Things are running smoothly and efficiently as far as drive thrus at fast food places go. There's someone taking your order on a tablet, then you pay another person and then you pull up to the numbered area where they tell you and get your food. Easy. Everyone is wearing masks and very nice. They read your order back to you and ask you if everything's good so your order should be correct. (Notice I said "should.") Personally, I've never had any issues with an order at any location. I think that the lines moved quickly and we got our food fast despite the amount of cars that were in the drive thru. Good job Chik-fil-A!

    Half full "large" fry.

Love Chick-fil-A, but when you pay for a large fry and it comes literally half full, you can't help but leave disappointed and annoyed. They do this every time picture shows exactly how the fries came, not a single one was taken out before this picture was taken

It's hit or miss here. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. But it's fast food, you can't expect too much. The 1488 location has always been better than the research forest location, even though they are owned by the same people I heard. I ordered dinner here tonight and cut my nuggets up to smaller pieces and happened to notice they looked like this. The sight ruined dinner for me in all so I just went ahead and tossed it all. Maybe just an off day, who knows. But usually good service.

    *8ct meal, one was ate.

This may well be my last visit here. It seems the portion sizes are not up to par when compared to other Chick-fil-a locations. I figure if you're spending close to $10 for a nugget meal, they should at least be a decent size. This issue seems to also be true for the portions sizes of the fillets used in their sandwiches/breakfast biscuits. Expect to drive off hungry as "shrinkflation" is in full effect here!

Ordered Prickly Pear Mezcal margarita, Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing light IPA beer, cup of Cream of Cauliflower Soup, Caprese Panini on Focaccia bread with Herbed Fries, West Coaster Panini (Ham, Avocado, Arugula) on Ciabatta bread with Herbed Fries, and a Coffee Fudgy Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream to go. Service was fantastic with our server (Will) being very knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks and food arrived quickly and were fantastic - the drinks were on point, the food ample in quantity and flavorful in taste. The Fudgy Brownie was divine! Well-done! As I mention above, the final tally was a bit shocking. Otherwise, a great place to hang out; planning to return to avail of the Mon/Tue $25 Wine and Bruschetta Board special.

[EDIT only to correct to "Postino"]…read more I use the one-stars sparingly, I really do. This has nothing to do with the food, as we never got that far in the course of my miserable experience at this location (not sure if it's a chain or not). Walked into a relatively quiet restaurant somewhat later in the evening after strolling a bit in the summer Houston heat around the Woodlands. A couple of people recommended Postino. The issue arose when I asked for a possible menu modification. Specifically, I was trying to avoid GOAT CHEESE on the meatball dish I had my eyes on (which otherwise looked pretty tempting). The server indicated that they probably couldn't do it but I nevertheless requested this... a couple of minutes later the server returned with the bad news. Apparently, it simply had to be served as-is, according to the menu. This in itself wouldn't have got me to the point of writing this review. However, I, incredulous, was kind of laughing (you have to laugh) and said something like "so I can only order exactly what's on the menu, and the kitchen can't do anything different?" (slight paraphrasing, perhaps). There wasn't much further conversation with the server but within about 30 seconds of this exchange, a "manager" stormed over to the table and borderline-abusively shouted "is there a problem?!". This "mini-manager" as I will refer to her, proceeded to inform me that they could NOT accommodate changes because it would "violate the integrity of the restaurant" ... I of course I also found a bit humorous, and in this state inquired further about what sense it made to be so obnoxiously strict for someone just trying to grab a quick bite about 30 minutes before closing. I'm sensitive to the work involved in running restaurants and serving obnoxious customers, but I was NOT rude, obnoxious, or difficult. Just blown away by this treatment. I was then informed by the mini-manager that she was from LONDON which I assume meant I should accept that her cosmopolitan background and (I assume vast and high-level culinary experience) meant that I should shut my trap and stop being so picky. At this point I was compelled to mention that I, too, grew up overseas and was very surprised at this complete lack of flexibility. Within another 30 seconds or so of this dialogue, the mini-manager tipped the menu over on the table and abruptly shouted, "you know what, I'm refusing you service!" That made it all easy from there as we promptly (while laughing, partly out of shock) exited the facility. Huge disappointment and embarrassing in my view for a restaurant that seems otherwise to have maintained a great reputation - and especially so for the fact that service (and people in general) in Houston tend to be kind and accommodating, not typically RUDE or reactionary. I'm encouraging this restaurant to have a look at the service model. I can't say I'll try Postino again the next time I'm in Houston, but I certainly hope it continues to truly earn its 4.5 star rating, 'cause they sure did NOT when I was there this weekend.

1-Star Review: Absolute Disaster - Never Returning to True (False) Food Kitchen…read more We had one of the worst dining experiences imaginable at True Food Kitchen. We ordered our food, and it simply never came. After a long wait, our Brazilian waitress kept stringing us along with repeated false updates about how soon it would be ready. She left us hanging the entire time with zero accountability. What made it even more infuriating was the staffing situation. There were visibly more servers and kitchen staff than actual customers in the restaurant. Yet somehow, nothing was getting done. We watched plates of other customers' food sitting in the pass window for over 10 minutes while seven different servers casually walked right by, letting it sit there getting stale and old. Our server in particular seemed completely disinterested in doing her job--she had zero urgency or care for our table. The cavalier, neglectful attitude from the entire team felt like a systemic problem, not just one bad shift. It was as if the restaurant's "healthy, mindful" branding was just a front for pretentious, ill-mannered service that couldn't care less about actually delivering on basics like getting food to the table. We finally flagged down the manager, who at least gave us straight information: our order would still be another 10 minutes on top of the already excessive wait. At that point, we'd had enough and left without eating. This place is a nest of neglectful incompetence. Between the false promises, indifferent staff, and total disregard for customers, we will never patronize True Food Kitchen again. Save your time and money--go somewhere that actually values service.

Jason, Albert, Susan, Sherill, and I basically created our own tasting menu with the Philly Egg Rolls, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, new Crab-Topped Shrimp Scampi, Peri-Peri Garlic Sauce Jumbo Chicken Wings, Blistered Shishito Peppers, and Cauliflower Bites. My personal standouts were the Cauliflower Bites, Crab-Topped Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and Blistered Shishito Peppers. The cauliflower was crispy with that sweet-and-spicy Szechuan sauce, the shrimp came swimming in white-wine garlic butter with capers and grilled bread, the lettuce wraps were fresh and packed with flavor, and those peppers with crispy garlic and miso butter absolutely deserve another order. Jason's favorites were the lettuce wraps, shrimp, cauliflower, and wings, so apparently we can agree on the important things. I also had the Blueberry Mojito made without mint, which made it perfect for me. The restaurant itself is comfortable and inviting--and the blue furniture happens to be my favorite color, so clearly someone in charge of decorating understood the assignment. Great atmosphere, beautiful presentation, plenty of options for sharing, and several dishes we would happily order again. Black Walnut Cafe made our evening together feel a little more special, and we will definitely be back!
