I love Poke and I remembered there was a new poke place in the public market. I gave it a go. I did not enjoy the interactions with the employees. They seemed unhappy to be there and unhappy to serve you. Like I was bothering them for wanting to give their food a try. When my boyfriend was standing looking around one of the ladies asked "do you want anything?". Kind of rude don't you think? That's not how you greet someone who is potentially interested in your business. Not a single "can I help you" "do you have any questions". Just a "do you want anything" Everything was covered up so I didn't know what all they had - until was in front of the window and started to order. I didn't know how to start the order so I went with the proteins I wanted - like the other poke places I've gone to. She then said what mix-ins. I told her what I wanted. Then the proteins. Then she walked away to the other side where they had more items. You would think they would guide you instead of just walking away assuming you just know what to do. $16 or 18 for a small, I can't remember. You don't get much of anything. I would have rather drove to the other side of town to go to Poke Chef or PokeRito. You get more for what you pay for. The food was good but not worth what I paid for it. The ingredients looked fresh tho. I usually give places a second chance, but I'm not giving Poke Morro a second chance. I'll drive to the other side of town for Poke. You should probably work on your customer service skills because y'all lack it! I am not a peoplely person either but I will fake it 'till I make it. They clearly just did not care.

Stopped by this cute food hall as I was driving down to LA. You'll order your bowl around a small poke bar with the server. I got a small poke bowl which was a bit pricey. However, I appreciate that they offer a variety of toppings.

$18 for a super small bowl but I guess that's just slo pricing for you. The thing that really sucked was that the salmon tasted like it went bad. Super fishy

The chicken tasted like it was sitting for few days. Don't waste your time or money.

Last minute order for pizza and wings and boy am I glad this was recommended to me…read more The pizza was delicious, full of cheese, the sauce was tasty and the pizza crust was buttery and garlicky standard. My only issue with the pizza was the girl who took my order forgot to say pepperoni on the entire thing, however it was loaded with toppings. Lots of mushrooms and bacon. The wings were nice and plump and the sauce was tasty! A great buffalo sauce. I just wish they were a little more well done. They are delicious though

I asked the front desk for their recommendations, and of course they recommended a place next door and while it was fancy with an elaborate menu, my low blood sugar state was craving some serious high calories so I opted for Gino's as it was also very close to my hotel. When I entered the place, I was the only customer there. I wanted to order the lasagna, but the nice young lady taking my order mentioned it would take some time to prepare, so I asked what she suggests something big and won't take long to make and it was classic spaghetti & meatballs, so I ordered that. Five minutes after sitting down, the young lady brought me a huge Cesar's salad. I'm not a big salad guy, but this was delicious! The lettuce was very fresh and the sauce and croutons were surprising very tasty. It was so good, I had to compliment her for making such a nice salad. A few minutes later a good size plate of spaghetti & meatballs arrived and two large pieces of garlic bread. Everything was satisfyingly good. I dined on this feast for 45 minutes and made the short walk back to the hotel feeling great. It was so good, I went again the next day and tried the lasagna. That too was good sized and very delicious. Next time I'm in SLO, I'll definitely come back again.

I'm not usually one to leave reviews but my friend & I felt extremely compelled to leave one this…read moretime. We were driving through slo and decided to stop at High Street Deli. I ordered a simple turkey sandwich on a sourdough roll with chipotle mayo, mustard, onion, etc. Do not let the simplicity of this order fool you. This was genuinely the best sandwich I have ever tasted in my entire life. Every ingredient stayed perfectly in place when going for a bite, they didn't skimp out on the amount of turkey, and the roll was toasted to absolute perfection. The crew at this shop is NOT messing around. With every bite, we thought of what diction we could use for this review to describe it. I could go on and on about how magical this sandwich was, but I urge you to go try it for yourself. Thank you High Street Deli staff for making our day!

High Street Deli completely exceeded my expectations with their sandwiches. After trying it, I…read moretotally understand why it's so loved. After 4 PM, they offer the "420 Special," which makes their sandwiches only $9. They also have online ordering, which I attempted to use, but they had already reached their limit for online orders because they were so busy. And after visiting, I can see why! Despite the crowd, they've perfected their sandwich ordering system, it's super efficient. When you walk in, you fill out a small paper checklist with your order and hand it to one of the employees at the register. They submit your order, you pay, and then wait for your sandwich. Expect at least a 25-minute wait, especially during busy hours. I tried the Tropical Vacation sandwich: smoked turkey, jalapeño havarti, "the works," romaine, sprouts, avocado, honey mustard, cranberry sauce, and sliced sourdough. I swapped the sourdough for Dutch Crunch bread, and it was PERFECT. It was the thickest, juiciest, and most flavorful sandwich I've ever had. I'll be dreaming about it until I can have it again. The pictures truly don't do these sandwiches justice, they were massive. I also tried the Spring Club sandwich. It was just as thick and delicious, though not quite as juicy as the Tropical Vacation. Honestly, I want to try ALL of their sandwiches because I have no doubt they're all amazing. The shop itself is super cute with a vintage feel, and they also offer a wide variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Food: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Overall: 9/10
