condiments such as lemon wedges which were never offered. I know lemon wedges were available in the past. If they still are, it would have been nice if the employee asked if I wanted any or if they could be requested through the app (which I didn't see). The ambiance is casual and the facility was clean. Be aware late night hours can draw large crowds and parking may be limited.

People treat fast food reviews like police reports, they only come calling when there is an issue…read more So I like to balance that out and provide reviews when fast food delivers! This drive-thru-only location is basically the Formula 1 pit crew of chicken sandwiches. The line can look terrifying, but somehow you still get your food faster than most places take to say "welcome in." The staff is consistently friendly, the food actually looks like the menu pictures (a miracle in fast food), and the whole operation runs with suspicious levels of efficiency. There is a patio if you're feeling adventurous, but this is Phoenix, where sitting outside half the year feels like volunteering to be slow-roasted. Thankfully, this spot is perfect for grabbing lunch on the go or picking up dinner on the way home. Fast, friendly, accurate, and reliable, the fast food equivalent of finding a shopping cart with all four wheels working.

So I'm updating my previous review because... plot twist, we had a situation…read more I originally gave this place 4 stars because overall they've been solid. Fast, efficient, food hits, no major complaints. But after my most recent experience, I'm dropping it to 3. I ordered online, paid ahead, did the whole "I'm a responsible adult" thing. I get there, give my name, pull up, and suddenly I'm told my total like I never paid. Then someone loudly calls out from the back, "OH! it declined." First of all... what? Second of all... inside voices?? Here's the kicker: it did NOT decline. I had the confirmation email, and my bank showed the charge (I didn't know this yet). Instead of verifying, she told me matter-of-factly that it declined, so I handed her the exact same card I used online, and she ran it again. Boom, double charged. And at that point, I'm starving and not about to fight over a fast food order, trusting that staff are doing their due diligence, not just assuming and casually charging a second $30 like it's no big deal in this economy. I had to go back through the drive-thru line (again), wait (again), and deal with it while my food sat getting soggy (not again, unfortunately, just once was enough). To their credit, the refund was issued and it did hit my account. So yes, they fixed it. That matters. But... this shouldn't have happened in the first place. It's a training issue. If an order is confirmed, don't assume it declined. And maybe don't announce someone's "declined card" across the building like it's a group discussion topic. Still a decent location... would be smart to verify before you charge people twice (maybe my expectations are too high?) and I will never order online again because of this, lesson learned first time around on that.

I did get the spicy viva burger to try as well, and didn't like it as much. It lacked depth of flavor and kinda just tasted spicy. Still a solid burger of course, but I would go back to the classic ones next time. During lent, they had their fish sandwich, which was INSANE. The best one we have ever had. The fish was crispy on the outside, flakey and buttery on the inside. The tartar sauce was perfectly tart and balanced the whole thing. I AM PRAYINGG it comes back for times other than lent. Ruined every other fish sandwich for me. We tried their fries both times we went, and honestly not a fan. They're beef tallow fries so they're supposedly "better" but they were pretty hard and oily, and have the meat taste from the beef tallow that I don't like, I would skip these. People start lining up before the truck opens so I suggest getting there 20 minutes early for quick service, otherwise you'll be looking at an hourish wait. But trust me, it's worth it

My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.

After ordering, my name was on a screen with approximate wait time for my food. Something like 8 minutes, so... maybe not the fastest food, but at least it's prepared to order. The grilled chicken caesar sandwich I ordered was tasty enough and the strawberry lemonade was nice and tart. While I was waiting for my food, another customer called out to me and loudly made sure I knew the restaurant was offering a free milkshake if I wrote them a 5 star review on Google.
