Grilled Chicken & Avo BLT. Fresh ingredients. It's fine but not amazing.

I'm not a Panera fan and I probably will never be one. Sorry. It's just the ultimate cookie cutter restaurant and they all look and feel perfectly identical. HOWEVER, my bagel sandwich was legitimately very good. Was it worth 10 bucks? Probably not, but it was delicious and filling. And it came with a tiny bag of chips (you can get an apple or a small piece of baguette instead, if you prefer). The bagel I tried was the Spicy Steak Asiago Bagel Stack (stack?) which comes with steak, provolone, salsa verde spread, red onions, arugula, and sweet peppers. It's definitely on the spicier side, which I like. There is a lot going on here with all the ingredients but overall, it's very good. Also, it's only available for a limited time. I also sampled the Grilled Chicken and Avo BLT and it was fine but nothing amazing. In fairness, there is only so much you can do with the basic sandwich. The ingredients were fresh and the bread was good. Panera does bread really good, no question. Their mac and cheese is also solid. This Panera location is brand spanking new and even has a drive through, which I didn't know Panera restaurants offered. The interior was clean but not as spacious as I expected. There is plenty of free parking in the lot. Am I a Panera fan now? No, but the food is high quality and, damn it, their bread is really very good.

Once a Favorite, Now a Disappointment I've been a 25+ years Panera customer, and their cinnamon bagels used to be "legendary"-warm, flavorful, and generously sized. Unfortunately, the bagels have noticeably shrunk while prices have gone up. What once felt like a treat now feels more like something you'd pick up at a 7-Eleven. My recent visit was also a customer service headache. When I arrived to pick up my order, the staff couldn't locate my name in the system, even after I gave my phone number three times. The ordering system showed I was eligible for a free baguette, but because they couldn't find my name, I was told I couldn't get it. Good customer service would have been to honor the reward, especially after I spent over \$55 on smaller-than-usual bagels with no cream cheese included. For a place that built its reputation on quality and hospitality, this was a real letdown. Unless something changes, I may not be returning anytime soon.

Clean fast to get to a good food. Super friendly people I would highly recommend go there as fast in and out.

Brand new location in San Marcos, California. Panera's sourdough multigrain loaf is pure California bliss--golden crust, airy crumb, earthy grains, and a taste that's irresistible. Paired with olive oil and balsamic, each bite invites you to savor life's beauty, like a warm California sunbeam wrapped in wholesome, tangy-sweet delight.

Great choice for a solo lunch, like myself. The menu has all the hits, so I went with the BST ramen. I loved that it came out piping HOT. Super hot!! It really kept its warmth for most of the meal too, this is such a clutch part to good ramen many restaurants overlook. Flavors were amazing. Service was friendly and prompt. For small bites she said the Pork Gyoza is the most popular appetizer so I had to try it. The pan fried edges made for a wonderful texture as well as the pork filling. Definitely a great way to start the meal. For the my main entree she recommend I try the BST signature ramen that features a Sio Tonkotsu Base with Black Umami Garlic Oil. For a first timer at Ramen Mik this was an excellent choice with its rich, creamy broth surrounded by fresh garlic, stir fried vegetables, green onion and ginger. The noodles were fresh and had an excellent bite to them. It was a very tasty bowl of ramen and I recommend trying the BST. Overall great first time experience at Ramen Mik as service was great, plenty of seating and parking making it very accessible. Can't wait to come back and try their other dishes such as Japanese curry, beef bowls and tonkatsu.

For this visit, I tried the beef pares for the first time. I don't recall my family ever making it, so I thought I'd give it a go. It reminded of adobo but sweet with a little hint of star anise. The only drawback was bitting into little pieces of it, but overall, I enjoyed it. It is a small spot, so seating is first come, first serve. The staff is always friendly and the music selection is always good. If you're lucky you might even hear Ate signing from the kitchen.

One of the ladies at the counter seemed like she didn't want us there or she was just done for the day. She definitely did not give friendly vibes at all. We also weren't served any water at all, while we watched every single customer that came after us get served water. We had to ask for some at the counter, and even then, there were no apologies for forgetting or anything. Like we were really supposed to ask for it, but everyone else didn't. The lechon kawali was tough--it's supposed to be crunchy, but it was far from that. It was hard and dry more than anything. The pork sinigang was supposed to have pork belly as stated in their menu, but it did not seem like it was pork belly at all--more like remnants or trimmings from unwanted pork bits. Some pieces were chewy and didn't look very appetizing. Sinigang is also supposed to be sour from the tamarind, but the soup we got was extremely watered down that you only get the slightest hint of sourness from it. The lumpiang sariwa was okay--nothing to write home about. On top of all that, we came during a very hot day and were excited to have some halo-halo, only to find out that they have run out. In the span of time we were there eating, we have watched them tell maybe 4 or 5 groups of customers that they're all out of halo-halo. I get that their halo-halo is special and different than the usual ones you get elsewhere, but you'd think they'd be more prepared for this, seeing that this is not their first summer rodeo... I'm not sure if this is an every day thing for this place, but I'm really hoping it's not. I don't think we'll be coming back after the experience we just had.

My favorites are way too many to list, but I especially do love the Tomato Bisque Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl. It comes with croutons and shaved cheese for the top. Sometimes I want soup, but don't feel like making all the elements from scratch. The Grilled Brie, Havarti with Apples & Fig Jam Sandwich is perfectly toasted and tart, as well as sweet. The sandwich has a crusty outer coating of Parmesan. Very savory. I love all their sandwiches, both hot and cold. All their sandwiches come with a little Side Salad (with Balsamic Vinaigrette) or a bag of Kettle Chips. You can't go wrong here. From the Bakery, I like their Chocolate Croissants and Blueberry Scones. But really, anything sweet at Boudin Bakery is delectable and fresh.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell this restaurant takes pride not only in the food but also in the atmosphere. The space is bright, clean, and well-organized, with a calm energy that makes dining here both relaxing and enjoyable. The menu offers an incredible variety--pho, rice dishes, noodles, sandwiches, boba drinks, and more--so it's easy to find something that suits your taste. Each dish feels thoughtfully prepared, with fresh ingredients and balanced flavors that stand out. A must-try appetizer is the shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. They arrive fresh and neatly wrapped, with crisp vegetables, perfectly cooked shrimp, and that creamy, nutty peanut sauce that ties everything together. Light yet satisfying, they're a great way to start your meal. Another standout is the pork sandwich (Bánh Mì), which feels like a labor of love. The baguette is toasted just right--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside--filled with tender, flavorful pork that's marinated to perfection. Add in the pickled carrots, cucumber, jalapeños, and sprigs of cilantro, and you get an amazing balance of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors. Each bite is a perfect mix of texture and taste, making it one of the best Bánh Mì sandwiches you'll find in North County. Don't miss the fried rice, a fragrant and well-seasoned dish that's both comforting and rich. The only minor drawback is that the protein--such as chicken, shrimp, or beef--comes separately. Still, the quality makes it worthwhile. For drinks, the boba teas are superb--smooth, not overly sweet, and made with fresh tapioca pearls that have just the right chew. While parking can sometimes be tricky, Chef's Pho & Grill more than makes up for it with its excellent food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're craving a quick lunch, a cozy dinner, or a refreshing drink, this place is absolutely worth a visit.
