I have never eaten at Chick-Fil-A before. Decided to try the spicy sandwich. The service was outdoors, fast and friendly, I mean the drive thru lines were operated by employees standing outside personally greeting the clients. The line was around the corner and their team did a fantastic job getting the orders taken quickly and delivered from the window. I order from here one or twice a week. Today I ordered a four count nugget and hash browns. I got to work and saw I only had the nuggets. I called and asked for a manager and Julie says "I'm an assistant manager". When I told her what happened. She said I remember your order and proceeds to ARGUE with me about it. Never offered me a discount on my next meal for not having a complete meal or any kind of reparation. I am at work and cannot leave. Now I am still hungry. She is terrible at customer service. My work buddies and I were down in Sarasota to visit some Target stores and we needed a quick lunch and everyone wanted to get some quick food. I had heard great things about Chick-Fil-A. I got the side salad and a grilled chicken sandwich, it was just your basic stuff and they had no refills on their drinks. BIG minus one on the stars for me since I can drink about 4 or 5 Diet Cokes at a sit down restaurant. The sandwich was pretty much your basic chicken sandwich and the salad was pretty big, which was cool. It came with some crispy chips, which was a nice plus. It was clean and everyone seemed to like the place, but I didn't really see the huge appeal about the establishment. read more

I am always head over heels for Chick-fil-A drive-through at the Clark location. Every time we come here they have multiple people outside of the drive-through helping us coordinate our meals to be the freshest in most accurate way possible. One of the worst ran Chick -fil-A in the country. We go out of our way to the Pelican Plaza location bc it's ran better, the workers are friendly and they participate and support the community (Ashton school nights). I called this location to speak with a manager or owner to offer feedback for improvement. The lines pour out into the main road while they have one lane open with 2 workers. They have two lanes - even just opening the other could cut down the congestion and traffic. Pelican Plaza does it right. Julie answered there was no apology just complaints that no one wants to work and if I knew of ppl who did to send them to her. Well I'm guessing no one wants to work for this location after speaking to her. I will continue to drive past and out of my way to avoid this location and others should too. I drove past the university location 10 min later So I thought I'd try it. Again they have it down. They have multiple lines open. Opportunity to use the order ahead. It's great. I visit this store frequently and have consistently had excellent experiences there for years. Today I received exceptional, outside of the box service from Jessica and I wanted to give her kudos. In order to do so, I have to embarrass myself, but that's ok. I ran out of gas as I was backing out of my parking space. So there I sat, blocking traffic momentarily, and Jessica came to my rescue. Without batting an eye, she told me to put my car in neutral and she would push it back into the space for me. I called the store later and asked to send something to her to show my appreciation and she insisted that it was "her pleasure" and that a thank you was not necessary. I have been going to this (Sarasota) location since it open. For the most part the experience has been fine and the food has always been what you expect However this morning I waited in the drive though (which is expected) for a bit before being told that they don't have the same menu as the other locations. I get that they are all individually owned but I feel that the menus should be consistent. As it was 10:20 I was advised that I could wait for 10 minutes to get a spicy chicken sandwich but couldn't get it on a biscuit. And that would also mean I would have to let the other breakfast items I ordered get cold. Being that it was so close to the cut off I feel that this was very bad customer service. When we go to the window no body is there so it took forever to pay and then even longer to find my order due to them never asking my name to figure out whose order it was. Did drive-thru here. Pulled in thinking it would take forever because the line went from one side right to the other, almost to the street. Service was sooooo fast. I couldn't believe how quick we were up to place our order. The people are really friendly too, friendlier than most fast food chains. This location is popular because it is too packed. The line for dine-in/take out is out the door. Same goes with the drive through line and there are no spots available to park. Environment: The washroom cleanliness were above average and there were plenty of seating inside. +1 star Service: The issue with the wait is that there was only 3 cashiers taking orders. The cashier were friendly yet forgetful. They forgot my ice cream cone (I had to remind them) but I don't blame them because I could tell they were busy and stressed. +1 star Food: I came here with family and I had the chicken salad sandwich, ice cream cone and chargrilled chicken strip garden salad (see photos). The chicken strips were salty as heck! but the chicken salad sandwich was quite yummy though definitely not filling enough and not worth $6. The ice cream cone ($1.19 for small) made my day but its no comparison to McDonald's ice cream cone ($1). +1 star for having ice cream cones! This location does have a playground for the little rascals but every time I see a playground I think of all the bacteria that's transferred. -shivers-. read more

I LOVE Chick-fil-a!!!!!!! There food is amazing!! My favorite item to get is the chicken nuggets. Also there milkshakes are delicious. I usually get a chocolate one but they also have other flavors like cookies and cream! It's also better for you. It's kid friendly and they have an indoor play area!!! That's my favorite part. I am 12 and I like to take my younger siblings in there and play with them. The staff is also really nice and it is Christian based. The only bad thing about Chick-fil-a is that they are closed on Sundays but it's still worth it. I definitely recommend going there. - Marlee read more

This is the worst Chick-fil-A location in Sarasota. Avoid if possible. Fruitville location is always pleasant, efficient, and they allow you to customize your order. At the Clark road location, I requested my waffle fries be made well-done. Something I do 2-3 times per week at the Fruitville location with no issues. I was told that Clark toad no longer does well-done. What does that even mean? I asked why and was told that it "takes too long" .... like... where are you going? Do you have to be somewhere that you can't take a request from a customer that takes an extra two minutes?? I told them I was willing to wait as long as they needed to to throw my batch of fries back in the fryer a second time. I was told that it's not possible. Now I'm eating soggy fries because they can't be bothered to make them well done, let alone fully cooked to begin with. Believe me, as a customer service person, understand that efficiency is important. However, if a customer is willing to stand aside and wait for their special request, they should be given the courtesy of receiving it. I won't be back to this location. I purposely went to this Chick-fil-A on Clark Road because I had a coupon with no expiration date on it for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich. I was ordering two sandwiches that afternoon. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on a gluten-free bun and a Chick-fil-A sandwich with a large fry. When I got to the window to pay for the order they wouldn't take the coupon. When I got home I noticed that my sandwich did not have a gluten-free bun.I'd be hard-pressed to eat here again. read more

As many times as we eat here, we could have afforded to buy our own chain already! Love this place. Always fresh and hot food.
