This is in the dining area of Cal Poly. It's perfect for students. However, if you're craving chick filet, parking is a little tricky. Then you have to order on a kiosk and wait for the order. I have never had my order shorter than 20 minutes. Be prepared to wait some time. This is a location on Cal Poly Campus... this is one of my favorite spots and I've never had a problem before. However this past Friday was one of the worst! The food had fly eggs... yes, you read that right FLY EGGS!!! I have never seen this served on food before, the Nuggets were still fresh and warm . IF YOU ARE TRAVELING AND THIS LOCATION POPS UP - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do not expect your normal Chick-Fil-A experience here. We got duped into going here while traveling down high 101 south to Southern CA. Asked Siri where the next Chick-fil-A was and she directed us here. Turns out, no drive through... turns out, it's in the middle of a college campus... Okay.. whatever, let's roll with it. So first off, no parking. It's in the middle of like a college cafeteria. That means you have to park far away and basically hike past a bunch of students who are probably wondering what you are doing on their campus. Once you find the location, it's a super whack setup. You cannot go up and order at the register. They have a bunch of kids working there - not sure if these are college kids or actual Chick-Fil-A employees or what is going on. So they tell you, "Go over there and use the Kiosk to place your order. Oh great... Okay, so Kiosk - I punch in my order (two orders of Chicken Mini's) and the screen shows the total is $144 dollar. Wait what?? Did I ask for 20 of these by mistake? No.. it just shows 2 10 piece. What in the heck? Maybe this Kiosk is broken? I try the one next to it... same thing 2 orders of 10 piece chicken mini's $144 something. What the heck??? Are these college kid prices or something? Makes no sense. Biggest waste of time ever. I just gave up and left. Don't have time for this kind silliness. Shame on Chick-Fil-A for running such a terrible location and not even disclosing to travelers that this is some half baked college location. read more

Payed for 90 min parking, came in and ordered. When my son came and told me it would be a 50 min wait I asked him why did he order? Never have I ever waited an hour for food from chick-fil-a!!! I normally only have good things to say about chick-fil-a but I think the other chick-fil-a's should come and show this one at the Cal Poly campus how it's done. So disappointed. If you are craving Chick-fil-A and you don't want to drive to Santa Maria - this is your only option! It is actually located in the student union on campus, so it is VERY popular amongst students. The setup is not your traditional Chick-fil-A, where you order at a counter and wait for your food. This location simply has dispensers with ready made food, that you can just grab and pay for. During peak times, this place is extremely busy so there can be a crowd of students waiting for the next batch of food to come out. They carry the traditional menu options - spicy chicken sandwich, nuggets etc. and they taste like any other Chick-fil-A. However they only have a limited menu, so don't expect them to have everything. Chick fil A always comes through. Food is always fresh and pretty quick. Almost all the employees are always nice so that's super cool and there have been some times when something is forgotten or the right cheese isn't put on BUT it's all good, it happens to all of us sometimes. Not a big deal. 98% of the time it's always correct lol However, I wish the parking lot was bigger. Strange thing to say I know but there's only one entrance and it merges with the drive-thru lanes so sometimes it sucks to have to wait out on the street and cause a traffic jam. So you're just kinda out there waiting to drive in even though you're not going to go through their drive-thru. There's ample space inside the restaurant to dine in and it's easy to distinguish which is the order line, pickup line, and doordash/Uber eats line so that's awesome. The app makes it so much easier too and you get points! This Chick-fil-A is the only one in town for Santa Barbara/Goleta so it's packed most of the time. Lunchtime is hectic but there are some times when there's just no one there. Drive-thru lines wait time is long but not too long. Faster than in-n-out for sure if you're a local and you know what's that's like. It's a great place to grub and the food is bomb; can't go wrong with chick fil a!
