I'm not over exaggerating when I say this was seriously the best chicken salad I've ever had. If you come here you need to get the Sassy Scotty. It's a unique combination of cheese & bacon that you usually don't see! We got our food quickly and decided to eat in because the place was super adorable- not to mention spotless. When Jim 'N Nick's was announced, I was excited because although it's not "local", it was my 2nd barbecue experience when I first moved to Tennessee back in 2009. To be honest, most other barbecue restaurants follow this design around here and I prefer it for barbecue. You order once at the counter and get your own refills. They do have a bar here and a pretty efficient drive-thru, but I dined in with my kids that night. My daughter got the pulled pork sandwich kid's meal with a baked potato and my son got chicken tenders and mac 'n cheese. I usually get ribs but seeing how I ate barbecue earlier that day, I just got a 1 piece catfish plate with collard greens and a side salad... I know I know, kind of blasphemous but I vouch to return next time and try actual barbecue. I did order an appetizer of deviled eggs though. The salad was good (I mean it's a salad but it wasn't wilty, so that's all that matters.) The collard greens were tasty and not too bitter. The deviled eggs were fantastic, delicious and creamy with a slight sweetness to it. My catfish was excellently fried with a good base corn meal seasoning and the tartar sauce was icing on the cake. However I made the mistake of ordering 1 filet. The cashier told me they were big but they were NOT. It was a chicken tenderloin sized filet, which left me hungry that night. For the record, just pat a couple bucks more and get 2 filets. Hopefully they will be bigger than what I got....my kids let me have a bite or 2 of their food and I liked the pulled pork and the chicken tenders. The chicken tender was juicy and not at all dry (an indication of freshness). Overall I will come back. I have had their actual barbecue before and I know it's good. Everything was great, even down to the service. A great new restaurant in Hendersonville.

Otherwise the aesthetics of it is nice, extremely open, though not super comfortable. Personally I prefer the previous full service restaurant JNN setup and felt that was another element that made them better than the others. With this fast casual concept I can say their to-go configuration and drive through is great. Their quality and consistency of food IS on the mark here to what you expect from JNN! Fluffy cheese biscuits and perfectly cooked meat. And the staff was all super nice.

I've never had a problem at Jimmy John's, but I did today. I went during my lunch break and ended up in a small argument with one of the employees. All i ask was that my sandwich be toasted. He proceeded to tell me that they can't do that. I asked they can't heat it at all for me? He told me it would be an extra five dollars if I wanted to heat my sandwich even though I can't eat cold meat. I told him that was fine if I had to pay the five dollars just so that I could get my sandwich toasted. I never told him I was pregnant, but he jumped to the conclusion that I was (i'm not showing) and made a scene with a full restaurant by saying "my mom never listened to the doctors when she was pregnant and she ate cold deli meat. I think people overreact." First of all, I'm glad that she was able to do that. Second of all he assumed that I was pregnant. I could've had some other medical issue which stopped me from doing that and for him to try to guilt trip me into eating a cold sandwich that could've potentially harm my child is crazy. Lastly it's extremely rude to tell me how to raise my My Baby and telling me that it's OK and that I shouldn't listen to my doctor. Mind you he was a Hispanic middle-aged man and had no place to tell me what I need to do. I ended up paying for my sandwich and leaving. I won't be returning to this location and I will make sure to tell my friends not to go to that location too.
