What could go wrong with Chick-Fil-A?! When you have a bite of their chicken biscuit sandwich, or a sip of their milkshake....YUM YUM. This was the go-to spot when I was in high school. They are a fierce competitor to In-n-Out right next door (Phil's BBQ two doors down, this is a food haven) but Chick-Fil-A was always a constant support during middle school and high school rallies. Fundraisers were held here, and it's a tradition! Service here is always stellar. While food quality is not as good as before, but this place is filled with beautiful memories. They changed it so now you either have to sit and rot in the huuuuge drive thru line or you have to order from an app to get take out. They app makes you create an account and give them all your personal information and you can't give your order to a human over the counter. I strongly believe and support Chik Fil A, their values, their food standards and especially their service. Thatsupport was shattered at the San Marcos store today 1007am I pulled in to drive through, surprised there was no line (Chik has beat the pandemic by fast reliable swrvice in every case ..except this situation). I was greeted by a great team and learned I would need to wait an extra five minutes for spicy breakfast. I accepted the response and made a lesser favored choice. 1009 I pulled forward, and was positioned second in line. A Chik rep was talking to the car being served 1020 No service, no recognition for the delay 1025 assuming the front car had a large order I asked if the front car could move to a wait line. The Chik rep said that wouldn't help. The kitchen was running behind. "not a lot can be done" 1032. I pulled forward, received my food without the typical Chik manners Disappointed? I was just at this location and watched a female employee (with dark hair and green chick fil a sweater) on break, she was coughing, runny red nose, obviously sick. She blew her nose several times Durocher break. And then when she was done, she went back to work without washing her hands, handling and packaging to go orders. Parking at this Chick-fil-A location is a challenge if it's your first time here. I drove into drive through lane and had to back up and find a place to park. Dining area is a nice size. Some of the tables have not been wiped down in the dining area. Food portions seemed smaller than other locations. I did ask for my order as dine in and was given a to go bag. No one is waking around to see if you need anything. Overall not a place to dine in , but rather drive through mainly due to parking and lack of customer interaction compared to other locations. read more

My girlfriend and I went to get some ice cream after work because she had gone here earlier and it was really small. So she asked this time could she get a large cone and they said there was only one size. My girlfriend understood this and asked if they could just make it bigger and charge her more. They just suggested she get it in a cup. She explained to them that she wanted the whole swirl, not to squish the other ice cream on top of it. The girl was nice and said she would go ask her manager, but came back out and said there was nothing they could do. When my girlfriend got up to the window, they at first forgot her cone, then handed her a cone with two little swirls. Very disappointing visit today. So I go to chik-fil-a for breakfast this morning went through the drive-through the gentleman took my order and asked if I wanted sauces, I told him what I wanted. Go to the 2nd person a pay for my food, go to the drive-through window and here's where it gets interesting. I asked the lady at the window for a honey because I forgot to ask the order taker. She gets on her headset and rudely blurts out to the order takers "you need to ask customers what sauces they want for their orders" I told the lady "its my fault he asked me what sauces I wanted, I simply forgot to ask for honey because my wife wanted honey. I thought she would said that's OK she goes on to hand me my order. I asked her was the ketchup and hot sauces in the bag? She says, "whatever you ordered is in the bag" very rudely. So I call the store when I got home and ask for a manager, The lady who answered the phone said I'm one of the managers, I go on to explain my episode at the store and (I think it was the same person) she gets really defensive and says "that's how we talk to our employees to remind them of getting sauces right. Stick to the drive-thru. If you go in to use the bathroom and you look any type of suspicious, the managers will go in about every minute and exclaim "restroom check!" Really makes you feel unwelcome having no breathing room; especially when the minute you exit the stall some employee immediately opens the same stall and checks it. How uncomfortable. I washed my hands and left the restroom and manager eyed me down like she was the LAPD. Managers: if you're going to be that on edge about a guy using your bathroom, at least make your prejudice less obvious. read more

Anyways i say cool and wanted to try dine in online order wich is going to a table and scanning the number and they bring it to you . So i get there some time goes by 10-15 mins and nothing the app even ask have i received my order i said no than i hear order for my name and they placed it on the delivery driver shelf mind you im here for dine in no one ever came up to me i went up after 5 mins and saw it was my food even the receipt on bag shows the table number i sat at and thats its for dine in so after all that i could have just got in line or gone through drive through also not to mention almost every table was dirty with crumbs or random stuff on it and all the trash cans were overfilling i watch another customer crumble his trash and try to place it in there withput falling over read more

Chick-fil-A is slowly turning into the next McDonald's. I just went through the drive-through and was told that they no longer do well done fries. Their fries are delicious when they're crunchy and not soggy but most the time if you don't get them well done, they come out soggy so very disappointing. read more

This is the second time I have gone there and they didn't fill up the fries. I get a medium size and they put like five fries and filled up the rest of the fries container with sauces. There was more sauces then fries. Also if you go and redeem your free things and get nothing else they just throw things together. I am assuming it annoys them when customers do that so they give you crappy service. read more

