The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and topped with a huge layer of creamy pimento cheese that added a rich, cheesy flavor. The pickled jalapeños gave it a nice little kick without taking over, and the drizzle of honey added just enough sweetness to balance everything out. It sounds like an unusual combination, but it all worked great! It's definitely a messy sandwich, so grab a few extra napkins, but it's worth it. I tried Chick-fil-A and was disappointed that it was nothing more then typical franchise food. I had a Chicken Sandwich with fries and a tomato on the sandwich with an Iced Tea which $13.81 with Tax. There is no indoor seating and the sandwich was no better than McDonalds which was surprising and just as bland as IN & OUT! This location is on Lincoln Blvd in the Marina and while I have passed by thousands of times, I won't be back as the hype doesn't jive with the food. For reference my home Chick-fil-A is in the South Bay and have always enjoyed the food and appreciate the staff for their genuine service. Employees at this location however often discriminate towards minorities. I've been told by others, and I myself have experienced it a number of times. Patrons should not feel like their pockets are sized up based on their looks, ethnicity, or jobs, as if their money isn't good there. I work in the area, and from time to time I get a craving, so I've stopped and can recall many instances in which the employees, particularly those in the drive-thru taking orders, have been dismissive and passive aggressive. This last visit the drive thru attendant rushed my order, asking the next question before I was done saying what I wanted; mind you that I've only stopped there when there is no line as well as letting me know that there will be an upcharge for estra bacon, as if I already didn't know. Also no napkins were provided. Not to be petty, but it's the principle that counts. For instance, there was a time that they were offering samples of the pretzel chicken sandwich and skipped me for whatever reason, not that I wanted it but something told me I was judged because I am a delivery driver although I've never picked up an order from there because I don't particularly do restaurant food delivery although my previous car stated it. Some of the workers there are entitled and really need to learn to show everybody respect regardless of who they are. This is a franchised business and not to bring religion into this but as unapologetic your company is about your core values; some of these employees are a poor representation of biblical Christian values. read more

I went to drive through this morning and got the sausage bowl combo and for the customer service, I would give them a 2 stars because they were very friendly and nice. This was the only positive aspect of the experience. My rating is low because I didn't get utensils in the bag and I couldn't eat the bowl without a spoon or fork and by the time I noticed, I was already far gone. How can you eat without any utensils? These weren't like nuggets so it was frustrating. The other main reason for the low stars is because I asked specifically to not have sugar in the iced mocha drink. I was charged the up charge which I don't mind but by the time I took my first sip, the drink was overloaded with sugar. After Teej and I had hunted down a 7-11 for some lottery tickets, we decided to get a quick breakfast on-the-go to eat either in the car or at our next destination, so since I hadn't yet had the chance to try Chick-fil-A and we happened to drive by one on the way to 7-11, we thought we would give it a go. If you happen to be visiting for the first time, just keep in mind that you can only enter their drive-thru via Lincoln Blvd. We had to wrap around once because we didn't realize we couldn't enter from the back area of this location but once we did, it was pretty smooth sailing. Since there were a few cars ahead of us, we decided to look at their online menu before we got to the order station and both decided on a Hash Brown Scramble Burrito with Nuggets and a Sunjoy. Ordering was quick and easy as was paying and picking-up our food and drink. We decided we would wait to eat though until we got to our destination: Trader Joe's in Marina Del Rey. I must say, I don't know if it was because Marina Del Rey was so beautiful or if it was because the food itself from Chick-fil-A was that good but that was a pretty good breakfast. The Hash Brown Scramble Burrito with Nuggets came with a packet of Mango and Jalapeno Salsa that added a nice touch of heat to the burrito and the burrito itself was perfect cooked and put together nicely. The combination of the eggs, hash browns, and the nuggets with the tortilla was just hard to beat. Simple but filling and delicious. The Sunjoy was also a nice surprise composed of Sweet Tea and Lemonade that paired really nice with the breakfast burrito. Teej and I were so happy with our breakfast choice and definitely fueled up for our shopping trip at Trader Joe's lol. Definitely a must if you're in the area! read more
