We recently discovered this restaurant and are so glad we did. The service was amazing and the food was great. What really impressed me was a wash station that was right inside the entrance. No need to visit the restroom if all you need to do is wash up before your meal. My husband and I split the 5 Crispy Tenders and Fries meal. The tenders were huge and it was plenty of food for the two of us. Everything was perfect. We will be back. read more

Skip this location. We came here after a Sunday beach day. We came with 4 kids. The kids meals consisted of the usual 2 tenders but literally only 5 fries each. One child got 6 because hers were tiny. This meal was not worth the cost at all. They said that's usual but this isn't the usual in our town where we normally get pdq. read more

Well they redeemed themselves! I received a $10 birthday coupon, so we decided to give them another chance. The tenders were smaller but we're still delicious. Service was great and they did a good job of cleaning the tables after people left. Bath' soda now has a cream soda along with their root beer. Haven't had a cream soda in along time, it was pretty good. read more

2nd year coming back here and I can't believe I'm saying this, but the food is better than chick fil a and I'm all for chick fil a, like I don't eat any fast food other than chick fil a. The fries at PDQ are definitely better, perfectly crisp. All the sandwiches definitely have a bigger piece of chicken as well. We tried the Jacked spicy, Honey Chicken, and the crispy deluxe. This year, they brought back the Zucchini Fries and I'm so happy I got a chance to try them. So worth it! Service is quick, and I like that they have the Coca Cola freestyle machines so you have more fountain drink options. Outdoor seating always perfect for the summer. read more

Good food. Friendly staff. It's not my favorite thing in the world but some of my family members love it and I'm never opposed to eating here. I do like that they have a lot of options from sandwiches, salads, tenders/nuggets, etc. they don't just have a chicken sandwich or a salad but several options of each. They also have some unique things like zucchini fries. Overall a good spot, especially love the convenience of drive thru for working days. read more

I took my little guy to this location for the first time yesterday. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They helped us understand the menu as we were first timers. The chicken tenders were some of the best we've ever had, and highly approved by a five-year-old. The fries were also awesome. They have several options for sauces, but I wasn't a fan of either of the two I tried (PDQ sauce and ranch). I'm more of a purist, and I felt like the sauces of scared the taste of the chicken. It is definitely a compliment that the chicken is so good that no sauce is needed! We loved our meal and we will be back. read more

In a recent visit, I bit into a chicken sandwich that seemed to have a spongey and strange texture. After taking another bite, I realized that the chicken was raw inside! I discarded the sandwich and told a staff member. I was provided with a new sandwich, which I could not eat after losing my appetite. PDQ started out with an expansive menu that included lots of healthy bowls, turkey sandwiches that reminded you of thanksgiving, different fries, tatchos (loaded tots) and zucchini fries. All of the amazing things have been slowly but surely eliminated as this brand attempts to tremendously take off in a direction similar to chick fil a. In fact, their menu is chick fil a, down to the waffle fries. It's not bad food. If you're looking for chick fil a without the super pleasurable service, accept no substitute. read more

A good lunch stop I made a quick stop for lunch today. My order taker was way cheerful and certainly brightened my visit. They offered a new sandwich, a 4 River Smokehouse Sandwich, which looked very good in the advertising photos, so I gave it a try. By the time I managed to get my drink, my food was ready. The sandwich was very good. It had a large piece of chicken, quite thick at one end, and a sweet sauce. The thin cut fries were excellent. Aside from one spot kind of blocked off, the restaurant was clean and appeared to be well maintained. They have a drive thru and while there was no line to order at the counter, the place was a little busy. For those Pokemon inclined, there is a Pokemon gym at the restaurant, so you can battle away as you enjoy some good food. read more

I went through the drive through on my way from work. When I got home I unwrapped the sandwich and happened to set it down upside down. There was mold on several parts of the bottom bun. They did issue a refund but I would hope they would be more cautious with the quality of their food. read more