One of my favorite restaurants for chicken sandwiches. Clean, large restaurant for both families and business people. The staff is very courteous and the restaurant is always clean and inviting.Good location, and usually easy to get in and out; however, because there are other restaurants in the shopping center it can be congested at times, especially at lunchtime. I've been coming to this Chick-Fil-A since high school when they first opened, and I have never had a negative experience. The service is friendly, fast, and patient. The food is always fresh, steaming hot, and delicious. There is plenty of seating indoors and usually they decorate it nicely with some cute table decor. There's also WiFi in store as well, in case you want to do work here (students love it!). The drive-thru and in-store lines usually move pretty quickly. Happy that we have a solid Chick-Fil-A so close to our house. TIP: get the Chick-Fil-A app to be in the know! This month of March for San Diego stores, there was free breakfast options for each week. After repeating my order 10 times over the intercom, and waiting 20 minutes in the drive through behind 3 vehicles. They managed to get the order incorrect. This isn't an issue, mistakes happen. However, when I went inside it turns out one or two of the employees was incredibly high and needed me to say 'egg biscuit bacon no cheese' 3 times, to turn around and forget while instructing the ONLY cook to drop what they're doing to fulfill my order. I don't know the processes but I know the employees at this location take zero initiative helping each other out and to see a single employee slaving away filling orders while others are high and messing it up, without any apology after correcting their mistake is beyond unprofessional. I know they're kids but this is unacceptable, employment of unsatisfactory employees shouldn't throw their own team under the bus while making customers late to work. read more

My first time here. 1:00 PM on a Thursday. Parking lot was packed, drive thru was packed. Went inside and I was #31 in a long line. However, I had my order in only about 10 minutes. Excellent service. Great attitude by the staff. Deluxe chicken sandwich was very good, very big, & only $4.00. However, their waffle fries were awful: limp & undercooked (they needed a shot of Viagra). Chick-Fila has a fabulous reputation. We were STUCK in the drive through line for 35 minutes yesterday with only 6-8 cars in front of us. We missed an important appointment because of it and when we reached the front of the line I suggested to the manager that if they know they are dramatically short staffed (which I totally understand and am very aware of) and KNOW the line will take MUCH longer than usual they should put up signage out at the entry point to the drive through line that there will be a substantial delay. Or waive customers off before they get stuck in the gauntlet. Once you pull into the curb sided drive through line you CANNOT get out of the line and are just plain stuck. The manager just shrugged her shoulders while an argumentative younger man in a black shirt behind her responded with "You chose to get in this line". What the hell kind of customer service is that? One of the primary reasons we never question long lines at chick fil a is because they have 'best in industry' flow through in their process. It's like a machine how well it normally works. "Every Chick-Fil-A is the same" some might say. But honestly, this location pulls into the number one spot. It's never a hit or miss, it's always a HIT. The service is always exceptional. Management clearly hires the right people because everyone is so sweet. The food is obviously great. And I love how someone checks up on you inside the establishment when you eat in, asking if you need refills, sauces, etc. Even though I can always do that myself, it's definitely the thought that counts. Why do people continue to lower their food standards and give great reviews to substandard food? I ordered two chicken sandwiches and a large fries. The two chicken sandwiches were slapped together in a rush. The cheese actually had a corner hanging over the side of the little box. My wife's sandwich was pretty much the same. Finally, the fries were soggy with oil, not crunchy or hot. Altogether the bill came up to about 15$ These are not cheap sandwiches. Yet they serve them as if they were 99 cent burgers off a kids menu. I feel completely ripped off. Next time I'll get to Popeyes where they always get it right the first time. read more

I came here for breakfast since I was craving them again. I got the fruit parfait as well as their breakfast sandwich. The line was ridiculous but I don't blame them for being busy. My friend didn't receive her lemonade and once we got her lemonade and the worker walked away she realized that she was given fried nuggets instead of grilled nuggets. And when she went to ask for new nuggets the worker didn't even apologize for the mistake. Unprofessional and unacceptable in my opinion. Let me start with the customer service. Customer service here is phenomenal! Everyone is so incredibly nice and helpful. My favorite meal is the spicy chicken sandwich. It is not spicy for me but I choose it because it has a nice seasoned flavor. I typically order buffalo sauce and barbeque sauce for this sandwich. The waffle fries are really good too! I usually finish those because I am able to get back work to eat my lunch. Which brings me to their drive thru. They have such an awesome system where the employees come out and take your order instead of you having to wait to order at the speaker, so by the time you get to the window your order is ready. This makes the line go by a lot faster than it's counterpart next door. The inside of the restaurant is extremely clean which is a plus too! read more

Stopped for lunch at 1pm. This place is located in the Creekside Marketplace. Which has many eateries. We pulled up through drive-thru, Guy was waiting outside to take our orders. Very friendly. The hubby ordered the Spicy chicken deluxe meal, I got the Deluxe w/American & Nuggets for the our lil chickadee. The chicken was so juicy, I enjoyed every last bite.
