The food sucked, i thought it would be a fun experience but it was so thin and the sandwiches took like 5-15 minutes to make, never going back

I often find myself here about once a week for my Jersey Mike's fix. Jersey Mike's are consistently delicious all around with their fresh baked breads, sliced to order meats and cheeses and all the fresh veggies and condiments. The place is always clean and the team always pleasant. Today was no different, except I want to acknowledge the exceptional service and team work by who I think is "Travis" (he wasn't wearing a name tag, but that is what I think I heard his name is). He usually is the nice guy slicing the bread, meats and cheeses and the first to greet you when you enter. This Jersey Mike's typically can get pretty busy at lunch between the delivery orders, the school kids and typical large lunch crowd and "Travis" is always smiling, cranking out the orders and today I notice he also jumped over to clean off the prep boards, help scrape off the sandwich making debris and help his team out without anyone asking. He recognized the need, he saw the opening between slicing the meats etc., and like a smooth running machine, he switched gears and helped his team out all while still smiling, greeting customers and to say I was not only impressed but I was moved enough to write this review. I do wish I could confirm his name, but he is a tall African American with blond hair and always smiling.

As the closest location to me I am here around once every other week, though recent experiences have gone downhill a lot. I also work in Food Safety and have tried different avenues to contact this store to no avail. Attached I have 2 Customer Complaints I filed via their website over 2 weeks ago and no one ever got back to me. First one I had a big piece of plastic wrap clinging between the roast beef and turkey which I took a bite out of (photo). Second one the meat tasted awful sour, dry, and rancid, and the size was abysmal, I had to toss it. Every time I call I am left ringing or they pickup and hang up immediately. You feel bad for the team there because they get chewed out by elderly and picky clientele all the time and I hate to complain in person because I have been there behind the line in their shoes. What the heck should I do if no one is listening to me though? This review is my last resort in hopes that someone will reach out. Incredibly frustrating because I am a big fan when it is done right.

If fresh and delicious is what you want in a sandwich, this is the place! I only set foot in here about a year ago and I'm hooked! The bread is of good quality. Their veggies always look very fresh, but they actually grill your hot sandwiches. They have a grill and no toasters. My favorites are the ham and provolone Mike's way, and Mike's Famous Philly. I've always been that person who loves tons of lettuce on tostadas, sandwiches, tacos, I love it. Most places give you a smidgen of lettuce and I'm weird cause I want a lot. Not here. Here they are very generous and you don't even have to ask. Staff has always given me a warm welcome, even in their busiest times. The quality of food and service is great and consistent. The restaurant looks clean, tables are never dirty. During lunch hour, it can get so busy and yes you'll have a bit of a wait time. Their chocolate chip cookies and brownies are so good. A little pricey. I personally think the brownies are worth it. They are yummy and chewy, and if you can make it to a microwave before devouring it, it will literally melt in your mouth

Thanks Jersey Mike's for serving us good dinner tonight,1/26/23! We walked in and we were greeted warmly by 2 very nice and friendly servers at the Culver City location. We ordered a giant club sub and a giant philly cheesesteak. Both were done with lots of attention and in a timely manner. We were the only ones in the restaurant during that time. The two servers were personable and gave great service. The place was nice and clean. They have a big space for those who would like to eat in. Located between Washington blvd and Sepulveda. The sandwiches were delicious and the bread was soft. Definitely must try if you like good and yummy sandwiches. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant said it was made with white sea bass, but the fish was cut into unusually large cubes that were awkward to eat and a bit too firm to bite through comfortably. More importantly, the fish itself lacked flavor. The biggest disappointment, however, was the leche de tigre. Instead of the bright, citrusy, balanced flavor that defines a great Peruvian ceviche, it tasted more like a ginger soup. The ginger completely overpowered the dish, making it difficult to recognize the classic flavors of authentic Peruvian ceviche. The chicken skewers were also underwhelming. When I order Peruvian-style skewers, I expect them to be grilled over charcoal or an open flame, with a smoky aroma and a nicely charred exterior. Instead, these lacked that signature grilled flavor. While the seasoning had potential, they were noticeably over-salted, and the bottom pieces were soggy, almost as if they had been sitting in their own juices instead of coming straight off the grill. What made the experience harder to justify was the price. We spent over $70 before tip for two entrées, two drinks, and a small side of huancaína sauce. At those prices, I expect authentic flavors and strong execution. Unfortunately, neither dish delivered enough quality to match the cost. The service was friendly, and I genuinely wanted to like this place, but the food fell short. Los Angeles has some excellent Peruvian restaurants, and based on this visit, I don't think Huarique is one I'd return to.