I've driven by this place for years and always wanted to stop in and finally I did -- and it was worth the trip. I now understand that their specialty is chicken tenders -- and the menu had quite a variety of choices. I was looking for a bit healthier so I ordered a chicken caesar salad -- and the chic on the salad was delish! Along with a diet coke it was under $10. If I was on the Tamiami trail shopping again, i would stop here -- before the Sweet Tomatoes or even perhaps as an alternative to the soup and salad at Olive Garden (both nearby). I'd also say the place must be good as there was a table of nurses, a table of 6 Sarasota County sherrifs, and an ambulance crew. I felt pretty safe and thought having them all there was a pretty good endorsement. Give it a try! read more

I randomly searched for quick bites by the beach and PDQ did not disappoint! It is a very nice fast food restaurant that serves chicken. I had the grilled chicken salad with zucchini fries and my boyfriend had nuggets and a chicken sandwich with regular fries. Everything was delicious! The chicken was very tender and juicy and I loved the blueberry-ginger dressing on my salad. Also, I am a sauce aficionado and PDQ has an assortment of homemade sauces and they were awesome. I personally think that Chick-Fil-A is a tad better but PDQ was great and about a 15 minute drive from the beach. read more

The food was good but the dark haired man behind the bar at lunchtime today 2/21/22 was lousy. I hope he's the owner or he wouldn't be keeping his job- disinterested, did not smile once. I hope he isn't in some sort of life crisis, but if he is, he needs to clock out and go take care of it. My family and I arrived in Florida for vacation and we're driving by this place. It was our first time trying it out, we really enjoyed it! It tasted very different from your typical chick fil a sandwich. They have amazing, I repeated amazing dipping sauces! YOU MUST TRY THEM ALL! Such unique flavors! We stayed at the only hotel on the island and that place has changed as well. It now has a bar and a food truck that parks on the side, didn't eat there but thought it was convenient nun-the less. After an afternoon of walking the strip and day drinking it was time for some pie. After checking in on some of the pizza joints, none of which served slices, we found this place on one of the side streets. It really needs to be on the strip and exposed. It was late in the evening and was surprised by the selection. Decided on pepperoni and jalapeno slices. The slices were thin and crispy, good cheese and sauce. The place has plenty of seating inside and out. Next time when we're down that way I will have to get in there early in the day and try a sandwich. All in all, if your looking for a slice and not a whole pie, this is the place. Give it try and see what you think, peace.

For lunch, I ordered the lobster maki roll. I'm not a big sushi fan, but I was intrigued. This lobster roll was one of the best sushi rolls I've had in a long time. Also ordered include the blackened grouper sandwich, billionaire burger, and tempura shrimp appetizer. Our group loved every entree. The cocktails were also refreshing. I really loved my jalapeño watermelon margarita. Our server was wonderful - very friendly and quick service. Definitely an enjoyable lunch or dinner spot!

The parking place had ample parking where you needed a mobile app to pay for your parking. There was a larger souvenir store there if you needed to kill time before your seating. Once it was our time for our dinner reservations, we were greeted and seated at our table. Our waitress was a bit sarcastic or had a witty comments that didn't sit well with my kids. When ordering our foods, the kids asked what type of drinks they had since it was not listed on the menu. She said Coke but didn't elaborate that they had Coke products. Since she said Coke so fast our daughter didn't hear the response and asked her the question again where she just said that's a great question and ignored her and moved on. Food wise - we had the Peruvian ceviche, Peruvian chicken, I think I had a special grouper dish. The food was good. We were able to eat everything and the kids enjoyed their kids burger meals. Outside of the waitress comments, the place placed nice modern music to listen to and had the basketballs games playing on the tv at the bar.

There is seating both inside and outside, and I like that you can see them cooking! They also do daily special sandwiches and monthly special loaves. I want to come back to try more sandwiches and get some other flavors of focaccia to take home!
