Best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Nothing can beat their frosted lemonade. Waffle fries? Are you kidding me? Best fries ever created.

The food was cold when it came to us and the restaurant was dirty but the service was okay.

It's just how you'd expect a Chik-Fil-A should be. Only wished there was one closer to Alameda.

They should have more people working there, everytime I go buy, they are always out of fries and spicy chicken sandwiches.

We got a comfy booth of our choice, and began to order from the extensive menu, with super fun 50's themed names of items. The entire staff was so attentive, accommodating, and sweet. The favorite items ordered were basically all the sides and milkshake. The chicken sandwiches and burger were so fresh and juicy, sweet potato fries were phenomenal, and I was really impressed with the variety of foods available. Besides the traditional choices, there were tons of vegetarian options too. The Kid's meals were also ample and reasonably priced. We loved everything about our visit, playing pinball, & even getting up and dancing a bit at the end in the main walkway. Return visit in the future...absolutely!!! Well done.

I asked what makes them not vegan, as most bread is actually vegan by default. She said I don't know, we don't make them in house. Then asked her coworker if the buns are vegan and she said no and i heard her say "ya thats what I told her but she still asked". Quick question: how lazy are you and how little do you care about potential customers that you can't check the packaging of the buns? I asked the ingredients and all they said was no and didn't offer to check packaging, ask owner or cooks. I will never go here and will never suggest this to any veg friends (which is a huge miss for them, because I have a lot of vegan friends).

You also have a choice of a spread to come with your biscuits. There's a wide range of spreads to choose from, like apple butter, jalapeno, cinnamon, you name it! And 75¢ for any additional spreads. Because we happen to come during their blueberry festival, they had both original and blueberry biscuits to choose from. Our first order was blueberry then it was so good that we ordered plain biscuits to go! With a different spread, of course. Although it was a quick stop, I'd come back and try one of their plates because, boy! They looked delicious and very generous too.

Kind of a…read moresurprise because the only two other times I've been to SLO Ranch Baby Bear has been closed, so I was honestly surprised to see it open. I guess it is a Friday afternoon, and I mean, if a small restauranteur in a solo location can have limited hours I guess more power to them, hooray! I ordered the crispy chicken and grits and a side of fried okra, to go. I could have ordered anything on the menu and been pretty stoked to get my food, it all looks pretty good. Especially if you like pimento cheese, and I do. I ended up sitting at a table for a few minutes after my food was ready because I got a beer from a neighbor while I waited, and the okra looked too good to pass up while it was fresh. They clearly bread the okra on site, no Sysco bullshit here. And they dust it with some kinda seasoning that slaps. Plus the side of okra was enough to feed a small army if I wasn't the little piggy ya'll know me to be. 5 stars plus. GET. THE. OKRA. The crispy chicken is also breaded on site and fried to perfection. The menu said greens and silly me expected that to mean a mess of collards, cause it's a southern place, but it was a lightly dressed arugula with pickled onions, which I'm not mad at. I told you I'm a pimento cheese fan so no surprise I could have used one more spoon of it in the Chicken and Grits. No biggie, I'm a piggy. But the grits are kind of just an afterthought. Bland and boring and without the toppings would go straight in the trash. I've had amazing stone ground corn grits from the south... this ain't it. Maybe use corn broth to make them memorable or something? The bowl weighed probably 2.5 pounds, so those are some dense grits. Still, 5 stars for being open and making me happy. Would I get the grits again? Nah. Not at this point. But all those toppings are arranged together on several other menu items, and I'm looking forward to the next time I stumble on them while they are open. Kudos!

I opted to do a trio with the bahn mi, tip o' Argentina, and the garlic fries. The food was good I forgot to take a picture! The tip o' Argentina was solid with the garlic aioli and the chimmichurri perfectly complimenting the steak and the lettuce and tomato adding a little bit of freshness. The buns they use for all of their sliders are soft, slightly sweet, and don't fall apart while you're eating. The Bahn Mi was even better. I love pork but was a little skeptical about pulled pork on a slider riffing on the flavors of a bahn mi. To my surprise and delight, it tasted just like grilled Vietnamese pork, which was perfectly complimented by the fresh and pickled veggies and surprisingly hot jalapeño. Finally, I got the garlic fries which were a massive portion, crisp, and very garlicky. Everything was good and with such a large and customizable menu, I'd definitely return if I was in the area again. I also want to give a shout out to the bartender, Kelsey. I sat at the bar and her service was attentive and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We got the opportunity to chat for a bit and I loved her vibe, so definitely consider sitting at the bar if you're dining solo or with a friend.

It is a bit off the beaten path I thought, in a seemingly industrial area and parking was hard to find at 12:30 on a Monday. We had to go down the street and around the corner since the lot was full. I got a Gouda Burger, the summer crunch salad, and garlic fries. My wife and kid also had a slider but did Italian Sprouts, mac and cheese with bacon, and sweet potato fries. The slider was good- tasty but a little messy to eat. Both servings of fries were really generous. The salad was a good mix of ingredients. However the mac and brussels sprouts were a bit disappointing. For some there is no such thing as too much bacon but for us both of these dishes definitely had too much bacon- so much that we left a lot of the bacon! And don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my bacon. Overall, a good concept but we'll definitely try some non bacon dishes next time!