Jackson market as a whole in terms of ambiance, variety, taste definitely overtakes bay cities but if you're just talking about comparing food quality sand which to sand which it will be a tough TIE (it's not less) than bay cities. Bay cities is loaded and so is Jackson but bay cities is a little more juicier where the inside sandwich ingredients shine more and you can definitely taste each of the ingredients eg banana peppers meats deli cheese etc. Jackson market's Italian sub had harder bread but I could see like some would argue it's more balanced. It definitely is a little less juicy and even though there were complimentary banana peppers I hardly tasted it at all as it was sprinkled far and few. If you paid for an added topping eg. Jalepenos they were definitely generous with it. Tip: DO NOT get the French baguette toasted as it'll be too hard. The market is fun because it also offers wine selections ($20-$60), not a fun cheese selection like bay cities, pasta salad, bomb tiramisu, has an entire PIZZA OVEN in the back, fun canned drinks including GUAYABA (an aloe tasting like drink), pastries, and chips/snacks. Ambiance - the patio in the back is spacious and big. They don't allow you to bring a computer to work there and the WiFi and service is pretty bad there. Parking - street parking along residential homes 2 subs ($14.99/each), 2 drinks, 1 large chip ($4.95) came out to be around $44. Overall an amazing find. The 10/10 would come back & especially try the pizza. Revolutionary in food taste ? Probably not but revolutionary in enjoyability and spot find? 1000%. Happy munching !

It's tucked away in a residential neighborhood and parking can get a little tight. When I walked in, it was a little confusing because I did not see any clear directions on how to place my order. I asked another customer who appeared to have been there before and he guided me to this counter with paper that had menu items on it. You have to checkmark the ingredients you want on your sandwich or whatever you're ordering. I wanted an Italian sub, I wasn't sure if I should check off ingredients for an Italian sub, or if just checking Italian sub and the type of bread I wanted would get me a sub with the standard ingredients for an Italian sub. The sub was definitely not what I expected, it was dry and flavorless. I wanted extra onions, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, and extra mayonnaise. None of those ingredients were present, and there was no clear way for me to make the request because it's nearly impossible to interact with the people preparing the food. When it was all said and done, I would definitely not order an Italian sub from here again. Definitely organized chaos! Or, just unorganized depending on how you look at it. It all just appeared to be a little chaotic. I also grabbed some tuna and watermelon, which was a refrigerated section in plastic containers. I ordered the tuna because it listed onions and celery as two of the main ingredients I look for in tuna. The tuna was dry and flavorless. I will need to add more celery, onions, mayonnaise, salt and pepper with a few other ingredients, which means I could have made it myself. I also ordered watermelon, which was not sweet, it tasted like it was cut too close to the rind. I'm still not sure how I feel about Jackson Market. Based on some of the responses from the owners, I don't think I would return. I don't understand why we can't come to a platform like Yelp and give our honest opinion without the owners responding so harshly, instead of taking the criticism and using it to their advantage, or not. As far as Italian Subs go, may I suggest Ghost Sando or Philly's Best? Even Jersey Mike's is better. IMHO! This review was typed on a mobile device, please forgive any typos.
